Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 28/10/2005 16:24

How dare they expect me to work on a Friday afternoon???? GITS!!!

My computer is on a go-slow now - know how it feels - and it's taking ages to open the halloween link so I'll have to look at it on Monday

Off home now - have a good weekend everyone

NotActuallyAMum · 31/10/2005 08:33

Morning all

PMSL at the halloween link

I've got my halloween glasses on today - two pumpkins with a hole in the middle for me to see through - and yes I do look a prat but I don't care

Squirrel3 · 31/10/2005 14:19

Hello NAAM

Squirrel3 · 01/11/2005 11:39

NAAM, how did the trick or treating go?

How many children did you scare?

NotActuallyAMum · 01/11/2005 11:53

It was good thank you

Didn't have as many as I would have liked tho, I missed 2 because I couldn't get my costume on in time!! I felt like standing at the door and shouting "come back! I'm here now!!"

DP has got dsd tonight, we're having fireworks and hot dogs etc. cos we won't see her at the weekend. It started off as just the 3 of us, then DP suggested I ask my sister and her kids, then I thought Mum and Dad would be offended if they weren't asked, then I said if my Mum and Dad are coming what about yours, and your gran etc. etc...... so now I'm doing food for 21!! Quite looking forward to it tho, should be nice even tho it'll be hard work. At least DP will help and not expect me to do everything

Squirrel3 · 01/11/2005 12:04

NAAM, I wanted to do that at the weekend only a small bonfire in the fire-pit a few fireworks and burgers and hot dogs, but dp didn't really want to, it would have been fun for the kids but...

I think that it was because BM is having a party the coming weekend and having at least 50 people around with loads of fireworks etc, so I think he was a bit worried that our little do would be seen (by the stepkids) as a bit pathetic in comparison.

Its ok for her, dp provides very well for his kids, she is living with someone who is well off so money isn't an issue for her.

NotActuallyAMum · 01/11/2005 15:05

I want doormat to come on this thread - she sounds like a really good laugh

Just been reading a thread called Tonight.....I commit murder in Relationships and doormat said she once painted her DH's toenails in different colours while he was drunk cos he'd annoyed her

Morning all

How is everyone?? Horrible day where I am, but it is November so shouldn't grumble

7 weeks to Christmas

Squirrel3 · 03/11/2005 09:34

Hello, told dp that as from today I am not sorting out his kids rooms/beds. He will have to do it, I can't do it anymore its just toooooooooo yuk!

And guess what?...

He agreed with me after I told him why.

NotActuallyAMum · 03/11/2005 09:58

Result Squirrel

Are you feeling better today?

Squirrel3 · 03/11/2005 10:13

Well, I feel like throwing up because of ss's bedding, he is 14 and has been having 'exciting dreams' for the past year now! I've had enough of being the one that has to deal with his revolting boxers and discusting bedding!!!

He doesn't even attempt to hide it, he leaves his boxers for me to deal with, I would have thought that he might be a bit embarrassed and take them home with him to sort out himself but No! I get to do it!!!!

If he was bio mine it wouldn't be so revolting, but having to deal with someone elses son's 'you know what' is just so.........

Sorry if that made you feel queasy, but I'm fed up with it, and I am not dealing with it anymore!!!!

I'll be ok in about... mmmm... 6 more rants... then normal service will be resumed (and by that I don't mean that I'll be back to sorting the yuk, cos I'm not! Grrrrr!)

NotActuallyAMum · 03/11/2005 10:55

OMG that's gross, don't blame you at all for refusing to deal with it, I'd have done it long ago! Agree with you too that you'd think he'd at least try to hide it!! Would have thought also that your DP would have offered before now to clean it up for you. I'm no feminist (not by a long shot!) but IMO this is a mans issue and should be kept as such. If my dsd's clothes or bed covers get anything on them because of her "monthlies" I'm always the one who clears it up and puts it all in the wash I wouldn't have it any other way - would never expect DP to do it

for you

Squirrel3 · 03/11/2005 11:27

NAAM, look here .

Think the advice about a 'general announcement' is a good one.

NotActuallyAMum · 03/11/2005 11:50

Hadn't seen this thread cos I never look in Teenagers

Yes I agree about the general announcement - that way he's not being singled out. Have to agree with the comment made by stitch towards the end about him treating you like a slave tho, he should already be putting his dirty clothing/bed covers in the wash. When we have dsd she doesn't put dirty things in the laundry basket cos it's in our room and she's not allowed in there but she has a little container in her room for her to put dirty items in. Have to admit she doesn't strip her bed tho cos we don't wash the covers EVERY time she stays - don't see the point when it's only been slept in for one night - but I'm sure she would if she was asked

Hope your DP supports you on this one, and IMO it should be him who makes the general announcement

Squirrel3 · 03/11/2005 12:07

Oh yes I agree with dp making the announcement.

I think dp will back me on this one, he did say to me when I told him about it this morning that I shouldn't be the one that has to deal with it, he can understand why I would feel yuk about it.

If ds was having the same problem I wouldn't expect dp to sort it out, I would ask ds to change his own bed (he does anyway).
