Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

Squirrel3 · 11/11/2005 16:41

Hello, I'm back, moved the barrier a bit, can squeeze out now! Phew!

That axe was a rather beautiful axe, wasn't it Tarantula?

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Squirrel3 · 11/11/2005 16:45

Dp has only gone and bought another van for work, where is he going to park it? He can't park it at the front of the house. Oh well, he'll find somewhere for it.

supose we'd beter go and pick up the step kids now BM will be going mad because we will be late!

Talk to you all Monday, have a good weekend Tarantula and everyone!

tarantula · 11/11/2005 16:48

Glad you have managed to squeeze out Squirrel. Cant believe they trapped you in like that
Well Im gonna go and changed in aminute for my cycle home. Am not looking forward to it Looks cold and dark out there. Hope dp is home when I et in. Ill be really pissed off if he isnt. I rang him while he was round ex's picking up dss and an old mate of his had turned up. Ill not be happy if he gets stuck round there as ex and this fella both smoke and I dont want dd stuck in a smoky house. also if he does stay long hell have a few beers and I'll hit the roof (dont mind him drinking but not when hes gotta get dd and dss home).

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 09:38

Hello NAAM (sorry I didn't say hello on the other thread, I know, I'm so rude!)

Hello tarantula and FANC,

The waterboard still haven't fixed the leak, they have dug a huge hole and left it, I now have a swimming pool and a running stream outside my house!

How was everyone's weekend?

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 09:50

That's OK Squirrel - hello to you too

Blimey they are making a job out of this aren't they? Are they back there again now? I've always wanted a swimming pool LOL

My weekend wasn't too bad, not fantastic tho cos DP is on nights at the mo - I hate being on my own at night. Actually I hate being on my own full stop!! But it's worse at night

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 10:08

They have just turned up; you have some kind of strange power over these workmen!

You say the word and they do it ~~~~puzzling!~~~~

Do you work for the government by any chance?

Are you some kind of high ranking spy? Are you and your team trying to find out information on us Squirrels planning world domination?

By the way do you like my web-site?

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 10:17

LOL Squirrel

No I don't work for the government. Wish I was a spy tho - I could have some fun with that

Do let me know what time you want them to leave today won't you?

tarantula · 14/11/2005 10:29

If I were you Squirrel Id tell them not to bother clearing uup the pool but just to install filters and a heater instead

Jsut read about your w'end on the other thread. Sorry you had such a bad time. Dunno how you do it. Id have had someones guts for garters by now (dp's probably ). You are a saint. Dss wouldnt dare behave like that round ours.

We had quite a nice weekend. Dp got back reasonably early on friday thankfully but was in a foul mood cos hte trains were arse. I had PMT so fun all round in the web . Long walk on Sat followed by roast dinner and evening by the fire with marshmallows and chestnuts and a horrible 3d jigsaw (It will NOT get the better of us). Sunday the ids made Xmas pressies for the grandparents he he. Must tell mum to clear the windowsill in the back toilet to display all the lovely 'treasures' she'll be getting over the next few years

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 10:49

Glad you had a nice weekend Tarantula, wish my step-kids would go for walks with us. I used to take my kids for walks in the woods when they were little but the step-kids are so different, they seem to just sit back and demand to be entertained (which costs money that we don't have spare). The mere mention of a walk in the woods would be met with groans and strops, they want to go to the cinema, ice-skating, bowling, the sea front to go in the amusements or swimming etc every week, and it costs a small fortune.

I just think that they are spoilt, and they don't appreciate it, they expect it!

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 11:34

Morning MsT glad you had a good weekend

Squirrel my dsd is like that too - she won't walk anywhere more than 100 yards. Sometimes when she comes she has to fetch things from her Nans house (BMs mum) and it's literally a 3 - 4 minute walk but oh no she can't possibly walk, DP has to take her in the car

All she wants to do when she stays with us is go on MSN (she doesn't have internet access anywhere else). I don't think DP should let her stay on the computer for hours on end but of course he won't say no to her so she just does as she likes, and I DEFINITELY don't agree with her being on the internet in her bedroom! She could be doing anything but again, DP won't tell her off so what can I do....

Anyway, that's my moan for today

Can't be bothered to do any work today (so what's new I hear you all say )

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 11:55

NAAM, ss is always on MSN, was annoyed yesterday evening when I came to use the computer to find food all over the keyboard! GGGGrrrrrr!

Been picking out noodles all morning!!!!

Thats another moan for today!

so NAAM, whats new then?

FruitAndNutcase · 14/11/2005 12:03

Morning all!!!!!!!!

Sorry you had a crap weekend Squirrel, I know how you feel, we had stepkids this weekend and it is so bloody expensive. If they are not doing something different for 2 minutes they start playing up and saying they are bored! We have to take them to the cinema (saw Nanny McPhee, very very very good film), then took them to a kids amusement place with ball ponds etc, dinner out, food at the cinema etc. etc. Over £70 just for one day, not including the petrol to get to them over 160 miles away!!!!! God to be honest, I really dont know if I want a kid, we cant bloody afford one! lol You are right though, kids are totally spoilt, I never had all what they had when I was their age. In the holidays I had to entertain myself, I was lucky if I got a trip to the zoo!

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 12:09

Helo FANC,

If only our dp's would put their feet down and say "no, this weekend we make our own entertainment, we can go to the woods, we can climb trees, enjoy the outdoors, get some fresh air, we might even see a bit of nature and maybe collect chestnuts and do as Tarantula ss does and roast them"! (The chestnuts that is not the stepkids... but then again...

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 12:12

NAAM, why have my workmen disapeared around the corner and why have they started digging up the road there too?

I'm getting scared now!!!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 12:12

Nothing new Squirrel - me not doing any work is the norm since I found this site

Hello FANC

Kids certainly are spoilt these days (OMG I sound like my mother ) but I don't think it's just skids - my nieces and nephews get far too much and they don't appreciate or look after anything

I'm moaning again now aren't I? That's it no more grumbling today

Squirrel I reckon your workmen will be stopping for lunch within the next half hour

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 12:16
NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 12:17

X posts Squirrel

They've disappeared to eat their lunch

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 12:25

So what time do I expect them back?

NotActuallyAMum · 14/11/2005 12:29

Hmmmmmm, let me see.......

They'll be back between 1 and 1:15

Squirrel3 · 14/11/2005 12:36

Tarantula, FANC and every other nutty step-mum out there, beware
