I'm at swim class with DD and her friend. The lesson is only 40 minutes and so far I had to take them to the toilet four times. Plus DD is panicking and clinging to the swim instructor abd I can hear her crying for Mummy. Oh dear... Think I need a strong coffee after this.

MrsJuan I have a bit of a mixed bag of Belstaffs. Went for the flat brown but they only had it in a 36 which I am occasionally but not often. Ordered the mid-heel in 37 as a second choice but they are perforated which I'm not entirely convinced about - we shall see! And I have another package in the post now to feed the habit .

I've just been in Whistles and tried on a lively floaty dress - navy blue with bows printed on it. Veh nice and am thinking on it.

I also tried on some navy tweed(?) shorts with studs which looked great but at £135 were a bit too spiny for me. Also think they ate possibly muttonous although I would wear them with opaques of course.

Does anyone else do the shorts + tights thing at 34?

oooh I do shorts/tights and am 38 1/2. Bonsoir does it at 40. In fact I love shorts.

Roman did you link to that the other night? Someone did and even though I had had a terrible day I ended up crying with laughter over it. I had better not start looking at it at work or I will never get anything done (but have just forwarded it to my assistant).

A friend sent me a pic of myself in shorts (from when I was 37.11) about 5 mins ago, so have put it on my profile to prove my disregard for age - they are v.short, and no tights!

Your legs go all the way up to your armpits Roman! If I were you I would wear shorts the whole time . And I bet Bonsoir looks good in anything.

Marsha those shorts will be amazing with a tan. Spiny though. I think with shorts because there's so little fabric I can never get my head around how much is charged for them. Surely they should be half the price of trousers?!?

I am tempted. They looked good. Shall I embrace tweed in winter or find some denim ones for spring do you think?

ooh I wear shorts (with tights in winter, light fake tan in summer) and I'm 33. My legs aren't at all bad but if they were as good as roman's I'd live in shorts and bare legs, whatever the weather

I would go for non-denim but I never wear it so someone else might prefer denim.
