I've just ordered one!! £35 from Amazon, it was sold out in my local Argos so I'll have to wait until after Xmas to get it. Can't wait as my hair is wavy and frizzy and serums just make me look like a chip pan head.

dietcokesholidaysarecoming · 20/12/2010 10:08

I love it- still getting used to it but becoming more confident!

TomYumSoup · 20/12/2010 14:58

Am absolutely gutted. Bought one even though I had just spent my hair budget on Friday with a cut & colour & have just tried it out thinking your hair can never look too good. Has turned my nice hair into a flyaway frizz bomb. My hair is a layered shoulder length cut & I was hoping for a bit off oomph on the crown however it's now flat but flyaway. I will keep working at it though.Hmm

Pannacotta · 20/12/2010 16:36

I like the look of this but dont want to spend £40+ on it in case it doesnt work.
Does anyone know where I can get it for less? The Amazon price is £40 now and JL is £45....

HowsTheSerenity · 21/12/2010 10:39

It arrived it arrived!!!!!!

After watching the you tube videos I gave it a go on my own hair. This is the best thing I have ever ever bought.
Thank you mumsnet!!

Oh and I have really thick, really wavy/curly, dry frizzy layered shoulder length hair and it works wonders. Definately need to be damp hair though.

nappydaysagain · 21/12/2010 14:19

Got mine in Sainsburys yesterday for the bargain price of £29.99 Smile Smile. They were showing as £45 on the website so couldn't believe it when in store they were less.

Am very impressed. Off to fetch my children from school and not going to wear my hat so I can swish my lovely, bouncy locks.

(minus 5 outside so will save the hair swishing to in the house).

BettyCash · 21/12/2010 15:25

Best thing since sliced bread!

AitchTwoOh · 21/12/2010 23:16

tomyum i wonder if you are using the brush in the the wrong direction? it sends my hair a bit wacky if i do it over rather than under, iykwim?

WilfShelf · 21/12/2010 23:53

pannacotta, 26/12/10: £12.99, I guarantee it Wink

Or many, unopened boxes, on ebay, also on Boxing Day.

That's what I'm banking on, anyhow.

Pannacotta · 22/12/2010 09:48

WIlf I had come to that conclusion too, will be checking out eBay and everywhere else on Boxing day!

TomYumSoup · 22/12/2010 11:10

Aitch, was using in right direction but still trying. Just tried on freshly washed hair & it looks smooth & shiny but flat. I am still struggling with getting any oomph on top which was what I was after. At the mo am using Paul Mitchell Super Sculpt which is what I normally swear by but will try to get the Toni & Guy root boost or similar.

AitchTwoOh · 22/12/2010 12:01

i hate toni and guy stuff, as detailed below. trev sorbie quite good, and £2 off in boots (if you do that complicated buy a fiver's worth of other stuff that you need, then get the token THEN hand over hair product)

salvadory · 22/12/2010 19:52

love this despite it costing £44.99 in Boots, better than my GHDs, quicker and with a much more oomphy effect, i like a LOT!
I blow dry my hair (which is naturally wavy, fine but lots of it and a bugger to blow dry myself) to 90% dry then finish with this wonder product. Cannot recommend highly enough. However it doesnt do anything wondrous to my hair unless it is freshly washed, which is much more likely to happen now I can dry it with this.

Zembo · 22/12/2010 19:54

Hmmmm, I've had one for about a week. It's okay but not doing the amazing things that I'd hoped for/ heard about. I've got longish, medium thickness straight hair. I'm not using it with any products, can anyone recommend anything?

salvadory · 22/12/2010 20:01

Zembo I dont think people with straight hair will see much of a benefit with this as youre lucky to always have good hair. Where it comes into its own is for people like me (with neither straight nor curly hair) who are rubbish at blowdrying a kink out and heavily dependent on straighteners to tame their manes, Id love to have wash and go hair but alas if I did wash and go my hair would look like monicas in the episode in friends where they go to barbados or somewhere with high humidity!

nutcrackerneepsntinseltatties · 26/12/2010 22:56

Anyone found a boxing day bargain?'

Rubena · 27/12/2010 14:46

I've had mine for about a week or so. It's a FABULOUS product (and I'm a sucker for buying hair appliances that are crap but this is fantastic) However, I only used it twice and it broke (possibly my fault not sure) I have looked at the Argos website and not a chance in hell I can find one in stock anywhere Sad DH is currently pulling it apart to see if he can fix it! failing that, I will have to use the warranty and I will def get another when they are back in stock.

alemci · 27/12/2010 17:50

i am confused about the price. showing on Amazon for about £65. I noticed on the John lewis site it was £45. i know it had been 35 at some point.

are there various models and do you need the one which rotates?

jewelsforxmasplease · 27/12/2010 17:57

I think the argos price may have risen as I paid £44 last week for mine. Amazon price is inflated as it's a market place and of high demand, but as far as I can tell there is just the one big hair, and it's lovely!!!

nutcrackerneepsntinseltatties · 27/12/2010 18:43

It seems to be out of stock everywhere I have tried so far.

colie · 27/12/2010 19:28

I can't believe it has went up so much on amazon. I am sure last sunday 20th it was selling for £35. I was then side tracked and time I got back to looking again the next day it had went up to £40 on amazon, then by 26th Dec it was £45 and now up at £65 on amazon.

Demand must be absolutely huge. Nowhere else has it in stock. I am praying that asda will get it back in at £35 again or maybe I am just deluding myself Confused

TheNextMrsClaus · 27/12/2010 23:21

Well, reporting back now I have finally managed to try my new gadget (had to wait until Boxing Day, as it was wrapped and put under the tree by the dcs - wow - what a surprise!).

It's fab! I had no trouble with the ends of my hair, and ended up with lovely swishy glossy locks, but it wasn't quite so easy on the roots, and I got into a bit of a tangle a couple of times. Because I reverse my hand when I dry the two sides of my hair, I have to remember to reverse the spin direction as well (iyswim) or it goes the wrong way! But it gave my fine hair lots of body, and I'm sure it'll get easier with practice.

Btw - Akemci - there's only one model and it rotates. I'm amazed at the high pice, but I'm sure it will come down as re-stocks hit the shops.

hopingforfour · 28/12/2010 02:18

Going crazy over here! Can't find any in stock anywhere, and if they ever do come back in how the heck am I going to get one to the US? I don't think most websites are set up to receive US dollars or ship here. I think I am going to have to go to desperate measures...

Sad Envy
FaffTastic · 28/12/2010 02:59

hopingforfour - can you try ebay? Am sure most sellers would ship to the US.

Then maybe use an adaptor plug if you need to?

hopingforfour · 28/12/2010 04:12

I haven't found any on ebay, but am only using ebay phone app. Maybe it doesn't work as well?? I am so ignorant! I had no idea that I would have to use a plug adapter? They aren't the same over there? Where would I have to get an adapter?
