I'm scared of women on make-up counters.

They have much more confidence than me, that's for sure. A teacher on here once said she didn't wear make-up. I'm sure she's stunningly beautiful but couldn't help thinking it's the sort of thing my friends and I would have really bitched about when we were at school... (we got enough mileage out of Miss Downey's green tight fetish).

Er, my DH is used to me without makeup. He is rather vigorously opposed to me wearing makeup.

Dunno about best friends, I think my female best friends generally have been women who wore makeup, and hence presumably felt I would have looked better with?

I think makeup looks funny if worn in any quantity at all. I find myself staring at people's eyeliner, rather than their face.

buffytheharpsichordcarrier · 30/10/2005 21:28

actually cod I am fresh faced and gorgeous
no need to gild the lily

hunkermunker · 30/10/2005 21:28

It does, Cod. I'm a naturist.

MrsSpoon · 30/10/2005 21:28

I don't wear make-up every day (sometimes not even every week). I do look more polished with make-up on and whether I wear make-up or not I cleanse, tone and moisturise. I have relatively good skin.

Will always wear make-up when on a night out.

PiccadillyCircus · 30/10/2005 21:28

I'm happy with how I look without makeup .

cod, stop beating round the bush and say what you really think, why don't you

NotQuiteCockney · 30/10/2005 21:30

Cod, I have just passed on your theory to DH, who is next to me on the sofa. He is very confused now.

Seriously, when we met, I had a shaved head and no makeup.

He's now saying, all the men married to women who wear makeup, are off having affairs with women who don't wear makeup. As they need to find something to do for the 20 minutes while the women do their faces. (He did used to date someone who wore makeup, I now remember.)

albosmum · 30/10/2005 21:30

i have fab, beautiful clear skin lovely eyes/ lashes and am slightly delusional

hunkermunker · 30/10/2005 21:31

Does anyone wear make-up if they're not leaving the house?

I paint my arse blue on those days.

I just wear really expensive glasses. I can't wear cheap nasty ones, and I've gone off contacts.

So Cod - you put make up on every day, all day for absolutely no reason, irrespective of what you are doing or whether you stay in or go out? Thats fucking weird if you ask me.
