Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

I bet your dp will be really chuffed with that NAAM.

I am so fed-up with wrapping presents now, when I started I was enjoying it but now....

Oh well, only four more to go!

Squirrel3 · 01/12/2005 15:58

Have you had any ideas about Christmas names yet?

I thought that I could be Notmynutsroastingonan openfireSquirrel, but its to long, and it makes me sound male.

Any ideas? You could be NoelAAM.

Squirrel3 · 01/12/2005 15:59

NotmynutsroastingonanopenfireSquirrel I mean!

NotActuallyAMum · 01/12/2005 16:21

lol Squirrel

I had thought of having a Christmas name, agree yours makes you sound like a man Don't know how to change my name anyway

MsT could be tinseltarantula

FANC could be FruitAndFestiveNutCase

You could be Squirrel3Kings

Suppose I could be NotActuallyAMotherChristmas

Don't think we'll make it to Mum and Dads tonight - DP txt me half an hour ago to say he was on his 2nd beer and he had a bottle of Bailey's waiting for me bless him, so think that's my evening sorted

You're making me think now, I haven't even thought about wrapping, really must get some done.....

Squirrel3 · 01/12/2005 16:27

I really like your Christmas names.

You must change it when we all do it, you go to 'your member profile' at the top of this page, then you change your name and then (I think) update or reset it, have a go, its all becomes clear as you are doing it.

NotActuallyAMum · 01/12/2005 16:39

Sounds easy enough - thought it must be cos some people seem to do it all the time

Wonder where everyone else is? Bet they'll be on tomorrow, Friday always seems to bring them out

Be you've finished your wrapping now

Squirrel3 · 01/12/2005 16:47

No, I haven't finished my wrapping, I wrapped the four then I found another four that I had forgotten.

I'm sure everyone will come out to play tomorrow.

Talk to you then, byeeee!

tarantula · 01/12/2005 16:48

NotActuallyAMum · 01/12/2005 16:50

Hello MsT

How are you?

Any ideas about Christmas names for us?

tarantula · 02/12/2005 10:30

Hello everyone. Havent had a minute to think of Christmas names tbh. weve had a virus here at work so have been just a wee bit busy rebuilding 60 odd pcs and putting new anti virus on all the others. Just what I need before Xmas when what I should be doing at work is all my online shopping!!!!! How was the Baileys last night NAAM??? Got anythingn nice planned for today?

NotActuallyAMum · 02/12/2005 10:53

Bailey's went down very well as usual

DPs Mum and Dad are taking us out for a meal tonight then tomorrow we're having a MacDonald's breakfast then going up to Manchester to watch my team play - quarter past 5 kick off so plenty of time for a few drinks before the game - and we're staying overnight so a perfect birthday for me, I know you lot don't like football but I absolutely love it, always have. Can't wait, really looking forward to it

Sounds like a nightmare with your PCs at work, I wouldn't know where to start

Squirrel3 · 02/12/2005 12:04

I have just had the most fantastic news!!!

DD has been offered a house a couple of streets away from me and its perfect!

When she phoned me I was at work and she was sobbing her heart out, I couldn't get out of her what had happened, I thought something terrible had happened. When I adventually got it out of her, I was crying too.

She should be in by Christmas!

NotActuallyAMum · 02/12/2005 12:25

Squirrel that's absolutely fantastic, you must be so chuffed

Really pleased for you both, and for your grandchildren. Living in a high(ish) rise flat is no good for children in any situation let alone when their mum has a disability

So no prizes for guessing what's going to keep you busy until Christmasm - good job you've already done your wrapping [grini]

NotActuallyAMum · 02/12/2005 12:26

What's a grini? Anyone know? Cos I don't!!

Squirrel3 · 02/12/2005 12:29

Feel like I'm doing a grini, I just can't stop grinning!

Its a good job I got Christmas organised early this year!

NotActuallyAMum · 02/12/2005 12:34

Yes it certainly is

Bet the cheshire cat's got nothing on you

Best Christmas present you could have hoped for

tarantula · 02/12/2005 14:24

Esp for you squirrel fab news about your dd

Squirrel3Kings · 02/12/2005 15:05

Eeek! That's horrible!

I thought that dogs and squirrels can be friends!

Proof!

Squirrel3Kings · 05/12/2005 09:03

Morning, how was your birthday NAAM?

NotActuallyAMum · 05/12/2005 09:38

Good morning

It was really good thank you, we had a wonderful time. Lots of nice cards, quite a few nice presents. DP arranged for a huge bouquet of flowers to be in the hotel room for when we arrived - they're gorgeous

How are things with you, will dd get her house keys this week?

Squirrel3Kings · 05/12/2005 09:56

Glad you had a lovely Birthday

DD get to have her first 'official' look this week, then we will find out when she can move in.

We have already seen the house though its one dp has worked on, he has put in a brand new fitted kitchen, that's all that needed doing though because the people who lived there before really looked after it.

Its one of the houses that we had phoned up about because we knew it was empty but they denied all knowledge, that was on a Thursday but when we phoned up again on the following Monday the allocations officer told us that it had already been allocated. Now what is suposed to happen is that on a Tuesday afternoon the allocations pannel (consisting of several people) go through the available houses and allocate the together. The local Councillor that has been helping asked the other people on the allocations pannel about this house and they didn't know what he was talking about so the allocations officer that had been dealing with dd's case had acted on her own. It was then that I put in a formal complaint. Now a couple of weeks later she gets offered the house.

It really makes you wonder, if I hadn't got angry and made the complaint dd could still be waiting this time next year! I hope the bloody woman got into loads of trouble!!

See, don't mess with the Squirrel!!!

My hot water has packed up this morning and I need to wash my hair before I go to work, grrrr, going to have to boil up a kettle or something!

Squirrel3Kings · 05/12/2005 10:24

BBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Just checked the hot water again and it was luke warm, so I was very brave and had a luke warm shower!!!!!!!!!

BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

ITS FREEZING!!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 05/12/2005 10:29

Glad dd is getting sorted, really excited for you all

Hope DP can fix the water for you, it's too cold to be without hot water!

Squirrel3Kings · 05/12/2005 11:15

dp should be able to fix it, I'm getting excited too, but we need loads of boxes to pack and all of the supermarkets seem to put them straight into the compactor to get rid of them.

Got to go to work now, talk later!

FruitAndNutcase · 05/12/2005 11:35

Hi NAAM and Squirrel, thought I would chat to you on here instead of on NAAM's birthday thread.

Im ok thanks. Sorry I havent been on for a while been very very busy. Went up North on Thursday for SS passing out parade on Friday. It was really good, so proud of him. Just wish the weather had been a bit better. It was torrential rain and very windy. Ruined it a little bit as we were all sat out in it for 3 hours getting soaked lol! Still at least BM avoided us which was good!!! How are you all doing?
