Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

He enthusiasticly told me about a wonderful job as a party organiser.

I looked a bit closer and it was for Ann Summers, I turned to him straight-faced and said "I don't think my Church would approve, can you imagine them finding out what their Sunday School teacher did for a living!"

NotActuallyAMum · 29/09/2005 13:37

LOL

Would have loved to see the look on his face! I take it you turned the job down???

NannyNooNoo · 29/09/2005 13:47

Of course I did, he then proceeded to offer me a job in a Salsa Dance studio!!!!!!!

To be honest, I don't think he could see past my boobs and blonde hair!!!!!

I swear to God its true, it could only happen to me, I've been going to college for the past year doing all kinds of advanced computer courses and he can only offer me these types of jobs!?!

Been trying to find the jobs on their web-site to prove it but no luck as yet, when I find them I'll post the links.

NannyNooNoo · 29/09/2005 15:34

Can't find them, well, haven't tried too hard to find them TBH.

Where is everybody today?

NotActuallyAMum · 29/09/2005 15:50

Good question NNN

Bet they're all having to do some work - not like me, lazy devil as usual

NannyNooNoo · 29/09/2005 16:02

Work?

Whats that?

tarantula · 29/09/2005 16:03

Im here and working far too hard

NannyNooNoo · 29/09/2005 16:04

Hello Tarantula

How are you?

NotActuallyAMum · 29/09/2005 16:11

PMSL at that NNN

I've gone downhill fast today - got a pig of a cold . Some kind person has just told me I look like someone's smacked me on the nose cos it's so red! And earlier this afternoon someone said "hey rudolph, you're way too early!"

NannyNooNoo · 29/09/2005 16:21

Awwww poor you NAAM,

I'm really tired the step-kids kept me awake half the night, don't ask me why but they decided to swap bedrooms in the middle of the night!!!!!!

I turned to dp and asked "what are they doing"?

"Don't know, and unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it" he said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was fumming, I would have gone out and asked them what they thought they were doing and told them off but after what happened last week I thought I'd only get accused of being a wicked step-mum again!

I did voice my dis-pleasure at that remark to dp today and he agreed he should've done something, particuarlly as they were so tired we had a real struggle to get them up and off to school this morning!!!!!

Its ok, end of rant!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 29/09/2005 16:32

Why can they never see that their children are doing wrong?? It really makes me mad

My dsd had two of her friends round last week, took them into our bedroom, went into my wardrobe and the three of them looked through my CDs to see which ones they wanted to play!!! Grrrrr

NannyNooNoo · 29/09/2005 16:35

I would go mad if my step-kids did that I would be so our bedroom is my place of santuary, they know that they are not allowed in there without permission.

GGGGGrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 29/09/2005 16:42

I quite agree NNN, that's supposed to be the case with me too - dsd has been told time and time again that she's not supposed to go into our room but she takes no notice. Last week tho DP did get quite mad at her for that - going in there herself is one thing but taking two other people in with her who are complete strangers to me is another. This may sound really stupid but I felt like I'd been burgled - my CDs are in an "open plan" type of area of my wardrobe and there's some very private stuff in there.

DP doesn't get mad with her (or anyone else!) very often tho so hopefully this time she'll realise he means it and do as she's told. But if she doesn't I'll keep grumbling at DP until she does....Even if I have to get mad myself - which I never do either cos I'm a very nice person (honest)

NannyNooNoo · 29/09/2005 16:44

But NAAM, you can't be a nice person, you are a Step-mum did you not read the job description!!!!!!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 29/09/2005 16:50

PMSL

Hmmm, that's an interesting thought - job description for Stepmums....we could do our own couldn't we??

NannyNooNoo · 29/09/2005 16:56

Could be a laugh!!

Who's going to start?

Maybe we should start a new thread? (maybe tommorrow though, give us all time to think)

NotActuallyAMum · 29/09/2005 17:00

Definitely - good idea

I'm off home now, speak to you tomorrow

Can't wait to see this list.....

NannyNooNoo · 30/09/2005 15:19

BTW, I arrived home from college to find a message on the answer phone from a IT training company asking me if I would be interested in a position as an IT tutor!!!!

Bit better than an Ann Summers party organiser eh?

NotActuallyAMum · 30/09/2005 15:44

Ooohh, that sounds posh NNN!

That'd look great on your CV too - better than topless fishing - LOL

tarantula · 30/09/2005 16:00

Cool NNN you can come here and train all the people I have to work with (not the ones in my actual office as they are IT bods but the rest of the almost totally computer illiterate people in my building)

NotActuallyAMum · 30/09/2005 16:08

NNN {{{hugs for you all on Monday}}}

I finish at half 4 today, just wanted to wish you well for Monday - hope everything goes well and they give you all some more good news

I'll be thinking about you all xxx

NannyNooNoo · 03/10/2005 09:27

Thank you NAAM,

DD is now going with her on/off DP, he has decided that he wants to go and as I can't stand the waste of space and he can't stand me, I'm staying here and looking after DGS...

But the 'up' side is I get to talk to you! (that is if dgs lets me, he really loves the cbeebies web-site and I might not get a look in!

p.s I have got my lovely new computer!!!!!!!

I've got a new computer, I've got a new computer! Ner, ner, ner, ner ner! there'll be no stopping me now!!!!!!!!

NotActuallyAMum · 03/10/2005 09:46

Ooohhh! A new computer

DP and I are looking into getting a laptop at home, but I've warned him that if we do I'll be on here a lot

Fingers crossed today for your dgd xx

Got a bit of a hangover today - had a few drinks at home last night. Don't know why but when I've got a hangover I'm always really, really hungry - I could eat for England!
