zembo- just read your last post. 6 wks is standard for a laparotomy. It is really hard being told that you need to rest when you have little children who need you and there is no one else! Do you have any family who can help with your boys?
Did you need a transfusion? I imagine you must be v anaemic.
I think if you are told that you might not be able to have something you automatically want it even more. Don't despair and think that you definitely won't be able to have another child because the chances are still good- even if it is IVF. You just need to try to rest and eat really well/ take iron if necessary, etc at the moment.

NY- congratulations- you must have done so well at the interviews- go girl!

macmama · 03/02/2011 10:43

Jil Sander collection arrived at Uniqlo today.

this is the jacket I thought was nice.

florenceuk · 03/02/2011 10:46

Don't John Lewis sell special moth deterrents and moth killing devices as well - I think the brand name is Bouchard, and the woman assured me they were more effective than more "natural" methods.

Zembo sounds extremely painful - I hope all will be OK.

Zembo · 03/02/2011 11:22

looby yes by Hb dropped to 3.5 during the op yesterday so I had four units of blood and 2 x FFP. Also my GP did miss the ectopic. She did ask me if there was any chance I could be pregnant and I said no (as I was really sure I wasn't as thought I was having heavy periods). Seriously feeling lucky to be alive today. Being vain I'm thinking a lot about how to fix my chipped front tooth - should be seeing someone from max fax team later. I haven't got any family nearby but they have offered to drive down and collect kids. I'm sure I'll take their offer up in some way.

At least I should be able to keep up with links now Smile. Must get dh to bring my credit cards in!

Congrats to NY - you clever girl.

FritziGreenEyes · 03/02/2011 11:28

Oh Zembo you poor thing... Hope the morphine is doing its job now and you get plenty of rest.

MarshaBrady · 03/02/2011 11:34

Thanks folks will look into moth stuff. Great help.

Loads of Belstaff boots on The Outnet right now.

TheAllNewOoooh · 03/02/2011 11:48

Thanks Marsha I've just ordered some Trialmasters in brown. They will go quickly at that price.

MarshaBrady · 03/02/2011 11:50

ooh fabulous!! So pleased!! Lots and lots on there, but yes good to be quick.

Feelingsensitive · 03/02/2011 12:52

macmama - Love that jacket. Particularly in the stone colour. Right-O. I am off suit shopping with my two year old in tow Hmm. I am hoping he will sleep so I can sneak a coffee in as well. I have researched online and have it narrowed down to Oasis. I wont be able to browse so I have to be targeted in my approach. I hope this goes well I am soooo out of practice at buying anything let alone work clothes .......

PlumSykes · 03/02/2011 12:53

Breton fans, I meant to link to these yesterday. I looked at them instore, and they are lovely thick organic cotton, and quite long. Didn't have my size, or would have bought a couple at that price.

mrsjuan · 03/02/2011 13:01

They're lovely plum - have you ordered them now? Would it be bad of me to order 3?

Oooh - well done on the Belstaffs - did you get the low heeled ones? I'd love some of them but they've all gone now - hey ho.

Zembo - Thank goodness you got taken to hospital when you did. I really hope you have a speedy recovery - we will try to keep you entertained with lots of lovely links so that you're not tempted to get out of bed too quickly. Hope your tooth gets sorted too. I think reine is our resident expert in that arena?

Good luck shopping feeling

blossoming · 03/02/2011 13:12

zembo, what an ordeal. But it's over now, just take time out to heal. I second the Kindle idea, or I've read One Day and am reading My Last Duchess from the bestseller lists recently. Good time to be laid up with all the new magazines surfacing! We're all thinking about you! Get well soon!!

I'm preparing for my interview, and trying to plan a lesson, whilst really being too excited about going to Cardiff tomorrow (in the rain, sadly) to think straight!
Back later.

PlumSykes · 03/02/2011 13:16

No rain here today, Bloss! Not forecast 'til Sun.

PlumSykes · 03/02/2011 13:17

MrsJ, I think I keep popping in- I hate paying £4 P&P for a £10 tee!

bunnymother · 03/02/2011 13:18

Zembo - I hope you are inundated with help so that you can properly recover. Your health really is the most important thing. After your looks Wink Wink Wink

Bloss - good luck w the interview!!

AllBuggiedOut · 03/02/2011 13:33

looby Look! Smile

Mumsnut · 03/02/2011 13:34

Oh Zembo! How scary and shocking. Wishing you a quick recovery, and lots of help as Bunny says.

carciofi · 03/02/2011 13:39

Zembo, so sorry to hear about your ectopic pregnancy. Take care.

Blossoming, good luck with the interview and enjoy Cardiff!

My friend was over from Dublin the last few days. It was so nice to see her. We have been friends since we were 2, almost 37 years now! We went to Richmond yesterday and saw lots of lovely things in Matches and Comptoir. I am going on a spree there in June. :) Really like this scarf but I have a red cashmere Lily and Lionel that is similar so didn't buy it.

Vin, sorry the estate agent is being such a pita.

For skinny jeans, J Brand, Paige and Current/
Elliott are my favourites.

blossoming · 03/02/2011 13:49

Hi carciofi. Lovely scarf. How long is your June list by now Wink? I've changed my mind about my interview outfit and I'm going to wear the Bloss top! Still looks good, although too big, contained by cardigan!

OP posts:
blossoming · 03/02/2011 13:52

plum, no rain you say? Me and DH got together because of the pouring rain 10 years ago - I couldn't get a taxi home, had to go back to his place. Yeah, yeah..Grin.

OP posts:
lackaDaisy · 03/02/2011 13:53

blossoming are you coming to Cardiff for the rugby? I'm a local...the weather isn't as bad at the moment. But it seems to be changing daily! For example, yesterday it was pissing it down but today it is absolutely glorious with just a nip in the air.

DH and I will be watching the rugby at home...I will be thinking of you Smile

PlumSykes · 03/02/2011 13:54

Classic Welsh Girl move, Bloss.! Grin

lackaDaisy · 03/02/2011 13:55

Plum snap, I'm a Cardiff lass too Grin

Fleecy · 03/02/2011 14:01

zembo so glad they found out in time and that you're doing well. You've been through so much lately Sad

bloss when is interview?

plum I think they did those Zara bretons last year - I have a red and white one and cake has navy and white I think? Mine has held it's shape well.

carciofi that is a lovely scarf.

All the Belstaffs have gone in a 39. Not a huge surprise!

bonsoir swooning over those pretty flats. Colour, ribbon, what's not to like? Smile

blossoming · 03/02/2011 14:01

Works every time plum Wink.

I hear they're closing the town centre from 2pm tomorrow, which means parking somewhere else and taking a taxi in. Just a word of warning plum, daisy, it'snotunusual.

I cannot wait. And have nurofen plus for the hangover pain of losing!
