I would never wear yellow gold.
I would never wear a scrunchie.
I would never wear clothing with a logo i.e 'adidas'
I would never wear trainers unless to zumba.
I would never wear crocs.
I would never wear hotpants.

dexter73 · 24/05/2011 22:21

I think with going braless, it is usually very obvious that the person isn't wearing one due to the jiggling. It's a bit like when men wear lycra shorts and you can't stop staring at their crotch. I would find it very uncomfortable to not wear one and I have an average sized chest. Also I think it makes you look slimmer if your boobs are hoiked up rather than swinging around!

Asinine · 24/05/2011 22:28

Are fleeces really that bad?
Can I not wear one if I'm out in the countryside?
Please?
With mum jeans...

pmsl at fleeces with wolves!

yy to fleeces. yick.

poweredbytea - re dhs - yup tighter, shorter etc - thats the theme.

also yy to logo clothing and trainers. i own trainers, they are specialist running shoes, for running. i wear them, whilst running, properly and not for a bus. i have not felt a need to wear trainers on any other occasion since i was a teen.

mum jeans with chunky heeled black boots would be my ultimate fashion error.

TrillianAstra · 24/05/2011 22:56

Soooooo are there any clothes left to make the MN uniform, what with all the things that people will never wear?

Let me guess, skinny black trousers, breton top, silk scarf knotted around neck and cigarette in a cigarette holder to complete the poncey French look :o

BettyTurnip · 24/05/2011 23:04

What are 'walked in' flares thesecondcoming?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 24/05/2011 23:08

So many things on the taboo list have already been mentioned.

Has anyone mentioned short-sleeved jackets of manmade fibres? The kind that an older lady might wear to a luncheon at her DH's lodge?

Or indeed any of the 'cruisewear' touted by the questionable boutique in town.

marilynwhirlwind · 24/05/2011 23:11

Those jumpers/cardigans with blouses sewn in to make it look like two tops, it's just a personal thing but I really don't like them.

FellatioNelson · 24/05/2011 23:19

I loathe those marilyn. And they are always a white shirty bit, with a black or a red jumper bit. How the feck are you supposed to wash that? Confused

Or the v- neck tops with a bit of white cotton inside the v to look like a vest

BulletWithAName · 24/05/2011 23:26

jeans that are a bit too long and i've walked the back of them in...so slightly frayed at the back, it might be a 'northern' thing

Nope, my DP does this and we're Southerners!

What's a waterfall cardigan? Confused

MrsFruitcake · 25/05/2011 07:31

Navy and black - a definite no for me. It looks awful.

I was taught by my Mother that if you wear black then it's black tights, if navy, navy tights etc and your shoes should always match your handbag - although I don't usually bother with that bit.

I'd never wear anything from Fat Face shudder and I refuse to do the skinny jean thing. I live in my fitted boden crops in the warmer months.

MrsFruitcake · 25/05/2011 07:34

Forgot to say - I went to a job interview yesterday and the lady being seen after me turned up wearing jeans - what's that all about? The job was for a PA position and I wore a dress and heels - since when did jeans and a smart top become suitable interview attire?

Bonsoir · 25/05/2011 07:34

Matching tights and skirt/dress is just an awful look!

Bonsoir · 25/05/2011 07:35

MrsFruitcake - it depends on the industry. Lots of industries are very casual these days.

DrNortherner · 25/05/2011 07:37

Well I wear a navy dress with a black blazer and it looks fab and loads of us wear bare legs in the office in the summer.

I also wear jeggings, gladiator sandals, uggs (well bearpaws but same thing) and skinny jeans and peg trousers (that folk on here say make your arse look huge)

And I wear loads of ADIDAS stuff, but only for running in.

And I think I am pretty stylish Grin

DrNortherner · 25/05/2011 07:38

Mrs F, I work in marketing and all sorts goes. In fact, no one ever wears typical 'office' attire. Agree with Bonsoir, matching navy tights to navy skirt is afwul.

MrsFruitcake · 25/05/2011 07:41

I work in the medical industry, it's certainly not casual in that area.

I don't do the tights thing BTW - I don't wear them in the office in the summer.
