Hi there ladies!

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 29/03/2011 09:23

Morning! Lovely links nice stuff.

I have worked sooo much (nothing lofty, trying to avoid childcare costs so can keep all funds).

Only another half day this week, so am relaxing today.

Need to crack on with ds1's birthday party. Do all food and cake. Luckily have an entertainer coming!

Is it bad that last night I was thinking we should get another date set for the next Moamu? Be fab to get a new outfit and new heels for it Wink Grin

Hi everyone! Well done on 'discussion of the day' everything.
Hope all the poorly LOs and parents are feeling better today.
Made the mistake of buying Heat magazine. How has Kate Middleton got that body? I give up.
Off teaching next. What to wear? It's a bit overcast with the chance of rain.
It may be red and white breton with fuchsia cardigan and grey trousers.
Realised this morning that my slate grey linen vest from Poetry, looks very doable with my Boden white denim skirt. Nice colour combination, and a mile from nautical. Maybe I should do more juggling with wardrobe combinations instead of instantly clicking on 'buy now'!

FritziGreenEyes · 29/03/2011 12:26

bloss KM is young and hasn't had her body stretched by pregnancy yet. Everyone who has seen you at MOAMU will agree that you look absolutely fab. Step away from mag now!

DD complained this morning about itchy scalp and it just ocurred to me that it could be ..... lice . She has never had any but I will rush to pharmacy and buy all the essentials right now.

blossoming · 29/03/2011 12:35

Thank you fritzi. You should have seen it though. White bikini, on the beach, not a pear, not an apple. And amazing abs Envy.
Hope your diagnosis is incorrect!

OllieWollieWoo · 29/03/2011 13:12

Run Fritzi run (to the pharmacy that is)! Better to launch an attack on the little critters at the first sign of them - use the nit comb to see if you can see any eggs?
Blossoming - I love grey and white together. I have a nice great top I wear to death with my white 7/8's or city shorts.
Anniemac - good shopping!

I think I jinxed myself by mentioning how I liked ditsy prints as I was ditsy by nature - had seen some nice cushions (on sale) for our garden furniture in a catalogue that came through the door. Popped into DIY store today clutching picture, walked around and around, found cushion section, none in stock etc. Asked a shop assistant and was about to say how silly it was to not have items in stock when they were advertised as being on sale and he pointed out I was in completely the wrong chain of DIY store! I was mortified! Why OWW, why?!!!!

I'm far too highbrow to link David Beckham and the Daily Mail in one go but I must say he looks mighty fine in todays pictures - think its down to his haircut - and DH being away! Smile

FritziGreenEyes · 29/03/2011 16:11

bloss I can see what you mean.... I have never worn a bikini with confidence in my life and it will probably never happen as I am getting nearer forty.

ollie and annie Thanks for the support and advice re nits. I have checked DD and haven't found anything but I stripped the whole house of all fabrics, sprayed any soft furnishings and will treat both me and DD with shampoo/spray thingy and comb tonight just to be on the safe side, phew. I think a glass of wine will be in order tonight.

AllBuggiedOut · 29/03/2011 16:41

Oh oww I can see why you were mortified - that's the kind of thing I would do too. But it is quite funny... Grin

Can somebody please find me the decent quality version of these Asos biker skinnies? I like the colour, fit and stitching detail that breaks up the expanses that are my thighs. But these ones are crap and don't keep their shape. Am wondering if these might be a contender? But not as keen on the stitching pattern...

AllBuggiedOut · 29/03/2011 16:44

fritzi get a Nitty Gritty comb if you don't have one; much better than standard nit combs. Tedious though it is, physically removing the little buggers and their eggs is, IME, more effective than the chemical approach. Although I usually do both. And use a tea-tree shampoo, or add a little to a regular shampoo, as they don't like it apparently. Good luck!

loobylu3 · 29/03/2011 17:15

annie- I love the JCrew stuff too! It looks so wearable and much nearer to my type of budget range than anything I've seen on Nap before! I have a few things in my basket. Does anyone have a code? carciofi? :)

Off to Brownies now...

