Oh my, what a morning. I've just driven 40 miles round trip to buy a pregnancy test having realised last night it's been 7 weeks!! (Couldn't buy one more locally, or everyone would have known by elevenses). Thank heavens it was negative. And breathe...
Maybe it's the menopause?

Then when I got home I took delivery of a Phase 8 top that I'd bought before in a 12 but was massive. By then the 10 was sold out. However I've been studying the photo I took and realised I still really wanted it as it looked really good on, and I found one on John Lewis in an 8. I thought I'd try it, just in case, seeing as the 12 was ginormous, and IT FITS!! Yipee! Here it is and they've got a 10 and 12 back in stock now!

carciofi, sorry you had a bad start to the day. Take it easy today. I'm sure you have lots of happy memories. Will be thinking about you.

Thanks for the new thread shewhomust..

notyummy · 10/03/2011 10:55

Stamp (from wedge boots- am also in maxi skirt!)

Bloss - that sounds like a traumatic morning!! Am glad it ended happily for you. Smile

Zembo · 10/03/2011 11:12

Carciofi so sorry, missed what you said earlier. Will be thinking of you too.

Bloss phew, that must have been a nerve racking trip!!

blossoming · 10/03/2011 11:19

It's getting better! My Jimmy Choo boots just sold at Buy Now price!

Also, talking about trenches, did anyone else get the Banana Republic email this morning? All trenches down to £99.50 from £150. Here

OllieWollieWoo · 10/03/2011 12:21

When will I learn? The Karen Millen funnel neck coat in navy I liked at the beginning of Jan is now reduced - had one in my size online at Selfridges and went to order and puff, out of stock - as is everywhere else! Note to self - don't be such a tight a**e and buy when you see it!

Bloss - been there too (except my trip to the chemist was in rural France on holiday last year - ended up with the most bizarre test kit). Came up negative and then the next day, er Aunt Flo (sorry tmi)returned! Most strange.
Great re your JCs.

MarshaBrady · 10/03/2011 12:26

Ah hello! Grin I wondered why the other thread wouldn't let me post .

I like those BR ones Bloss but have a trench already phew. Here is a Jil Sander bright one to add to the mix.

Have spoken to job people and they will use me for next project which is good. So I could relax and take it easy for another few months or I could do it anyway, will have a think!

AllBuggiedOut · 10/03/2011 12:34

Loving all this talk of trenches ladies!

The DVF Trapp dress arrived yesterday - pictures on my profile. Opinions please! And if it's a yes, how would I accessorise for my 40th? Ignore the shoes (only heels I have Blush).

Photos are visible to mates only so let me know if you can't see them. I think it was a few months back I last updated the list and so am probably missing loads of you, sorry!

blossoming · 10/03/2011 12:47

It looks good on you abo. You've got a great figure. What d'you mean they're the only heels you have??

My only issue is whether it is special enough for your 40th. It's the t-shirt look of the top half that I would struggle with and find hard to wear a necklace with.
They've accessorised it with long dangly earrings, an animal print clutch and neutral heels here. Gold accessories would be good.
I really liked you in that purple colour, so found this dvf for you to think about!

carciofi · 10/03/2011 13:11

It was just the way DH said it, he is not very together in the mornings so I will let it go! We went out and DD chose a big bunch of daffodils in her honour, they look very cheerful on the mantelpiece.

Just remembered that I also have this pink Coach trench (not my auction). Too pink? I do like it.

Bloss, my maternity wardrobe could have gone straight to you!

ABO, I agree that you look great but the dress needs more accessories and different shoes.

OWW, maybe you can find the coat on Asos or House of Fraser? What size do you need? I will keep an eye out.

AllBuggiedOut · 10/03/2011 13:11

Thanks bloss - not least for introducing me to The Shred Grin. I agree entirely about its t-shirt-ness. And in a way that appeals to me as I think I'd get a lot of future wear out of it. Hair up and big earrings is definitely a possibility... Will probably ditch the specs too.

The other DVF is too pink. Reds and orangey reds are good, but anything vaguely pink is dreadful on me. And I do fear it's verging on that grown-up thing again... I think I'm terrified of looking like whatever the female equivalent of "dancing dad at wedding" is Grin

bouncingblueberries · 10/03/2011 13:14

oops, was wondering why the other thread was so quiet...thought I'd killed it Blush

bloss you've had a hectic morning! Great news re JC ebay success.

abo can't see your photos but the dvf dress bloss linked to in gorgeous!

As for trenches, can't do double-breasted with my big boobs but love those bright ones.

Have been hunting for shoes to dress up navy Janice and have found:

these P8 ones

still like these or even in purple??

maybe more party-like?

would this be bonkers?

Any thoughts?

carciofi · 10/03/2011 13:19

Just ordered www.purecollection.com/products-Gassato-Cashmere-Sweater_LK-E41.htm this in sand with Exhausted's code. By the time it arrives it will almost fit me!

Which is nicer, the Mulberry Lily or AH Gracie?

Bloss, lovely top and great about the sale. I think a new BR trench would be perfect for Rome. Smile

AllBuggiedOut · 10/03/2011 13:19

Glad you have daffs to make you smile carciofi.

Have added you bouncing.

carciofi · 10/03/2011 13:21

Bouncingblueberries, I really like the Eden slingbacks.

AntPants1 · 10/03/2011 13:26

ABO can I see your picture?

blossoming · 10/03/2011 13:28

That would be a 'yes' to bonkers bouncing! (Have you namechanged?) I like the Eden slingbacks best. What size are you? I have silver JC's on ebay this week (fishing, fishing..!)

I love the Lily carciofi. Btw I just found a long sleeve black double layer top from Formes. It's basically a double layer long sleeve t-shirt, quite form hugging, I used to look like Mr Greedy in it, if you're interested?

Still laughing at teenage abo at 40!

blossoming · 10/03/2011 13:30

I like that jumper carciofi. I shall investigate cashmere now I have my debobbler! Needs new batteries already!

bouncingblueberries · 10/03/2011 13:42

oooooh gorgeous cashmere carciofi - I worked in a cashmere woolen mill, in the shop when I was a poor student so have a huge appreciation for cashmere!

bloss no name change, thought the bonkers shoes were bonkers but was dazzled by the blue Grin I'm a 6.5 shoe size...what size are your JC???

abo I'm going to redouble my shred efforts after seeing your figure! (cool cake too btw!) dress looks fab but a pair of new heels a must (not the bonkers ones I linked too though obviously...Grin)

See, I still have sooooo much to learn from you ladies.

AllBuggiedOut · 10/03/2011 13:42

You should be able to now antpants.

I also like the Eden best bouncing. The Phase 8s look very middle aged to me, and I'm struggling with the colour combo in the bonkers pair!

In denial, me? Never Wine [hic] Grin

AllBuggiedOut · 10/03/2011 13:43
carciofi · 10/03/2011 13:46

Bloss, I would love it, thank you. I shrank my black maternity tops so it would be great. I resemble Mr Greedy myself now.

DD went off and used her potty while I was in the kitchen. Unfortunately she neglected to pull down her tights and knickers first but I gave her a star anyway!

blossoming · 10/03/2011 14:08

PM your address carciofi, and it's yours!

What a shame bouncing, they're a 40.5.

AllBuggiedOut · 10/03/2011 14:15

That's fantastic progress carciofi, definitely deserves a star!
