Pop, fizz, ahhhh -the sound of my long awaited Friday night bubbles after a week of not drinking! Chin, chin everyone! Wine

mrsjuan · 11/02/2011 19:50

That's a lovely blouse carciofi.

My h&m (sneakily ordered during parents' evening) order arrived today:

shorts and top om page 2 for summer - perfect (although glad I sized up in the shorts)

stripy jumper on page 2 in both colours okay - need to try on with some different trousers

and another jumper that I can't be bothered to link to!

Rip - length on bird dress (yes am fellow shortie) was quite short but not indecent on me. I'm going back tomorrow whilst DH takes DD to the park to have a better examination. I will update you!

Am so excited. My friend and I have almost booked a short break in Majorca for us and DD in April. Just have to check flight times but assuming they are suitable we should be getting a bit of sun in a couple of months time - wooohooo! DH is a peculiar heat avoiding creature so our holidays are usually either snowy or rainy. I really hope it comes off.

MarshaBrady · 11/02/2011 19:57

How exciting MrsJ! Smile

I really need, ie not merely want Wink, shoes and a small bag. I'm not sure if small bags ever really look that good but I can't bear extra weight. Spend my life avoiding prams, heavy bags and too much shopping.

Ollie how is the house situation going?

NY your poor dd. Hope you are all ok...

Roary any more thoughts on limbo-land and move?

questions questions...

(dh is putting ds to sleep am off the hook!)

traceybath · 11/02/2011 19:59

MrsJ - thats the stripey top I bought today in h&m - the one with the shorts - its lovely!

OWW - meant to say - house sounds fab!

mrsjuan · 11/02/2011 20:01

Stripy jumpers on pg 3, not 2. Page 2 ones too cbeebies presenter for me!

What sort of shoes Marsha?

mrsjuan · 11/02/2011 20:04

It's great isn't it Tracey - shorts are lovely too & I got them half price Smile

Ooh yes - OWW - house sounds so exciting! Let us know what you decide.

MarshaBrady · 11/02/2011 20:07

Flat ballerinas. Lanvin possibly! But I am so used to paying less than half price for things it will take a good couple of weeks to get round to ordering Grin. But alas they are selling quickly so I can't dither too long.

And hmmm some wedge things for summer. That can wait a bit.

Maybe the Lottas if I can bear my feet! I cannot even do peep toe shoes. (phobias, I have realised I have a foot phobia to go with the bird ones. Not baby feet they are cute. After the age of hmmm 11?)

It is a tricky thing, I don't want to wear boots anymore, but ballet flats are very summery. There is a big gap in el market for someone to do something we can wear right now.

mrsjuan · 11/02/2011 20:09

but look at the pretty box

mrsjuan · 11/02/2011 20:10
Grin
OllieWollieWoo · 11/02/2011 20:11

(Ssssh - in the middle of deep and meaningful discussion re house - wine is helping!!!)

MarshaBrady · 11/02/2011 20:12

Oh look at the box!

No really it's a lovely box Grin

Maybe I will try them out.......

Ollllllliiiieee good luck!!!! shhhhhhhh

pickledsiblings · 11/02/2011 20:23

NY, poor DD. It must be so worrying for you all. I hope she gets better quickly.

Tracey and Mrs J, I have that stripey jumper (same fine knit) but mine has a crew neck and dropped shoulders. I love it.

Marsha, I thought you were after some Blocs from Anna.

Roary, sorry about limbo- land, never a great place to be. Hope things get resolved quickly.

MrsJ your holiday plans sound lovely Smile.

pickledsiblings · 11/02/2011 20:26

OWW, fingers crossed for you Wink.

MarshaBrady · 11/02/2011 20:26

Pickled I ordered some over ages ago and they haven't turned up. I rang yesterday, they are supposed to ring back

I'm a bit pfft about it all now.

Slack really!

pickledsiblings · 11/02/2011 20:31

I hate when that happens Marsha, you just want to move on, don't you.

