Hi there ladies!

OP posts:
blossoming · 11/03/2011 12:34

Good point icanboogie. I'd forgotten about her, so just had a quick look. How I really can't stand her lace items, nor those louboutin loafers. Nor the prada t-shirt. Now I remember why I don't go there any more!

verity, good luck with the boys this afternoon!

Hope some virtual online shopping works for you bouncing.

blossoming · 11/03/2011 12:36

Nice dress annie, and unusual in their sea of sludge.

FritziGreenEyes · 11/03/2011 12:42

LTEC Mwah, lovely to see you back!!! Grin

Yay for DDs achievements bloss and mrsjuan! DD has been dressing herself for a few weeks now in the morning which is fantastic, but she is not my baby anymore. I can also relate to what you have said about your DS starting school ollie. DD will start in August.

I am already having a pre-meet-up crisis as I cannot decide on which shoes to wear. If the heel is too high I risk falling over after a glass of champagne but lower heels always make me look mumsy I think. Maybe I'll wear high heels and cling on to ollie for our way back Smile.

bb Poor you, hope the hot water bottle and online retail therapy helps. Sorry if I'm a bit slow, but have you namechanged or are you new?

verity Good luck for this afternoon. I wouldn't have a clue about what to entertain 12-year-old boys with...

emo Glad to hear that work is going ok.

vin Ouch, ouch, ouch! Hope you are not in pain anymore and bruising will fade quickly. You could try arnica too. Can you sort out childcare for DS so your job decision is not dependent on P? I also have that leopard scarf!

abo Good decision to send the dress back. You will find something much better!

blossoming · 11/03/2011 12:56

High heels fritzi, all the way!

Fritzi they are easy peasy really, they just want pizza and playstation Grin I've learned by bitter experience to allow one pizza each and twice as many chocolate biscuits as you think they could possibly eat. They also make a lot of noise so dd and I retreat and watch 'The Sound of Music' or similar!

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2011 13:43

MrsJuan thank you for tip re Lanvins. You are a star! I have no idea or no how about tkmaxx Grin but it's nice to know they are there. Might check out website.

Verity I love the MJ dress, and of course I love the colour!

Ltec nice to see you back.

Petitdonkey I wish NaP had been around when I got married, I had a hurried one hour in Browns Bride with my mother and had to get something quickly. Did get some Louboutin pale cream shoes which are still languishing in the wardrobe! And a really beautiful antique hair clasp - also languishing.

Fritzi go with the high heels, someone will prop you up Grin

petitdonkey · 11/03/2011 14:00

Marsha - I hadn't imagined being rushed, that said, I didn't love my dress anyway so maybe would have been better buying online!! I just can't imagine spending £9000 without some major fawning over me!!

Loving some of the stripy dresses. I hate getting my legs out in summer - they are pale and, without magical opaques, not super slim. How do I get them shiny and even-toned in the manner of slebs???

Annie love both striped dresses and the channel nail polish you linked to. For those of you with a tighter budget bourgeoisie does a great orange and I have just bought a great purple/ pink polish from rimmel. Dries in 60 seconds! Will see if I can find links...lovely sunny day here...

annie Love the stripey dress!

Babysitter is coming tonight and I have 90 minutes before the shops close. Will buy vertiginous heels and need two people to escort me down steps at MOAMU Grin Might also buy some new nailpolish to paint my toenails for 108 sun salutation marathon for charity tomorrow. I'll probably faint after 25...

petitdonkey Shredding, exfoliating and self-tan moisturizer?

Zembo · 11/03/2011 14:26

Verity you have great taste, that dress is gorgeous. Don't know how you haven't gone in and at least tried it on

Carciofi I definitely prefer the AH bag. I think the pleated leather gives it quite a vintage look - I reckon you'd love it for years.

LTEC never thought I'd see you on here again, such a lovely surprise. Also great purchases esp the glads.

Bloss well done to your DD. I still need to get my 2.2yr old DS off his bottle Blush - sounds like I'm the opposite of you there, i.e. trying to cling on to his baby ways (even though he's a big toddler now). Must get a grip Smile

AntPants1 · 11/03/2011 14:31

This is the orangey nail polish from bourjois

www.bourjois.co.uk/catalog/make_up/nails/colour/so_laque_ultra_shine_nail_enamel

This is the Rimmel one

www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4514932.htm am wearing it with blue stripy bretton.....

blossoming · 11/03/2011 14:34

zembo, I feel terrible but in a fit of pique I just told my mum, who has my nephew today, that I'm sick to death of the baby stage. I'm missing a gene somewhere Sad.

Zembo · 11/03/2011 14:54

Nothing wrong with that Bloss the baby stage isn't for everyone (including me to be honest) and it just sounds like you're definitely ready to skip on to the next stage of life. I still don't feel ready to leave nappies, bottles and baby/small child related paraphernalia behind (wish I did!). My poor DH puts up with it all, but was actually happy to leave it all behind a decade and a half ago Blush

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2011 15:06

petit oh yes I would expect it delivered by white-gloved chauffeur or something... with a free bottle of vintage champagne Wink (but the dress is a bit bleurgh anyway Grin)

fritzi I'm more of a lurker really but popped in a few times a couple of threads ago for breton, skinnies and ditching nursing bras advice.

Feeling a bit less sorry for myself now after dashing out to buy the dc's a sandpit. ds1 is now ecstatically happy playing away in the molded plastic monstrosity. (not very S&B sorry - but 4 year old boys rarely are!)

Love the Fuschia & Fast nail colour antpants, which reminds me, must embark on Operation Spring/Summer Pretty Feet very soon.

bouncingblueberries · 11/03/2011 15:31

I've fallen in love with this bag which was linked to on another thread. Do you think it would make a good 'going back to work' bag?

I work for an ad agency anniemac - maybe I need something funkier...just love the calf skin though!

AllBuggiedOut · 11/03/2011 16:12

bouncing LOVEMUM gives £15 off at Peony & Moore at the moment.

carciofi · 11/03/2011 16:49

MrsJuan, thanks, he just spoke without thinking. He came home early last night and bought me a Thai takeaway, I think he felt bad! I love DKNY, I used to buy it a bit in New York as it is more reasonable there but they do have good sales here. You got some nice bargains yesterday. You could order the Paige jeans from Shopbop or Revolve, I just got the customs charge for my Houlihans, it was £22 and the jeans were about £75 so much cheaper than here.

Annie, if you are still eyeing up the Reiss suit or bag, there is 10% off until this evening with the code spring11.

The Gracie it is, better keep saving.

Bouncing, I like the bag.

Fritzi, you need two glasses of champagne, for balance. A bird with one wing can't fly. Grin

Wow, I can't imagine spending £9000 on something without actually seeing it. I don't like the dress either. I was really lucky with my wedding dress, my friend was working for English Eccentrics at the time and I got it for £300, it was a sample. I am keeping it for DD, it is an evening dress, not a wedding dress so no pressure!

I was too nervous to enjoy the baby stage with DD, hopefully I will be more chilled this time.
