Stamp. I've given up. Done enough. I'm on the wine.

notyummy, what will we do with the shred shirkers??

LetThemEatCake · 01/12/2010 22:19

hope tomorrow is massive success bloss!

news from me - Warehouse swallow print blouse back from dry cleaners with note saying that further attempts to remove stains would likely damage the fabric.

I've had it less than 2 weeks Blush

So glad someone else started the thread. I'd hate to have to think of a title - thanks cake

roma I meant the coat but now you mention it, I love it all Grin Explained to DH that yes, good winter coats are expensive but it's worth it if you wear it to work from home over a number of winters and truly get your money's worth. He pointed out this wouldn't apply to a Burberry trench. Dammit!

notyummy · 01/12/2010 22:21

Stamp. Thanks LTEC.

Blossoming - I am thinking of posting a series of hideous links (think Per Una's least finest moments...) disguised as stunning designer finds and potential new 'Janice's' until they get with the programme.

Harsh but fair, I say!

Wadda ya think?

Fleecy · 01/12/2010 22:21

Oh no! What a shame!

DirtyMartini · 01/12/2010 22:25

Fleecy · 01/12/2010 22:37

reallygrumpy · 01/12/2010 22:51

notyummy that skirt is minging, what I'm really curious about is what kind of person buys a skirt like that? Oh and can you send some of your snow our way? DD wants to build a snowcat and I want a good reason to work from home again tomorrow.

reallygrumpy · 01/12/2010 22:54

Oh and sorry about your blouse LTEC how annoying!

VerityBrulee · 01/12/2010 23:01

Fantastic thread title cakey

We have been snowed in since Saturday, I am desperate to get to a shop, any shop, even just a newsagent! We are all just so bored, I have filled the freezer with casseroles, baked many batches of fairy cakes to keep dd entertained, played every board game we possess, and read many, many stories. All interspersed with dvds. Just heard this evening that this will go on until next Wednesday Shock Dh still able to walk to work, office is only down the road, but I have cabin fever deluxe. I have had to hide credit cards from myself in order to prevent a NAP spree

Bunny dc and I all oohed and aahed over your lovely family, thanks for linking to your blog, you really cheered us up Smile

Zembo I love the coat, I have a similar one in navy from last year, I feel very polished when I wear it!

Marsha thank heavens you were rescued, I HATE icey paths, they make me feel so vulnerable.

Bloss hope you have a sell out tomorrow and Carciofi good luck with the scan Smile

Funny you were talking about Mad Men the other day, dh and I have just started watching it from the beginning. I had only caught occasional episodes before, I was a bit lukewarm about it in the beginning, all that smoking and blatent misogyny Shock but I am really enjoying it now. Don Draper is rather swoonsome really. Dh has next episode ready to watch now. It's past my bedtime, but I suppose not having to get up at the crack of dawn is the only upside to this bloody weather.

VerityBrulee · 01/12/2010 23:03

NY My eyes

Fritzi meant to say sorry you are having such a hard time at the moment, you really do deserve a shearling Smile

DTI10 · 01/12/2010 23:04

Hi all,

Late entry as just got home after struggling through snow, wind, rain and sleet. Been so manic at work and trying to read all messages so apologies for my "me,me" post.

Please can the W&A's or anyone else around have a quick look at the Whistles Deanne red coat? - can't link, too tired. Thoughts? Hoping to receive positive views? DH purchased and I am trying to convince myself to keep. 100% wool and looks great on model.....

Will check in for views in the morning. Need a hot water bottle and bed!

Goodnight.

pickledsiblings · 01/12/2010 23:04

LTEC you could dab some liquid Ariel concentrate on the stains and then put the blouse in the wash on a delicate cycle (or handwash). It might work.

Bunny Glad DD3 is holding her weight. You are doing a great job I am sure. After my deliveries I used to take a mineral iron supplement called Floridix. It helped me to feel less 'depleted' and my little ones seemed to gain well from the beginning. Just an idea.

Oh, and I hope the Belly wrap works out for you.

Another non-shredder here. Spent the morning doing some lastminute pre Ofsted prep at DS2's school thereby missing my window of opportunity. Will try again tomorrow.

NY great skirt Grin.

ReineDeSaba · 01/12/2010 23:15

have ordered skirt,thanks ny

Have you seen this coat DTI10? I remember you saying that the Zara one was too short on the arms; the arms look quite long on this one.

Here's the Deanne. I like the Military vib that it has but unfortunately I can neither do midlength nor double -breasted.

I am sure some of the other ladies will come along with some good advice for you.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 02/12/2010 05:32

I thought you lot went very quiet very early on the other thread! Bookmarking.

reallygrumpy you can have ALL our snow. Bloody hate the stuff, stuck inside with a toddler and a baby plus DH stuck down at work since Tuesday as he doesn't get a choice wether to go in or not.

traceybath · 02/12/2010 07:30

Morning - a little more light snow here. DS2 and DD both still poorly so frantically re-arranging going to eldest DS's school play - DH and I now going separately so one can be at home with poorly children.

Rip - I did try both janices on and they didn't work for me. I'm 5ft and a small size 8 and found the janice was just generally a bit too big. But I suspect I am way more mutton than Zembo Wink

I also suspect Geordie like me likes dresses that nearly show her knickers Wink

monkeysmama · 02/12/2010 07:31
