Hi there ladies!

OP posts:
MrsCampbellBlack · 11/03/2011 18:21

Oh Bloss you would be so proud of me - have ebayed for first time and made over £80 so far Halo All going in my Gracie fund Wink

AntPants1 · 11/03/2011 19:21

carciofi. I found it much easier and much more enjoyable second time round.

bouncing love the bag. I bought a doeskin bag from Hobbs 5 years ago. Was the most I have ever spent on a bag. About £175 if I remember correctly. I had it sitting on my chest of drawers for ages before I dared use it! Anyway it was one of my best ever buys. My family call it my cow bag for obvious reasons and I still get comments every time I use it. I am having to ration how often I use it as it os beginning to look a bit tired. It will be a sad day when cow bag goes........

AntPants1 · 11/03/2011 19:22

Cow skin. Not doe skin. iPad spell check.....

blossoming · 11/03/2011 19:47

mrscb, that is fantastic! I bet you have great stuff. My JC boot purchaser just paid too. Woo hoo!

MrsCampbellBlack · 11/03/2011 20:04

I even bought the plastic bags from the PO today as recommended by you Smile

And rather excited to discover that my-wardrobe accepts paypal.

blossoming · 11/03/2011 20:29

And lkbennett and figleaves mrscb!

Fleecy · 11/03/2011 21:41

LOL at 'cowbag' Smile

Nice to see you LTEC and MrsCB

bouncing do you mind if I ask what you do? I'm a freelance copywriter for various ad agencies but up here in Norwich, no London work.

bloss I think we all have our moments of frustration, please don't feel bad.

marsha any luck with pink belts yet?

abo I know I'm a bit late but just wanted to say how Envy I am of your amazing figure! If I were you I'd live in fitted dresses, all day every day Grin

carciofi amazing J Brand bargain

mrsj have you found your MOAMU dress now?

DolceeBanana · 11/03/2011 21:55

Hello girls. Haven't had much of a chance to post but wanted to say hi!

Awful news about Japan.

Oh Bloss - glad your moment of panic was quickly relieved (!)...I had an experience like that recently...felt much the same as you so sympathise completely.

Not much S and B here as rather busy. Trying.To.Find.House. Oh well, did view a gorgeous rental property a couple of days ago. Lovely Farmhouse, which may have to stand me in stead whilst property market in doldrums. Dh convinced a waiting policy is right approach. Not much chance of doing otherwise in current climate. Anyway, enough of my moaning....

Zembo - love that trench - you are so teeny! Size 4!!!! Fab colour.

Fleecy - hope you are well, you sound fine and dandy...and Carciofi...such an exciting time....Smile

blossoming · 11/03/2011 22:28

Hi fleecy, looking forward to seeing you next week!

dolcee, are you coming? We often like the same styles, I'd love to meet you. I really hope you find something soon.

Morning everyone, I love these light mornings - so much easier to get up. Have been watching the news about Japan - so shocking Sad

Everything sounds stressful - hope your chilled out weekend does the trick - DD had a very whingy week last week - nothing was right for her and it was very wearing.

Bloss - eek! that must have been a nerve wracking trip - did you wait until you got home to do the test? I think I would have had to have found somewhere to do it en route Grin. I'm with you on the baby stage. I didn't enjoy it and would much rather be pregnant for 2 years and give birth to a fully formed toddler Grin

Carciofi Good tip on getting the jeans from Revolve - will investigate. Do you know, until you said I hadn't realised that most of the things I bought the other day were reduced. I seem pathologically unable to buy anything at full price.

Hope you all have a happy Saturday. 1 week today ladies....
and no, I still haven't decided what I'm wearing Confused

OllieWollieWoo · 12/03/2011 07:26

Morning.
Everything - agree with everything exhausted said re your Mum. Mine has a thing about 'chores' and can't believe that people (ie me) can leave the house to do other things if the 'chores' have not been done! Shut the doors of the rooms which need sorting and enjoy the day with DS. Any chance you an have a nap when he does to help catch up on your sleep? Whats your haircut like?
Exhausted - I used to love shopping after work when I lived in London. You should def arrange it.

