following on from bunny's festive lead ....

OP posts:
hellsbelles · 10/12/2010 21:04

I've only a teeny tiny bit of brown in my wardrobe bloss...I don't think you would be too cross.

Tracey - too late - I said spanx first. You can't wear yours too...A&W rules...whoever mentions it first Grin

traceybath · 10/12/2010 21:05

New boots are super-comfortable though. So depending on mood/weather will either wear gap coated skinnies a la Zembo/Liz Hurley Wink or grey leopard dress with big duvet coat which is brown [look away Bloss]

traceybath · 10/12/2010 21:06

Oh yes hells I won't wear mine then Wink

blossoming · 10/12/2010 21:09

I wish I could be there! Poor carciofi got me scrutinising her colour wise last week too!

Mumsnut · 10/12/2010 21:11

Was looking at the tan, Esher, 'cos I have black and brown boots in plenty. I'm slightly worried by the lack of zip, since I already have biker-y boots I tend not to wear because the straps are a faff, but worth a try. So, ordered!

hellsbelles · 10/12/2010 21:16

oh bloss I wish you were too. Particularly as I shall probably be wearing stripes ...in winter colours (black and grey)

traceybath · 10/12/2010 21:17

I do too Bloss and not just because of your colour knowledge but really am I spring or summer Grin

blossoming · 10/12/2010 21:20

Well do you wear gold or silver jewellery tracey?
Gold would be spring, silver would be summer.

eshermummy · 10/12/2010 21:27

Bloss I am confused - are you saying that only winters and summers can wear grey and not brown and springs and autumns can wear brown and not grey?

I currently wear both Confused but not together.

You've seen me irl, do you know what I would be?

Nutty - am tempted by those boots in the black - I rather assumed that they slipped on though and that the buckles were just adornment rather than functional.
No more buckle boots, the belstaffs are enough Grin

Tracey I cancelled the My W gilet order as they refused to allow me to use the £50 off. it was reduced from £250 to £175 and I was already buying a £27 pair of tights I didn't really want to get the total to over £200 so it just didn't seem worth it.

Have ordered this Blush Well, it had another 40% off....
Bit worried about the no bra problem but am thinking can wear on hols over a bikini

Apparently more snow next week so have ordered sheepskin mittens - my hands are freezing in my leather gloves pushing the pram.

Meet-up I think may wear old fave of Pringle fine wool and jersey empire dress with some sort of shiny leggings/rats combo and low wedge ankle boots as they are most comfy for walking.

May try to pop to Warehouse on Sunday - I sent back LTEC's navy swallow blouse but on website they also do a cream version which not avail on asos. Also would like to try a 6 aswell as an 8.

eshermummy · 10/12/2010 21:29

Bloss - I wear gold AND silver jewellery. Sometimes together Shock!!
There is no hope for me is there? I must have some sort of seasonality disorder.SadGrin

blossoming · 10/12/2010 21:32

esher, that is what I mean. What eye color are you, and what hair colour were you when you were a child?

hellsbelles · 10/12/2010 21:36

Grin at seasonality disorder

eshermummy · 10/12/2010 21:36

LOL at your second Q, what do you mean Bloss this is my natural haircolour I'll have you know Wink!

Eyes- blue/green (green in the middle, blue round the edge!)
Hair - light brown

eshermummy · 10/12/2010 21:38

AAAgh, whichever way this goes I''m losing half my wardrobe... will it be the grey half or the brown half....?

blossoming · 10/12/2010 21:41

I'm going to say summer then esher. (I did think looked amazing at last meet up with your gold chain though!) But I'm sure you look better in grey ghan in brown though!

blossoming · 10/12/2010 21:44

Sorry, typos, red wine.

hellsbelles · 10/12/2010 21:45

bloss - when you have a tan are all rules on colours out of the window? I think look rather good in pure orange (with a tan) but I'm supposed to be a winter.

eshermummy · 10/12/2010 21:48

Thanks Bloss. Life not worth living without grey.
I don't suppose summers are allowed black are they?

blossoming · 10/12/2010 21:51

I'm not sure about that hells. Although (I'm repeating myself here), Oprah Winfrey looks amazing in winter colours, and she's obviously black. I used to wear coral and yellow snd turquoise in summer too.

blossoming · 10/12/2010 22:00

No black sorry esher. Btw, my dh has brown hair but when he was a child he was white blond. I think it makes a difference. I have always been this colour though.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 10/12/2010 23:18

I've just swooped in for my weekly drool here - sorry to butt in, but I'm a Summer, and I have a lovely deep chocolate brown as one of my '100% 2star' colours - as well as a grey (don't know what it's called but it's lighter than charcoal and darker than silver).

There's also a lighter brown and what can only be described a beige (but not camel).
My eyes are pure blue and I have cool skin tone and cool highlights in my hair, which was originally dark brown but is fading to grey!

Hope this doesn't confuse the issue - but loads of lovely shades in the Summer palette Smile.

notyummy · 11/12/2010 07:23

Morning all. Soooooo annoying. Woke up at 5 am needing the loo and haven't been able to get back to sleep since. Been trying but brain won't stop tucking over- so much on at the moment. Dh back for 36 hours and got frustrated with my fidgeting so has disappeared to the spare room! He told me to have a lie in this morning whilst he sorted dd out, so it is even more annoying.

The other frustrating thing is my lack of Hoover (the glamour! Sorry ladies.) It broke last weekend at the start of a vacumning session, so it has been 10 days already since the house has been hoovered. We paid Dixons ( yes, I'm naming and shaming) some huge additional fee for a specific delivery slot - last night- and no fecking Hoover! So I have people arriving to stay later this morning, plus a houseful of guests on Sunday for a party and I will have to go cap in hand to the neighbours to borrow their Hoover 2 or 3 times this weekend. Plus work out when someone will be in again to take delivery of said Hoover when they decide to eventually show up. Grrrr. I am setting DH on them via the customer helpline this AM- in between him putting all the Xmas lights up!

Lovely to see all the discussions of meet up outfits. I am so jealous, and hope you have a lovely time. Have a glass of something sparkly for me!

monkeysmama · 11/12/2010 09:21

Hello ladies

Just checking in to say hello. RL has been too frantic recently to post much.

Well, I have another mini monkey on the way! I am feeling pretty unsettled about it & don't want to make a big deal about it in case there are problems which there could be considering my/family history. Going to the dr on Wednesday for the first checks so fingers, toes everything crossed. I can't believe how I have ballooned! No wonder I've been feeling so out of sorts and fat. Think I am about 8/9 weeks but my stomach is sticking out like a little ball already. Thank heavens I bought all those elasticated waist harems! Only dp and my sister know in rl (she guessed) but I suspect dd "knows" something as she won't be away from me for a millisecond and wants cuddling every second of the day. I have been pretty sick and laying around cuddling is always nice.

I hope all you lucky ladies going to the meet up have fun. I will definitely be at the next one!

Bonsoir · 11/12/2010 09:25

Can I say congratulations anyway, monkeysmama? Fingers crossed all goes well.

monkeysmama · 11/12/2010 09:27

Thank you Bonsoir. I wasn't nervous about posting and then I thought I want to enjoy every second iykwim of it so congratulations are much appreciated.