Anything here?

pickledsiblings · 11/02/2011 20:32

Off for a Brew, no fizz for me.

Hi all
Oh NY - my friend growing up had a collapsed lung, it is very painful and miserable. Poor little yummy.

No real news from Limbo-land. I think it is quite likely we'll go, feeling mixed about it as always. As Bonsoir pointed out yesterday, Perth is v v far away from the rest of the world, and lacks the cosmpolitan buzz of a big city (although has it in parts). That said we are stretched like mad with DH's hours here and they'd be so much better there, which is a major plus point.

Carciofi my gap cargos were slightly different but they are slightly cropped, hit me at the ankle bone (I'm 5'9).

DTI10 · 11/02/2011 21:33

hi all,

mrsjuan - love all the Warehouse links. I am trying to decide on Orange cowl neck dress, stripey dress or stripey maxi, plus the cargo trousers.

MarshaB - I ordered Blochs from Anna in the Sale and they all arrived within a day, thought that was good service. You should ring them, very helpful.

everything - how was the house move? All settled in now?

vin - I have not been in Reiss lately but thinking about the Shola bandage dress in Cream or Navy.

ny - so sorry your little one is unwell. Wishing her a speedy recovery and you some rest. How awful for you all.

zembo - how are you doing?

MarshaBrady · 11/02/2011 21:37

Really DT wow! I will ring again tomorrow.

Roary, wow.

Everything how are things? Smile

KILDARE4 · 11/02/2011 21:43

OWW Hope house negotiations with DH go wellSmile It's funny isn't it how you just get a good feeling in some houses, that it's right, and in others you just want to run out.

NY Hope DD is starting to feel better and that you look after yourself.

Love the links to the Breton tops must get one soon Smile

I live close to an AH outlet and will check out what they have at the mo, the links are fab, I don't think they have anything that I wouldn't fancey.

Mrs J how lovely to have something nice to look forward to.

DTI10 · 11/02/2011 21:44

yes MarshaB - what branch of Anna did you purchase from? Which ones too? (nosey). Sorry that they have not arrived but I am surprised as usually quick.

VerityBrulee · 11/02/2011 21:48

All these threads on the Big Hair are driving me nuts! Saw one in Boots today, they have been sold out everywhere, and I was so tempted, but I don't really think I need one. I have really think, very slightly wavy hair I don't really want any more volume. It's just the curiosoity that's getting to me. I am a marketeers dream

Now the Maybelline marketing team scored today. Couldn't resist after seeing Christy Turlington advertising it. The Eraser foundation is actually v v like my By Terry, It comes in 2 pale shades one yellowy and the other pinky, just like BT, simialr soverage and feels v sikly on skin. Considering it's about a quarter of the price I'm quite pleased!

NY so sorry about dd. We used to spend longish periods in hospital with ds1 when he was little, it was torture, no sleep and no possibility of sleep. I hope these meds work for her and she is home soon. Awful to think of her being in pain Sad

OWW fingers crossed about the house, it sounds beautiful.

Anniemac I hope the hairdresser made it all better for you. I had the worst haircut of my life a few days before the Trinity Ball, which was a big, big deal. Carciofi might remember me as I was the only girl at the ball that year wearing a hat. God I feel a little weak just thinking aboout it, I was sooo upset!

Marsha Lanvin ballerinas are undoubtedly the prettiest around. I would definately be swayed by that box (see above)

MarshaBrady · 11/02/2011 21:49

I've checked the email and it says Burnham and they were the Contessa pumps. Silver metallic ones on sale.

I should check it out because I just showed dh the Lanvin ones and he said how much?!! (not that he gets a say really, my account Wink but hey he has a point Grin)

DTI10 · 11/02/2011 21:53

MarshaB Burnham Market. I got mine from Saffron Walden but one pair was sent from Burnham as not in stock. Contessa were sold out in my size, lovely though.

Has anyone got the Boden gladiators? I am thinking about the leopard print......
