Hi there ladies!

OP posts:
notyummy · 29/03/2011 20:55

That sounds so scary Ants - how traumatic for you! So glad he is better.

Fritzi- Luckily I only cancelled a work trip today to London. The fun trip is not cancelled, and fingers crossed will not need to be.

Bloss- some ladies were talking about 'hard level spider planks' in 6W6P on a shred thread here, so obviously I had to google to see if I could do them. (The answer is 'yes, but not that many.'Grin) After that I thought I should take the plunge. DH will be like Hmm at another exercise DVD arriving- but I bet he won't be able to resist giving it a try!

blossoming · 29/03/2011 21:00

How awful for you ants. So glad things are better.

carciofi, my Splendid dress has a hole! Bad (expensive) purchase.

I bought these linen vests in glacier and cobalt today, to go with my shorts and as beach cover up.
I will need a cover up!

MarshaBrady · 29/03/2011 21:00

Ants you poor thing. So glad your ds is ok.

blossoming · 29/03/2011 21:07

I love the spider planks! It's like I can feely stomach muscles working. But the advanced ones with push ups??? I'm not there yet!

My favourite Biggest Loser us on. Bliss!!

notyummy · 29/03/2011 21:16

Yep- I am talking the hard core ones with press ups. I can do them, but collapse in a most undignified way after a few on each side!

Oh ants that sound terrifying. Hope you all get some time to rest and recover.

I love grey and white too!

blossoming · 29/03/2011 21:44

Where's fellow emerald lover zembo? Just saw this gorgeous dress from In Wear in Heat here.

moragbellingham · 29/03/2011 22:34

bloss-Yes, I think the johnnie b stuff is roughly a size 12, although sometimes it's a 10 depending on what it is. Pot luck alot of the time!

notyummy · 29/03/2011 22:38

What do we think to this skirt?

Am also eyeing up these shoes.

I kind of want to buy a long pleated chiffony skirt (which I realise the one above is not) but I am not sure whether pleats from the waist will make my hips and bottom look huge. I guess I just have to try some on. Have finally booked the personal shopping experience that DH got me for Xmas - couldn't find a date that both she and I could do until May, but at least it is in the diary!

mrsjuan · 29/03/2011 22:49

Oh gosh Ants - what a nightmare, so glad he's better now.
Sorry that you are dealing with the poo explosions now everything - definitely doing the rounds.
So sorry not to catch up with everyone else - don't seem to have enough hours in the day at the moment. Just rushing into say that my sister and niece Grin are home and well after their marathon birth experience! I will see them next weekend as am going away this weekend.
On that note, will sign out for a few days and catch up next week - mwah!

I like that green dress btw Bloss.

I may have to pop into Zara in Nottingham today - had planned to go to TS and Zara when in London yesterday for meeting - but as you know that didn't happen!

Overcast here but not too cold. In breton and black trousers for work - slightly boring but had a 'can't be bothered' moment and it seemed to fit the bill with little thought required....

pickledsiblings · 30/03/2011 09:01

So sorry to hear about all the poorly DC. Ants, you sound like you coped fantastically.

I'm loving the fitness chat Bloss and NY, and the mental images it conjures up Grin.

Carcofi, probably a good move to get the olive, I always tend to err on the side of 'conservative'.

MrsJ, have a great mini break in the sun Smile.

Fritzi, love the sound of your denim/breton combo.

roary · 30/03/2011 09:43

HI all
Been very busy doing my "Q$£()£$"£()* AUstralian visa application. How you could fake the stupid thing (ie, pretend to be a false marriage) I do not know, which is presumably why it is so difficult. Also officially back at work but is the middle of the vacation so it's quite quiet.

No ebaying till I am finished the visa app but I have plans!

NY Maxi skirts, hmmm? Branching out? Grin

Bloss I love that green dress.

Ants what a scary day. But on your Great Motherhood Sash of Badges you can add several: A&E Visit; Calm under Fire; Two Illnesses at Once. Just make sure they are sewn on properly or you will get demerits at inspection :)

anniemac - I like the boots but I'm not sure what you would wear them with. They would be too high to wear with jeans, and skirts would have to be quite short to show them off. I expect they would look good with leggings.

moragbellingham · 30/03/2011 10:09

Thanks all for the feedback - re Marlene.

not yummy have you seen these too? What is the TRF section in Zara anyway - is it teen stuff or just cheaperHmm

anniemac, I'm not sure those boots will have longevity, and I agree with dexter73, that they could be hard to wear. They have a slightly 'cavalier' look about them, or Robin Hood (sorry I get my history wrong, all the time!).
Love the cowl neck top.

It is tres miserable here today. Pouring with rain, and I'm turning the radiators up one by one.
The Boden white jersey top (like the Bloss top) arrived and is going straight back. The white looked dirty iykwim. Like something you'd get off a market stall. Saving £18 though. CC bill arrived. No I won't have paid it off this month!

Anyone think of a good title for the next thread?

Annie I nearly love those boots. I bet they are good quality, but the over the knee thing... am not sure. Hard to know without seeing on.

Fritzi Ds1s birthday is on Friday. I haven't done a thing. I like to home make quiche and chicken in breadcrumbs type stuff and have less than a day to do it! I am totally lax about games and stuff (have entertainer Wink) but want to do the food.

It shall happen....

Quick question - I just checked out at My Wardrobe having selected Paypal - the order just went through, I didn't have to log in to Paypal, is this right??
