Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

NAAM, you wasn't suposed to look at the link!

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 12:57

Oops! I'll pretend I haven't seen it

Workmen will be back within the next 15 minutes

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 13:14

NAAM, you'd better get on the phone or walkie talkie or whatever you spy's are using these days they only have 1 min to get back!

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 13:25

Oh no!! They've let me down haven't they??

Must have words with The Boss

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 14:20

Still not there NAAM, think they are in the next Street digging up the road there!

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 14:36

Well, what can I say?? It's all gone tits up!!

Have they filled in the hole outside your house yet or are you still caged?

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 14:40

Still caged, I can't for the life of me understand what they were doing this morning, they just made the hole bigger, then left.

I can hear the digger in the next street, I don't understand what's going on...

You realised I was on to them didn't you and tipped them off!!!!

FruitAndNutcase · 14/11/2005 15:05

PMSL @ Squirrel and NAAM. If you're a spy NAAM can you let me know what BM is doing at this moment so that I can shop her if shes working? lol

Whilst Im on girlies, any suggestions on what I could get DP for his forthcoming "big" birthday? He is a typical bloke, loves boys toys, the more expensive the better? Also any suggestions on somewhere nice to take him for his birthday, fancy something quite romantic but not too girly romantic if u know wot I mean?

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 15:11

What are his hobbies FANC?

My dp is easy to buy for, I just get him something for his boat or new fishing equipiment rods, lines, reels etc.

FruitAndNutcase · 14/11/2005 15:18

He loves Motorbikes Squirrel, but unfortunately the only things left that he needs are far too expensive (like £500 upwards)! He loves anything to do with the army (as he is ex military himself) loves tanks, thought I might get him a model tank to put together and paint, not that he has any patience lol! Was thinking about getting him an electric guitar as he was thinking of learning to play, although it would probably be just another 5 minute wonder for him! He goes to the gym a lot and hes just started running and hoping to do another marathon next year, so could buy him some running stuff. I just wanted to get him something really unusual, a surprise, not something he asks for (all of the above which he has hinted at)! He doesnt like jewellery, although I might buy him a nice gold chain! Confused.com thats me! lol

FruitAndNutcase · 14/11/2005 15:20

Oh he also likes sex, but nothing I think we can really buy to add to that iynwim! lol

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 15:24

Squirrel you've found me out - damn!! I could be very popular as a BM spy tho couldn't I????

FANC how about a remote controlled bike/tank etc. Men usually love that kind of thing. My DP is very hard to buy for too - I've bought him a personalised number plate for Christmas. He saw the advert on telly and said he would mind one. At the time I said "yeah right, like we can afford one" but it was £250 - I was expecting it to be 4x that in which case he certainly wouldn't have got one!!

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 15:26

In that case you could treat yourself to some new undies - they'd be for him in a roundabout way

When's his birthday?

FruitAndNutcase · 14/11/2005 15:27

Hi NAAM, I bought him a remote controlled tank for his birthday last year lol! but great idea though. I never thought of a number plate, thats quite a good idea for his motorbike! Hes just so bloody hard to buy for, he has pretty much everything he needs (well hes got me hasnt he?) lol

Need some ideas for where to go for birthday aswell, was originally thinking of a couple/few nights in Amsterdam or Prague or Scotland or maybe just somewhere nice in the South West.

FruitAndNutcase · 14/11/2005 15:28

Lol yeah I might treat myself to some nice undies! good idea. Its not until the end of January, but also falls only a couple of days before mine, so kinda like a joint celebration (although Im much younger of course!) lol

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 15:29

What about something from here?

This looks romantic.

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 15:33

You could visit Squirrel! She's by the sea - and she has a swimming pool now

I assume he's 40 [very nosey emoticon]

It's my birthday 2 weeks on Saturday

FruitAndNutcase · 14/11/2005 15:35

Thanks Squirrel, I have looked at those activities days, but hes done most of that sort of thing. Hes a real adrenalin junkie! Hes a professional parachutest (from the RAF), a qualified diving instructor, drives a VERY fast motorbike on the road and on track, isn't really into cars so much, just bikes. I mentioned about a baloon flight to him a while ago, but he says its not exciting enough! lol His friend flys a microlight and he went up with him a while ago and thought it was disappointing, not exciting enough and didnt get his adrenalin pumping!

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 15:36

I like that site Squirrel

FANC do you think he'd like to do a skydive? My DP bought me one last Christmas - I'd always wanted to do it - and it was absolutely fantastic. Jumping from a plane 15,000 feet up - wonderful! Think DP paid £225 for the actual dive then I paid £80 to have it video'd

It was absolutely fantastic and I'm dropping very unsubtle hints for another one this Christmas!!

FruitAndNutcase · 14/11/2005 15:37

Lol @ NAAM and Squirrels swimming pool! DP used to live in Cornwall so is very used to the sea!

Yes he is the big 40 but he has had all his work colleagues believing that he is 29 not 39, lucky bar steward he has great genes! Im younger than him but am beginning to look older! lol

FruitAndNutcase · 14/11/2005 15:38

NAAM, skydive would be boring to DP now. He has jumped out of chinnocks etc. thousands of times, that was part of his job, so hes very used to it! see what I mean about being difficult? lol

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 15:38

OK so he's a professtional parachutist!!

He still might not have tried skydiving tho? It's very different when you can actually freefall for 9,500 feet before opening the 'chute

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 15:39

You would be very welcome, you could even stay in dp's parents house they are going to America in a couple of weeks time, they have a big pool and a sauna in a beautiful house in the country... BM would never find you!!!! lol

FruitAndNutcase · 14/11/2005 15:39

He even used to do those formation type skydive things with the RAF when there were air shows / events on etc. lol

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 15:40

I'd definitely grass him up to his workmates about his age