MarshaBrady · 29/03/2011 17:35

ABO I love those JCrew khaki ones, but can't see other ones... I think.

Everything next one I don't need dancing but champagne and standing yes!

Fritzi ds had nits when I was pg (fortunately only time so far) and wasn't sure re chemicals and found combing every day and loads of conditioner really worked.

notyummy · 29/03/2011 18:14

Hi all. Lovely day here today. Dd much better- she seemed so poorly yesterday that I kept her off school today and cancelled a trip to Zlondon and a series of meetings..and she has been fine all day Hmm. Back to school tomorrow. Hope DS is recovered Everything.

Agree J Crew stuff is nice.

OWW- I laughed at your mishap! That is the sort of thing I would do, so not exclusively blonde.

Fleecy- glad you enjoyed your break.

Bloss- very few girls of KM age have a figure like hers, so us ladies who are a decade older, have had children and, dare I say it, are unlikely to benefit from the time and personal attention of trainers etc are unlikely to be able to replicate the look! You look great - don't compare yourself to her (easier said than done, I admit!!)

I have bought 6 Week 6 Pack - thought I needed some more Jillian related suffering Grin.

AllBuggiedOut · 29/03/2011 18:27

I need to move on from Jillian's banish fat; I'm so bored with it I'm even considering getting the exercise bike out of the garage...

Sorry you can't see the Asos skinny bikers... They're not dissimilar to these but without the pockets.

I too feel a large J Crew order coming on Grin

FritziGreenEyes · 29/03/2011 20:01

Unfortunately my diagnosis was right but the good news is, I am nit-free! I am having a glass of red and Lindt chocolate eggs. Thanks for all the tips to help combat nits! Have taken avid notes and will just do it all!

everything Hope DS is better! Just thought of you when I put on yet another load of laundry

exhausted Commuting is a nightmare. I honestly couldn't do it anymore...

notyummy Glad to hear that DD is better. Can you undo your cancellation for London? Didn't you plan to take DD to a musical?

fleecy Your break sounds lovely. I miss the sea...

marsha Well done on completing your piece of work. When is DS1's birthday?

I wore my Boden denim shirt dress today with Breton and flats and it is great. Think I need another shirt dress in navy maybe. Will wait what bloss and portia have to say about the ones they have ordered. Will look at JCrew on NAP now.

blossoming · 29/03/2011 20:02

I really like 6 Pack. Can't wait to hear your view notyummy.

AntPants1 · 29/03/2011 20:18

Really selfish post from me I am afraid....

Have had dreadful weekend. DS hospitalised with gastroenteritis and also tonsilitus. Just hideous. He went from being a bit unwell to really sick in the space of an hour. We had actually popped into the hospital to see the out of hours GP but DS just got sicker and sicker so we ran to A+E but they do not have a paeds A+E at charing cross. The registrar said DS was really sick and that we should just get in the car and drive to next hospital which was only a mile or so away. But this being London we got stuck in traffic. Cue me leaving car with my totally out of it baby in my arms and running from the bottom of the kings road to Chelsea and Westminster hospital. Eventually all was fine. DS is now on the mend and this afternoon has had his first food since Saturday but was just so very scary. Am All shaken to be honest.

carciofi · 29/03/2011 20:25

Antspants, really sorry your DS has been so ill, glad he is on the mend.

Hope the other ill DC are getting better. We were at the GP this evening, DD has an ear infection.

Yes, DH is a good guy. :)

Looby, I have only ever seen NAP do free delivery, no other codes unfortunately. You could order from jcrew.com and set up a US address using myus.com.

MrsCB, thanks, I think I will get olive too. I was using the Gracie today, great bag! I also like the studded bag that I think you have.

Bloss, I like the sound of grey and white. By the way, I noticed two of my Splendid t-shirts now have holes in them so that's me done with expensive t-shirts!

Good haul, Annie.

ABO, how about these?

OllieWollieWoo · 29/03/2011 20:42

Oh Ants - you poor thing - my heart was in my mouth reading your post. What a traumatic thing to have to go through and its only natural you still feel shaken. Hope it helps sharing on here. Glad DS is getting better now. Sending you lots of luv and hugs x
