BRILLIANT woman in Cheltenham did it.

It hasn't worked yet and apparently it can take up to 2 weeks to take effect, but should be apparent in a couple of days.

Didn't hurt - was expecting it to be like those monstrous dental injections. 6 injections, no pain, just slight scratch.

Yay! Hatchet-face BEGONE.

Will report back when I start looking like Gisele Bundchen

Yay! I have had it done too! 42 and was really getting irritated by people asking me why I was frowing when I wasn't, happy with rest of face but those pesky frown lines started bothering me. Am ecstatic with the results! I haven't told anyone and treated myself although it is a bit pricey! Shock It took minutes to do and then about a week to really show effects. If you have the money and you want to feel better about yourself I say go for it! :)

I had my "top up" last Monday. I thought she was going to have to top up my Glabellar but it properly kicked in after 10 or so days and I really cannot frown now.

She topped me up on some really high up muscles near the hairline, and she addressed my "comma lines". She said that she can inject some in those muscles that facilitate them without my brow dropping, it will decrease the lift at the sides slightly but I'm slightly vulcan anyway so that's not a bad thing as long as it doesn't drop them. She says it will be a lesser dose there and a less agressive approach. Thus far I can still move them and make comma lines happen but I think they are gradually getting weaker. Its only 6 days since top up so I'd expect the full effects by about midweek, end of the week at the latest so will be interesting to see.

My frown lines and tram lines are completely gone. I look smooth and flat like an 18 year old! Really happy with this new practitioner.

I've started to be able to frown again and it's really annoying me, I must make another appointment.

Al0uiseG · 17/07/2011 14:48

What are comma lines?

anyideas · 17/07/2011 15:49

I've had mine done for 3 weeks and the frown lines are gone - I am however getting new lines (or ones i notice more) if you can imagine on my temples.( kind of!) Near the outer corner of my eyebrows.
She says if she tops up there i might get drooping. Is this right? I kind of want my money worth.

TracyK · 17/07/2011 16:41

Al0uiseG - when did you have yours done? I can't frown yet - but I can see my no 11's aren't as baby smooth as before.

Al0uiseG · 17/07/2011 16:45

Mid may.

LovelyDaffs · 17/07/2011 17:46

Alouiseg was it your first time? My frown lines were done in mid April and had to be redone two weeks ago, it was the first time Id had them done. My doctor said he used a lot more this time and that each time should last longer.

Al0uiseG · 17/07/2011 17:49

Yes it was my first time, i had been told that the first one was the best, it appears i have been misinformed.

TracyK · 17/07/2011 20:18

Yes I was mid may too.
I need to go back for a patch test for laser - so I think I'll ask for a top up then too.

CoteDAzur · 17/07/2011 21:45

Isn't that a bit short? Only two months? I was led to expect at least 3 and probably 4 months.

Al0uiseG · 17/07/2011 21:52

I think it does last that long but I've found that my totally non existent frown has started to creep back. If I look in a mirror I can see where my muscles want to start pulling into the middle again. I still don't have a frown but the muscles definitely have a memory.

TracyK · 18/07/2011 07:39

I'm hoping second time round is a bit better. When I challenge him on the shortness - he will either say he was cautious the 1st time - or my muscles are just too strong.
I'm hoping he will give me a good price for repeat dosage -based on the shortness. It only cost me £80 (Groupon intro price) - which I don't mind paying every 10 weeks - but I will be a bit put out if it will cost me his usual £150.

Al0uiseG · 18/07/2011 08:26

I think thats why people start on the fillers, they can last up to a year.

TracyK · 18/07/2011 09:18

hmm - might ask him about them when I'm there. I primarily got botox to lift my eyelids tho - not sure fillers would fix that easily would they?

CoteDAzur · 18/07/2011 09:19

Tracy - Could it be that he gave you an inferior product or just less Botox because you paid less than his usual fee?

TheBolter · 18/07/2011 09:35

I had my frown lines done a week ago - yay! - I'm only 35 but was fed up of looking constantly tired and cross. A week later, it's really kicked in and I look so smooth and serene - as if I've had an amazingly relaxing holiday and ten hour's sleep a night for the last month.

Would definitely recommend. I do slightly regret telling my twenty-something sister as I have a feeling she doesn't approve. Clearly because she has the kind of beauty still that means she can stay out until six am and look stunning that day! Apart from her only my best friend knows.

TheBolter · 18/07/2011 09:36

Sorry - just hijacked, didn't read whole thread - I'm so excited I needed to tell someone!

Al0uiseG · 18/07/2011 12:12

I share your excitement, is the mirror your very best friend at the moment.

TheBolter · 18/07/2011 12:34

Yes - sadly enough!

TracyK · 18/07/2011 16:09

I'm hoping not Cotedazur. It is a very large, respected (?) clinic in Glasgow - so I would hope he would have the sense not to jeopordise his reputation. I have a thread from a while back with the names of the good botox and I'll ask him which he uses.