LTEC - so, so lovely to see you on here again! Loved the ASH boots and FC tee.

My SIL (the nice one!) is coming over today so we can go shopping together and have lunch. We have v different tastes but she is nice company. Feel a bit guilty about leaving DH with DSs all day - and again next week when I am in London - but he is in Paris for 3 days this week which helps ease my guilt a bit!

Still not found anything on the GAP website for me (25% code to use). Saw this top here which may look ok with white jeans - but not sure if I like it cos of the code iykwim?!

FritziGreenEyes · 12/03/2011 07:45

Just running in to say: I bought platform heels yesterday!

Will catch up on posts and links when I'm at hairdresser's later.

Have good Saturdays everyone!

AntPants1 · 12/03/2011 07:47

ollie not keen on gap t I am afraid. I do not think it looks good on the model so heaven help us civilians!

AntPants1 · 12/03/2011 07:54

Am feeling meh. Was out at friends birthday until 1am and then DS woke up at 6. Not enough sleep. Not hungover ass such. Had 3 glasses of wine over whole evening (yet to get my drinking stamina back after DCs) but feeling very seedy......

aurorastargazer · 12/03/2011 07:55

can someone please tell me what MOAMU means?Grin

carciofi · 12/03/2011 08:39

Aurora, MOAMU is mother of all meet ups!

MrsJuan, why pay more? (Isn't that an ad? Smile)

Everything, hope you and DS get to relax. I like the Joules trousers. I have never bought anything from there, what are they like? I like this top.

Ollie, that top is a good basic but will probably go on sale next week. I read on another that there is a 30% discount.

DD went through a phase of waking at 5.30/6, I found that worse than getting up during the night with her as a baby. Supersize coffee Brew
for the early risers.

Fritzi, the platform shoes sound cool.

Exhausted, I haven't got the Houlihans yet, just paid the customs charge yesterday so they should be delivered in the next few days. I tried them on last summer and liked them but returned them as I think I wanted to buy something else at the time. I will have to wait another few months to wear them.

I used to love shopping after work, those days are done now!

15% off at American Apparel until 16/3 with the code MAKEOVERUK.

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2011 08:41

Me too Fritzi, hair highlighted today. (trying to look good for next week!)

Fleecy not yet and I am not sure it goes with pink The red is an orangey red and pink doesn't really look right. I might have to wing it with a Vanessa Bruno mustard one I already have. I hope it doesn't offend the eyes too much!

Hi MrsJ, Dolce and everything!

exhausted ah 5.30 too early. Even worse when they know it's the weekend and wake up earlier! (although I lamented 7 rather than 8 today)

Ollie have fun shopping

We had to get a dress in a two week window and had no idea there were waiting lists to do sessions in the nicer shops. We were lucky to get one really. But off the peg and not exactly right, but luckily the veil thing was gorgeous.

carciofi · 12/03/2011 08:47

Dolcee good luck with the house hunting.

OWW, that Gap code is UKGAP30.

I wanted to wear a veil but it didn't go with the dress. I'm picturing you as a modern day Grace Kelly, Marsha.

OllieWollieWoo · 12/03/2011 08:54

I have a (whispers) hooded top from Joules and DH has a shirt and both are v good quality. Their customer service is v good too.
Yey for platforms Fritzi - I am hoping there is limiting walking involved at MOAMU tho - my shoe boots are not especially high but I have never got on in heels - I either totter on the balls of my feet taking tiny steps like Charlotte from SITC or walk with bent knees - most unbecoming!

Good point on the GAP top Ants - think I will wait and try on next week - esp if its the sale Carciofi!

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2011 08:55

I might put a picture up before moamu so in reality I do not clash so wildly with all your lovely images of me. Grin I have wanted to for a while but I keep looking at them and thinking bleurgh!

FritziGreenEyes · 12/03/2011 09:06

carciofi Just passed a flowershop with lovely daffodils and thought of you and your Mum... Hope you are ok.

carciofi · 12/03/2011 09:11

Fritzi, you're so thoughtful. I am fine, thank you. Enjoy your appointment.

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2011 09:14

Sorry my last post was very 'me'. Hope you are ok Carciofi too.
