Not just you EIE Didn't excite me and you know I am CL's biggest fan (after Danielle Steele)

What do you think of [http://www.frenchconnection.com/product/Woman+Collections+Dresses/71LG3/Bex+Beads+Dress.htm this dress] with black opaques?

CHOOGIRL · 02/12/2010 21:10

rubbish link

this dress

LetThemEatCake · 02/12/2010 21:10

glass of wine and am back having mostly caught up I think (eyes may have glazed over at various points on thread Grin) )

bunny sorry for unnecessary stress over dd3's weight, not what you need. Sounds like you are coping amazingly though so keep us posted

Fritzi sorry about your dd's behaviour and its effect on you - for what it's worth, I think we all have days like that. My dd was quite challenging earlier this year and I had to remind myself that she was only doing what I often felt like doing, but wasn't yet emotionally equipped to regulate her own behaviour by drinking wine and coffee. I try to remind myself that they are people, not just children, with emotions that they need to express but can't necessarily manage effectively. Hugs to you and her.

carciofi hope today went well!

happily poor you, I would be going spare Hope she is home for big cuddles soon.

tracey I take Floradix, highly recommend. Also acupuncture, which I swear keeps me strong. Have fun tonight, no doubt in my mind you looked the bomb!

bloss how is it going??!!

had to dig my car out this morning (and without thinking threw shovel in car, leaving dh's van snowed in, ooops) and feet were frozen in Belstaffs (wearing with charcoal DKNY l/s sack shift with exposed zips, over magenta cashmere sweater and black Falkes) and have still had no post so could not risk the online ordering thing and just had to love with what local shops had in my size - namely these in black They are not pretty but by jingo they are warm, non-slippy and waterproof.

And I am so in love with my NF arctic parka atm, MM is yours here yet?

Agree with esherdaddy that london roads deserted, a joy to drive! Except my high altitude 'hood which is just plain inconvenient!

ps Roma have also not bought or even thought about any Xmas pressies yet. Have done mucho craft with dc though Grin

Fleecy · 02/12/2010 21:12

I quite like the snakeskin ones and I can see her wearing them with pegs and a plain silk tee BUT I'm guessing they were still pretty pricey and they aren't a 'forever' shoe. But hey, she looks happy!

Fleecy · 02/12/2010 21:14

choo two of my friends have the Bex dress so I feel a bit guilty saying I'm not a fan. Sorry!

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2010 21:18

Those shoes would not be for me. But hey I'm with Fleecy, she looks happy.

And pretty anyway so will probably make them look ok and get away with it.

LetThemEatCake · 02/12/2010 21:39

is she pretty? Confused

um. Pretty but plain, I'd say.

Fleecy you are pretty

Ugh! have just been off doing my monthly cc reconciliation. Is a real feat of memory and cross-referencing due to the ridiculous amounts of online and other returns that I make Blush so I only ever underestimate have a hazy idea of exactly what I have spent when I tot it all up. Well, it's not good news, I am in serious danger of exceeding my whoring wages allowance so will have to cut back next month. More wisdom, less avidity from Esher.

GeorginaWorsley · 02/12/2010 21:43

Like the Bex dress but fear you would be sure to see someone else in it at any party.

eshermummy · 02/12/2010 21:43

WIT is not unattractive but she's not gorgeous. What she has is youth on her side - very fresh faced and scrubbed. Not ravaged by time or children. Now thats attractive in my book Grin

CHOOGIRL · 02/12/2010 21:44

You see - I have been snowed in for two days and my fashion sense has gone. Wink

By hook or by crook I will get to the Wharf tomorrow.

Will tell Esherdaddy to mind out and be sure to give way to the hi-jacked snowplough being driven at speed by a Maxmara and Louboutin clad nutter tomorrow then!

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2010 21:48

Haha I feel the same way about school.

Ds is going.

I miss doing work.

blossoming · 02/12/2010 22:15

I am home. I made money. I have drunk a bottle of wine.

CHOOGIRL · 02/12/2010 22:18

Well done Bloss.

What did the biscuits go for?

MarshaBrady · 02/12/2010 22:19

Excellent Bloss. What was the most popular thing?

notyummy · 02/12/2010 22:22

Well done blossoming!

Can't believe we have another snow day tomorrow here. I am going to try and make an expedition on foot into town to the library into an exciting 'polar adventure' for DD and I. We have had 6 days already of sledging and snow castles EVERY DAY. I don't want to do it again tomorrow. I have managed to drag the festive biscuit making out over 2 days, so we have icing to do tomorrow, and are making Christmas stained glass window things (with card and tissue paper!)

We are being told to drive only if absolutely necessary so I am restricted in what I can do, and am not sure if DH will be able to make it back this weekend.

Pah!

On a less whingy note, at least my food delivery turned up today - and on time too! I guaranteed that though by trudging 4 miles to the shop and back today for emergency bread and milk supplies in case he didn't turn up.... Listened to Ac/Dc and Pearl Jam on the ipod to keep me going Grin

eshermummy · 02/12/2010 22:32

NYI wondered how you were getting on! Glad your shopping arrived. Mine is due 7am tomorrow, fingers crossed.

We have only had 1 snow day here as apparently dd1's chool will re-open tomorrow although later than usual (yaaay!). Not sure about dd2's nursery yet though, they will decide in the morning depending on how many staff make it in.
Don't think we are due any more snow here tonight but the temp is plummeting so it will be pure ice out there tomorrow Sad

Well done Bloss!!!

LetThemEatCake · 02/12/2010 22:33

well done bloss!

right, cake promise fulfilled. a bit Blush about my 2009 pledge as some of the pledgers are so talented eg one very famous (and controversial Grin) artist dads at the nursery gave one of his works!! Shock. My cake seems a bit Hmm by comparison - but hey, from each according to his ability and all that.

Tell us more bloss!!

geordie my love. You okay? will msg you on FB. Glad you are here anyway xx
