DolceeBanana · 02/12/2010 11:53

Light snow here...roads a tad icy. So snuggled up in dark grey cable cardi-coat, grey skinnies and long sleeved stripey tees...oh and spotty scarf!

Oh and found the way to get really warm and work off those calories...try cleaning up blueberry juice from a cream carpet with 1001 carpet cleaner ! Thanks DD1...

Quite warm now!

Making Nigella's Mughlai Chicken for supper.

Am itching to get out and do some shopping but weather not really viable...Sad

Started reading, The Night Before Christmas to my lo's to get them frenzied into the spirit of Christmas...

DD2 beckons...catch you later !

FritziGreenEyes · 02/12/2010 12:22

Marking my place while trying to hide from notyummy and bloss as haven't done shredding yet, ahem...

Romanarama · 02/12/2010 12:51

Can we have the recipe dolce

I want to share that I've neither bought nor even planned a single Christmas present, haven't invited anyone for drinks, havent ordered a tree, haven't done craft activity decorations, haven't even bought the plane tickets to go on holiday on 22 December (due to constant disagreement with dh as happens ever single time we arrange any trip anywhere at all). Am I very unusual?

Romanarama · 02/12/2010 12:52

happily poor you, but I bet dd is having the most brilliant adventure. How old is she?

OllieWollieWoo · 02/12/2010 12:52

Ditto.

pickledsiblings · 02/12/2010 12:56

Reine I too prefer the grey leopard. It would look fab loose with long black boots in the daytime and belted with a black/charcoal suede belt and shoeboot/opaques for evening at pub.

ReineDeSaba · 02/12/2010 12:59

What do you think of this please ladies..my vintage leather skirt is really getting on now(chelsea girl does anyone else remember shopping there?)is flattering on but is paperbag waist too of the moment..I can't do trousers of this style as humoungous thighs but skirt seems to work.

ReineDeSaba · 02/12/2010 13:02

ooh thanks pickled had a feeling the brown a bit 'brassy' on me but sometimes I come over a bit bet lynch and must resist.styling ideas great help

mrsjuan · 02/12/2010 13:08

erm, excuse me NY... I don't seem to have received my gold star for shredding yesterday. Humph.

Just marking place - inlaws coming for dinner tonight so busy tidying and cooking.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 02/12/2010 13:17

reine grey leapord here as well, the animal print hem looks a little young girly and the other one a little, as you say, Bet Lynch.

Esher love that waistcoat and maxi (what a gorgeous colour), the first might be a little shapeless?

bonsoir very jealous you have the legs to wear tights and shorts in winter - LOVE this look but can't carry it off due to rugby player thighs.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 02/12/2010 13:17

I am getting an error with the topshop link...

ReineDeSaba · 02/12/2010 13:21

libra I am notoriosly bad at linking..I just can't seem to get it right.it is the paperbag style under leather skirts..sigh

ReineDeSaba · 02/12/2010 13:22

and libra ahem...girly i'm not(40 and counting..)

DTI10 · 02/12/2010 13:33

I took 2.5 hours to get into the office this morning and my feet are still frozen!

Thanks pickledsiblings for the link to the Ebay coat. I like it but have similar in Camel.

I am not very good on Ebay bargain hunting! I can never find the great items which everyone else discovers!!

I need a size 10, the 8 linked would be too small. I am going to try the Deanne with other wardrobe pieces tonight (when I eventually get home) and make a decision to keep or return.

Phase 8 Janice in Navy is now reduced to £41.25 if anyone is interested??..

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 02/12/2010 14:15

I genuinely don't know if I love this or hate it I have been seduced by all your shearling coat wishes but will never be able to afford the real thing....

happilyeverafter · 02/12/2010 14:27

Roma Dd is four and really happy about the prolonged stay, I would cope better if I could go out and finish my Christmas shopping etc but being indoors it's really odd without her chattering and fun. She is really good company so I can't wait to reclaim her later. Ils are marvellous and adore having her so this is fantastic for them and she will be being spoilt rotten and having the time of her life.

Happy news though is that my Barbour has just arrived. Delivery man just been, on opening door he implored me not to come any closer and pointed out two scary looking icicles above my front door hanging from the guttering, He told me "so very dangerous, could kill you" passed me my parcel and trudged off. I love the jacket so am very pleased despite my dalliance with delivery death...

traceybath · 02/12/2010 14:38

Libra - I hate that Grin

Romanarama · 02/12/2010 14:53

Why is shearling so expensive? Sheep aren't expensive at all are they? Aren't hill farmers all starving because sheep prices are so low? Maybe you could diy a real one for a few quid libra

Romanarama · 02/12/2010 14:54

(that was a joke Grin

blossoming · 02/12/2010 14:57

Mmm it's a bit Del Boy libra.

Okay, I'm off. Will report back later.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 02/12/2010 14:58

tracey it looks like something my mum would wear but also looks warm and cuddly...

roma i wouldn't have to cut the grass either whilst they were waiting to be turned into a coat as an added bonus...

notyummy · 02/12/2010 14:59

Sorry MrsJ - you are moved up to the rainbow too! Fritzi and OWW are obviously down on the cloud (blame my DDs school and their 'motivational' systme for that one...)

roary · 02/12/2010 15:25

LOL Roma. Isn't making one's own charcuterie very trendy? Surely curing animal skin is the Next Big Thing? (Tell bonsoir before she goes all out with the sea urchins, she could use the Whole Sheep and get a new coat)

It is so COLD in my house. Back to making little bonfires of money.

Having a lovely visit with my Canadian mother (who is horrified at the cold house, all Canadian houses being insulated extensively; horrified by the non-clearing of paths and formation of lethal ice; and especially horrified by the no snow tires).

Stripey Janice is waiting for me at work (they are amused by all my shopping while I am on maternity leave, fortunately). WIll report back as did not love Navy Janice so much.

TOo lazy to Shred although I have the DVD. NY can make me clean blackboards or something.
