I have just had botox! <stares in mirror>

BRILLIANT woman in Cheltenham did it.

It hasn't worked yet and apparently it can take up to 2 weeks to take effect, but should be apparent in a couple of days.

Didn't hurt - was expecting it to be like those monstrous dental injections. 6 injections, no pain, just slight scratch.

Yay! Hatchet-face BEGONE.

Will report back when I start looking like Gisele Bundchen

Beer goggles and Botox, it's enough to get the Elephant man laid.

DollyTwat · 30/06/2011 21:29

Getorff can you bring a pic of you before the Botox to the meetup so I can see the difference? I'll book the same place as you then
I have my redundancy money and thought I'd treat myself Grin

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/06/2011 21:52

I do love my botox and DH thinks ilooke a lot happeir/less tired with it.

So now I am serioulsy contemplating a boob job as bf/pregnancies x3 has seriously depleted them - anyone had one?

GetOrf · 30/06/2011 22:12

Looking forward to meet up

I will be looking very closely at you Getorff!
I've asked for them to call me

GetOrf · 30/06/2011 23:05

Oh she is LOVELY Dolly, really chatty and friendly. Sorry about your redundancy btw (unless you are pleased about it then hurray!)

It has made me feel so much more confident about what I look like. Can see that it is addicitve though - am looking at my face thinking 'what next'

OP posts:
DollyTwat · 30/06/2011 23:18

I couldn't be more pleased about it!
I'm one of the lucky ones who's escaped with cash!
I'll be setting up my own business doing IT support and training
As soon as I've sorted my house out - a skip is required!
I'm just taking it easy for now, have worked all my life except for maternity leave so a few weeks off is well deserved
And Botox

DollyTwat · 01/07/2011 19:22

I'm booked in for monday
excited
scared

DollyTwat · 01/07/2011 19:23

Oh Getorff if I say you recommended me will you get a discount next time?

Al0uiseG · 01/07/2011 19:25

Exciting! Just think when you're self employed you can claim your aesthetic procedures as legit business expenses, after all you don't want to scare the clientele ;-)

FellatioNelson · 01/07/2011 19:29

Are you going on another meet-up Getorf? Were Alouiseg and I not enough of a warning to you? Shock

Where is it? Who is going?

Al0uiseG · 01/07/2011 20:38

I think it's a West cuntry Country meet up. it's all Jilly Cooper and sunsets.

DollyTwat · 01/07/2011 21:09

It's in glaaaaarstershire Fellatio and you (and Alouiseg are most welcome)
I'm sure I can get Botox past the tax man somehow, dental work??

DollyTwat · 04/07/2011 15:42

I've had it done!
Getorff she says she'll give you £35 off next time for the recommendation. I'll tell you my name Saturday!

Al0uiseG · 04/07/2011 18:05

How many areas did you have done?

DollyTwat · 04/07/2011 18:26

She made me frown then she did all the areas of my 'difficult frown'
So just the area where my line is, about 8 injections

Al0uiseG · 04/07/2011 19:54

You won't go past a mirror without a quick peep for the next fortnight :o I nearly crashed the car admiring my non frowning forehead.

DollyTwat · 04/07/2011 20:14

You didn't say you'd had it too!
She said it might take a few times to get rid of the line completely so I'll see what it looks like and if it's a good result I'll have more.

I have been looking every 5 mins!

Al0uiseG · 04/07/2011 20:26

I did, but about 400 posts ago. While I still can't frown I feel as if my forehead is desperately trying to frown again, the skin just wants to frown all by itself Hmm I may go back for some more to keep on top of it.

CoteDAzur · 09/07/2011 21:51

Encouraged by this thread (and youthful faces of some RL friends 10 years my senior), I booked an appointment for next wednesday Grin

Can anyone tell me what to look out for, which questions to ask?

Al0uiseG · 09/07/2011 22:21

I would only go to a Doctor and only a recommended one. Apart from that, it's amazing and you will love it. There is no pain just a few little pricks. Wink

CoteDAzur · 09/07/2011 22:24

He comes highly recommended. It will be a problem to avoid friends when I go for appointments Grin

Anything to ask for at first appointment? I was thinking of asking for a half dose to begin with, so that the change from my usual face will not be as conspicuous.

Al0uiseG · 09/07/2011 22:31

No point, just go for it, you'll regret it if you don't see a significant change. Hardly anyone will notice except you.

mercia123 · 17/07/2011 12:25

Hi everyone considering having botox. I had 2 areas done on the forehead ( no 11,s and forehead line ) and crows feet at side of eyes,. I,m on day 11 now and i have a problem with my eyes...my forehead feels very heavy causing my eyes to look smaller. When i apply mascara the mascara touches the uppe eyelid...did not have this problem before....going back for a review next week any ideas on what sort of action i should take many thanks for any replys xx

Al0uiseG · 17/07/2011 12:48

Oh no! No ideas I'm afraid but let us know how your review went and if they did anything to correct it.
