Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

Thank you

I won't ring them tonight but I'll let you know how they get on

When will you get the results of your theory - do they tell you straight away or will you have to wait? Can't believe it's 17 years since I took my test I must be getting old!!

LooptheLoop · 10/01/2006 15:17

NAAM - fingers crossed for your family tonight.

Squirrel - we bought one of the boys a car racing game for Christmas. I had a go at the weekend and they were all in hysterics at how bad I was! Maybe we could lend it you for practice!! Good luck with the theory - one chunk at a time hey.

Squirrel3 · 10/01/2006 15:26

lol loopy, I might have better luck with a game at least if I crash no-one will get hurt.

NAAM, they let you know if you have passed straight away, just had a go of my driving test theory CD-rom practice exams and have passed twice and failed twice (mind you the second fail was because I thought the test had finished and there were more questions I should have answered )

NotActuallyAMum · 10/01/2006 15:30

Thanks loopy

I love those driving games - like Squirrel says you can crash and it doesn't matter

Been thinking about getting a playstation but I daren't cos I'd never get any housework done!!

LooptheLoop · 10/01/2006 18:44

Not a big games fan - but in comparison to housework, give me the console any time!

NotActuallyAMum · 12/01/2006 09:19

Morning all

How is everyone?

Squirrel3 · 12/01/2006 09:47

Hello, sorry couldn't get on here yesterday and its only a flying visit this morning.

How did it go with your brother NAAM?

Wish my dd luck today, she has her driving test this morning! [fingers-crossed emoticon]

NotActuallyAMum · 12/01/2006 09:50

Hi squirrel

Haven't spoken to my brother yet, tried to ring him last night but got no reply - and he's the only person I know who hasn't got a mobile!

Fingers crossed for your dd - really hope she passes, it'll help her out no end to be mobile

Squirrel3 · 12/01/2006 12:30

She passed!

Is anyone else having trouble adding a msg to this thread? When I went to add msg it only took me half-way down the thread, maybe its just tooo long!!!!!

If it keeps happening we may have to start a new thread (Nutty Stepmum's Club (cont'd)). What do you think?

NotActuallyAMum · 12/01/2006 12:52

That's wonderful Squirrel really pleased for her

I've not had any problems but I do think it's probably a good idea to start a new thread. Think we should let it get to 2,000 posts first tho

Squirrel3 · 12/01/2006 13:00

Thank you, I'll pass that on to dd.

Its my turn next! Can you believe that my kids have passed their tests before me!!!!

I'm just looking at my highway code to try to get it into my thick skull what blue ones etc mean, what red circles mean, red triangles etc, in the theory test you could be asked what a blue circle means, ie is it an instruction? Is it giving an order? Is it a warning?

Also stopping distances will not go in, I just can't remember them.

I didn't have trouble adding a msg this time.

NotActuallyAMum · 12/01/2006 13:05

My mum only started her lessons again when I passed my test - we had all passed before her too so don't let that worry you

Squirrel3 · 12/01/2006 14:10

I hope you hear from your brother soon (and that it is positive news), it must be awful for them and the kids.

NotActuallyAMum · 12/01/2006 16:44

Thank you I hope so too

I'll try to ring tonight, I never know what shift he's on but I will try

Squirrel3 · 12/01/2006 16:55

Hey, I've been doing some practice exams for the theory test and I keep passing!!! I keep getting 91% (pass mark is 85%). Maybe I will pass the theory! Don't hold your breath though!

I'll keep on practicing, I've got a week to make sure I know it so I should be okay. [hopeful emoticon]

Hope you get in touch with your Brother and all is well, talk to you tomorrow.

Where is Tarantula?

NotActuallyAMum · 12/01/2006 16:58

Really hope you pass, I'm sure you'll be fine

It's Friday tomorrow - good enough excuse (as if we need one!) to bring out the booze to get MsT out!!

Squirrel3 · 12/01/2006 17:00

Oooooooh! Sounds lovely, we haven't had a virtual drink for ages!!!

tarantula · 13/01/2006 09:13

NotActuallyAMum · 13/01/2006 09:34

Hello MsT

We knew the mention of alcohol would bring you out

How is everyone today?

Squirrel3 · 13/01/2006 10:00

Hello, I'm ok thank you!

You will never guess what my Step-kids told me on Wednesday evening?......

They told me that I am a really good cook and my food is so much better than they have at home!?!? [puzzled emoticon], Mmmmmmm, wonder what they are up to!?

Funny you should say that you are making a Birthday cake for your dd tarantula, I have just ordered a Satellite Navigation System for ds's birthday. When is dd's birthday? ds's is next friday (the day I take my theory test!!!)

Squirrel3 · 13/01/2006 10:03

p.s. I must be really dumb today.... what is a lv&c?

NotActuallyAMum · 13/01/2006 10:12

Large vodka and coke?? That's my guess anyway

Oooohhh Squirrel! That's a turn-up for the books your skids saying that to you!! Do you think they're after something??

Squirrel3 · 13/01/2006 10:19

Exactly my thought NAAM!!!

Here is the vodka Here is the coke , enjoy Tarantula!

Squirrel3 · 13/01/2006 11:00

NAAM, I'm guessing that you haven't spoken to your brother yet?

NotActuallyAMum · 13/01/2006 11:25

No - still couldn't get him last night. I would say he's probably on nights in which case SIL could be at her mums but I'll definitely get in touch with them over the weekend

I'm doing really well on my diet - I've been ever so good. Still not weighing myself tho...
