BRILLIANT woman in Cheltenham did it.

It hasn't worked yet and apparently it can take up to 2 weeks to take effect, but should be apparent in a couple of days.

Didn't hurt - was expecting it to be like those monstrous dental injections. 6 injections, no pain, just slight scratch.

Yay! Hatchet-face BEGONE.

Will report back when I start looking like Gisele Bundchen

How long does it last? Dont you have to get redone every howeverlongitlasts?

GetOrf · 17/06/2011 23:04

All right will take pics then put on profile but only let you see (think that can be done). I will wait and do it in daylight though because my house seems only to be lit by 40 watt lightbulbs so looks like a morgue - any pic will be decieving. I will take pic in morning (it will not have taken effect by then).

I only want a natural look because I haven't told a soul (except dp) and I would be v embarassed if anyone at work noticed I had had botox for instance. I just want to look like a better version of me.

have pmed you mrs

jimswifein1964 · 17/06/2011 23:07

Hmmm, I dont think I'd do it for only 12wks of benefit, even if you do swear there was no pain

MumblingRagDoll · 17/06/2011 23:08

Where can they put it? How exciting GO! I want some! Can they do cats bum mouth? I have a slight wrinkle on one upper lip....does Botox fix that or do I have to have fillers?

Can we see pics?

LovelyDaffs · 17/06/2011 23:22

Ha ha that's what I said, but my 11's are v deep although much improved by the Botox it made me realise that if I'd had them done a few years ago (am 10 years older than you) then they wouldnt be so ingrained. That's why I had the crows feet done, only have very feint lines so the Botox is to prevent mega grooves.

Am now officially addicted.

LovelyDaffs · 17/06/2011 23:23

Mumbling you can't have Botox around the mouth, so fillers it is I'm afraid.

GetOrf · 17/06/2011 23:32

The woman I saw was very sensible - I asked about fillers for cats bum mouth lines. She said that I had NO lines and she wouldn't even think of advising me to have filler. So she is not after a fast buck which is very reassuring.

You can have Botox for catsbum mouth here's a pic

Keep us posted GetOrf as things start to gradually freeze in place Grin

Pagwatch · 18/06/2011 10:34

But. But . But....
Getorf you are so young and so beautiful. How can you be having it while I am only pondering?

I am 50 in Nov and I am finally going to go and see someone I think. I don't mind getting older but I just feel my face is sliding floor wards in an expression of perplexed misery

I am a very happy chap but I am told my face looks scowly which I am sure it does.

Arf at microdermerbrasion and Brazilian. Top and tails.

Pagwatch · 18/06/2011 10:55

I am sorry. I killed your thread with my self obsessed angst.

Ds1 is 18 tomorrow. I am just feeling old.

Does it hurt. Does it swell or do anything odd looking?

cybbo · 18/06/2011 11:24

I woudl love that tear trough filler stuff

< sleepy hollows>

nothingnatural · 18/06/2011 11:28

Oo Getorf who did you see? My folks live in Chelt and I have the fizzog of a winkled old tablecloth. I could combine a visit to them with a little . . . um . . . rest. And return home looking refreshed.

Was it staggeringly expensive?

Al0uiseG · 18/06/2011 12:21

I fancy the tear trough procedure too, it's just a needle full of filler being pointed at my eyes which I find faintly alarming. Apparently fillers really hurt too, whereas botox is less painful than an eyebrow wax.

noddyholder · 18/06/2011 12:25

For some reason I just can't even consider fillers. Terrified of them. Still loving the botox but really think i will be having it for life as the 2-3 weeks when it had fully worn off I did look rough and just couldn't get my make up to look right. I look better with botox and absolutely no make up than made up without!

cybbo · 18/06/2011 12:28

my eyebrows arent QUITE as bad as this but that way inclined

I read on that article someone linked to that they brows be lifted by strategic injecting - could they be lifted just at the inner bit to open eye? Dont want winged ends winging up anymore than they already do

noddyholder · 18/06/2011 12:30

I like those brows! Mine lifted very slightly. Eyes also look more open which is to do with placement but I am not sure where. I only have forehead done have never seen crows feet where face doesn't look odd. In some ways I wish I had never started!

cybbo · 18/06/2011 12:31

Ack dont say that

Those brows are vulcanesque! Want to open my eye for a lift but dont wish to take off

noddyholder · 18/06/2011 12:32

Not that extreme but a bit of lift gets rid of hood effect. i just went to look in mirror to see why I love it and I think I had become blase but it is actually miraculous.

cybbo · 18/06/2011 12:36

lol you should have shares in it nodders

noddyholder · 18/06/2011 12:54

I should because I would rather not eat than give it up Grin!

faustina · 18/06/2011 13:16

about it all disappearing in twelve weeks, and you going back to how you were before... I don't think it does. The woman who does mine said something about how you will never frown as much as you did - your muscles learn different ways (I hope that makes sense). I have certainly found this to be the case - there's no way I have the same hideous frown/lines at the end of 12 weeks, although I can definitely see the difference as it wears off.

I totally agree with noddy - it's miraculous

noddyholder · 18/06/2011 13:28

I do think they soften but the difference between when it is in full swing and at teh end is still haggard on me!

Meglet · 18/06/2011 13:46

I would love botox. I frown in my sleep and give myself headaches. Crows eyes are fine, but between my brows needs un-crumpling.

I use frownies but they are a PITA to take off so can only do it at weekends.
