Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

Hi Squirrel, how are you today?

Sorry by the way to Tarantula, I didnt mean to laugh at your accident it was just the way you put it! Hope you are okay? [blush[

Squirrel3 · 26/10/2005 14:23

I'm ok thank yo FANC, how are you,we don't hear much from you these days. You work to hard.

FruitAndNutcase · 26/10/2005 14:27

Sorry Squirrel, I normally do try and "check in" most days but dont normally have the time to type a message, boss is out at the moment so thought I would take advantage.

I do work bloody hard, but so do most people I guess and it pays the mortgage!

Squirrel3 · 26/10/2005 14:31

You do seem to work harder than most though, you will need to slow down abit when you are expecting!!

How is that going, you are still going to try for a baby after Christmas aren't you?

NotActuallyAMum · 26/10/2005 14:40

ROFPMSL at that cartoon Squirrel Where on earth do you find them???

FANC you should take a leaf out of my book - I'm a master at looking extremely busy when really I'm posting on here Although I'm in an office on my own so it's probably easier for me

Squirrel3 · 26/10/2005 14:45

Hello NAAM

And so your DP should go carpet shopping with you, why should you be the only one to suffer?

I make DP go shopping with me if I have to go, when its food shopping I quite often find ways of getting out of it and DP has to go on his own.

Right now where's Tarantula?

This should get her attention!

She can hear a bottle opening 600 miles away!!

Squirrel3 · 26/10/2005 14:57

Posts crossed NAAM,

No, I haven't heard from DD yet she should get the letter tomorrow. I got DP, a friend and DS to read it before I sent it to make sure it was ok.

tarantula · 26/10/2005 15:02

Pass the booze this way please Getting a bit of a rep here arent I?

Dont worry about laughing I didnt too once Id see what I looked like

glad Im not the only one that insists on dp coming along to do the shopping. NO chance of him getting away with it at all unless Im browsing the book shops then Ill give him leeway to go to the pub.

tarantula · 26/10/2005 15:03

I did not didnt

Squirrel3 · 26/10/2005 15:03

Thought the booze would get your attention1

How are you? (apart from the bruise that is)

Squirrel3 · 26/10/2005 15:04

Its ok tarantula, I cant type today either!

NotActuallyAMum · 26/10/2005 15:06

I'm sure she'll come around eventually, must be hard for you tho in the meantime but I think you've definitely done the right thing - you can't let her hold you to ransom like that, she should know better than to expect you to let that happen. Hope this has a happy ending for you

DP got my monster halloween outfit and pumpkin carving kit out of the loft for me earlier

I'm not really a big kid, honest....

tarantula · 26/10/2005 15:10

Im grand. Dss is off home today so will have a nice quiet house tonight . Mind you havent seen much of him as hes been on the computer most of the weekend.

Am still in AWE of your dp doing food shopping on his own. My dp is great at lots of things but cant manage to shop for more than about 2 meals in any one go. He cant get his head round weekly or even monthly shops (yet!!!! I live in hope nd am still training him )

Squirrel3 · 26/10/2005 15:11

NAAM, DP is really excited about halloween, he always gets a pumpkin and loads of sweets for the kids that knock on the door, he is great with kids and will always have a laugh with them before giving them the sweets (usually by throwing handfuls of the sweets into the air and making the kids catch them). The morning after my front garden is always covered in sweets.

Squirrel3 · 26/10/2005 15:13

I've got the s.kids this evening so I should be making beds etc, but doing housework cuts into MN time and I was working this morning and didn't have time to post here, so I'm making the most of it!

tarantula · 26/10/2005 15:18

lol at monster costume. think we are having a quiet Halloween this year. Have got nothing planned so far. Think we'll have to sort out a nice fire and some chestnuts and marshmallows and of course jump the broomstick as usual.

Hope your daughter calls you soon Squirrel and that you manage to get things sorted. got fingers crossed for you that itll all be ok.

Squirrel3 · 26/10/2005 15:22

Thank you Tarantula, its been nearly a week, I haven't gone that long without seeing her and the grandchildren, unless I've been on holiday, but then I've always phoned her reguarly.

I really miss them.

NotActuallyAMum · 26/10/2005 15:24

I love halloween I get lots of sweets in for the kids too. My monster outfit has a blow-up frame which sits on my shoulders then the outfit goes over the top of it and I look about 6.5 feet tall I just love to see the look on the faces of the kids who knock at the door thinking that THEY are going to scare ME!!!

Squirrel3 · 26/10/2005 15:25

NAAM, you should take a pic of yourself in the monster outfit and add it to member profiles so we can all have a look!

tarantula · 26/10/2005 15:31

Great idea Squirrel. this is one Id really like to see.
