BRILLIANT woman in Cheltenham did it.

It hasn't worked yet and apparently it can take up to 2 weeks to take effect, but should be apparent in a couple of days.

Didn't hurt - was expecting it to be like those monstrous dental injections. 6 injections, no pain, just slight scratch.

Yay! Hatchet-face BEGONE.

Will report back when I start looking like Gisele Bundchen

What have people said about it?

TattyDevine · 17/06/2011 20:58

Excellent!

My advice is resist the urge to tell anyone.

You should start seeing some initial effects by the end of the weekend, and most by mid-week.

Enjoy!

dearprudence · 17/06/2011 21:03

Oh, I'm very tempted. Staring Watching with interest.

Al0uiseG · 17/06/2011 21:06

It takes a few days to "take" you know it's working when you can't frown! Amazingly it made me less grumpy, I think just by not frowning I don't get miserable.

Very tempted to have Dermal fillers now.

chr0nic · 17/06/2011 21:07

Can I ask a rude question... how old are you? I was thinking of having it done when I am 40 - or is prevention better than cure?

And please update us when it starts to take effect. I would love to know how much of an effect it has on your looks/confidence (although I guess we are all different in that respect).

starmucks · 17/06/2011 21:09

Hmmm, I seriously curious too. My face remains creased for most of the morning now. Can't sleep on my back, intervention with the needle may be the only answer.

sassyTHEFIRST · 17/06/2011 21:09

Oh, Getorf is about 23 (so she says). For me, this is yet more proof that she is an Elder Stateswoman poster...

TattyDevine · 17/06/2011 21:09

AlouseG (you were reg yeah?) can you tell me where you go? You are local to me I believe and I need a recommendation as I'm looking to change practitioner...

winnybella · 17/06/2011 21:11

GetOrf- aren't you only 32 or 33?

Al0uiseG · 17/06/2011 21:16

TattyDevine, Lucy Glancey in Langham. She's absolutely lovely but she's clearly had every procedure going. If you google her she'll come up.

TattyDevine · 17/06/2011 21:19

Ah yes Glancey. I've been teetering between her and Someone Else - she does follow ups and top ups if it isn't quite there? is it £250 for 2 areas or more?

Mwah x

Al0uiseG · 17/06/2011 21:22

I had 2 areas and it was £200, I went back after 2 weeks for a follow up and she would have topped it up gratis if it hadn't been enough.

Who's the Someone Else?

TattyDevine · 17/06/2011 21:27

Carol-Ann Martin

Does a clinic here and there and everywhere

No online reviews of any great note, but a couple of very good face-to-face testimonials...

I've been going to Ravi at Zen Clinic but last lot really did'nt last so well...nothing to lose by trying someone else as long as i don't get any side effects. I think I wll try your one. I was veering towards her anyway. And I'm pissing distance from Langham...

psiloveyou · 17/06/2011 21:29

I had it done yesterday. I said on another thread I'm so excited I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas eve. I keep looking in the mirror and I want it to work now.

Al0uiseG · 17/06/2011 21:31

I know of Ravi, will google the other one. I trust Lucy because she is a Doctor.

TattyDevine · 17/06/2011 21:37

Ravi is too, to be fair, but apparently he is "not known for the strength of his Botox".

Now I have NO IDEA whether this is fair or not - I have nothing to compare it to. And I have been happy-ish till recently. All I really want is to try someone else without paying more and/or suffering unnecessary side-effects.

I think I might be a top-up person for the 11's.

If I go elsewhere and get 6 good months or something, I will seriously quetion Ravi, and actually will probably go in there and confront him about it in the nicest possible way Grin

He said last time the 11's will "be better" but they really aren't - it might not be his fault or it might be - and in the process he missed the top section of my forehead, and I now feel liney up towards my hairline. Gah!

FREEZE THE LOT YOU BARSTARDS.

Al0uiseG · 17/06/2011 21:43

I'm sure he's a nice guy but there has been a fraud case relating to the old practice, which stops me trusting him totally. Also my friend ended up with a black eye after her 3rd session and another friend looks permanently surprised.

Won't be shocked if this gets the "message deleted by mumsnet" treatment :o

Al0uiseG · 17/06/2011 21:44

Shit, you can tell the Essex birds on this thread! Sorry Getorf.

TattyDevine · 17/06/2011 21:48

INTERESTING

Me thinks me and Ravi have to do lunch, innit.

GetOrf · 17/06/2011 22:41

I haven't noticed any effect yet - had it done at 6pm.

I keep looking into mirrors like a self-obsessed twat.

Alouise - you didn't look as if you had had botox, you just looked miraculously and amazingly unlined (that's the point, I suppose).

This woman in Cheltenham was very thorough, she looked excellent herself but in a natural way. I was very impressed. I was also impressed how little it hurt - I was expecting agony.

I am only 33 and tbh I am not that lined, but my natural expression is a frown (and I spend about 10 hrs a day looking at spreadsheets and CAD and mumsnet so frown a lot at computers). I just want to stop frowning so I don't look older than I am. Hopefully very fine lines will be easier to cure than deep set ones (and they would be deep set by the time I am 40).

Have also booked myself in for a microdermabrasion (I don't know what it is exactly but it looks and sounds technical) and also a brazillian wax! Premature mid-life crisis here I come. Ha!

Georf Im jealous and impressed in equal measure. Wish you had posted before and afters-is it too late?

LovelyDaffs · 17/06/2011 22:52

Where (on your face) did you have your botox? My 11's took ten days to take effect but only a couple of days for the crows feet.

GetOrf · 17/06/2011 22:58

I am not putting pics of my haggard old visage up on mumsnet for the hordes to take the piss out of cyb Grin

But think Grotbags (albeit less green) for the before pic.

Lovely - the 11s only. Didn't need it in outer eyebrows (woman in clinic said it would make me look like Amanda Holden Grin) and don't have crows feet yet. I like crows feet anyway, makes people look all smily. It's just the haggard 11s which are so ageing.

Ok just pm me then

I'm seriously considering and want to see a normal persons face
