Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

yeah Im off in a min Just rung BM to tell her to make sure to kick them out the door so they dont miss the train they have missed it the last 3 timees and left me standing waiting. Men eh!! So glad I can ring her up for things liek that it makes life sooo much easier.

Well I hope the party is good and that the babe doesnt start to arrive half way through. Ill keep an eye out for an announcement over the weekend. Take care and have fun and enjoy your 'quality time' with Dp

Squirrel3 · 10/06/2005 16:58

Sam, you must let us know when you are likely to be on here so that we can try to 'get together' and have a proper chat.

Speak soon.

tarantula · 13/06/2005 13:27

Anyone round? Squirrel ANY NEWS????????

Squirrel3 · 13/06/2005 13:45

Just got back from college, eating my lunch (a boring salad).

No, no news really, apart from the fact that she is in labour!!!!!!

Its not as exciting as it seems, she has been in labour since Friday evening (so no, dp and I didn't get to spend some quality time with each other).

dd started to panic Friday evening because the baby hadn't moved all day so I advised her to phone the labour ward, they wanted her to go in to be monitored, so in she went, got strapped up to the monitor. As soon as the monitors went on the baby kicked it!! Whilst there dd had some pains which she thought were braxton hicks but the midwife said that she was in labour (about half way!) She was told to go home and come back when the pains were stronger. Her dp was working nights so he went to work and dd stayed with me, dd could phone her dp and he could meet her at the hospital if it happened. But it didn't happen!!!!

No baby yet, dd's very tired, her dp and I are taking it in turns to be with her, but not much is happening, any suggestions?

tarantula · 14/06/2005 10:56

IN LABOUR SINCE FRIDAY???? Christ all mighty but that long. I hope things are going ok and the baba is here by now. Ill try to keep checking the threads today for your name and do put a birth annoucment out. Only thing I can suggest is my usual medicine for all ills VINO. Will be thinking about your daughter till I hear from you

tarantula · 14/06/2005 10:58

Just found your other thread to Squirrel. Keeping my figers crossed for your dd.

Squirrel3 · 14/06/2005 12:18

Hello tarantula, the labour has stopped!!! dd saw the midwife and she told her that the baby has popped out of the pelvis back up into the womb and decided that she is not ready after all!!!! All the time the baby isn't distressed they are just going to let nature take its course. dd's really fed-up now,

tarantula · 14/06/2005 12:24

Am gobsmacked Dunno what to say!!!! After all that.

Squirrel3 · 14/06/2005 12:51

Yep! I thought that once labour started it didn't stop, they don't seem worried though, so we are back to waiting again. When it does happen we won't believe it until we actually see the baby!

SadSam · 27/06/2005 11:31

Hi Squirrel, Tarantula etc. I am back! Squirrel please see my message to you on your other thread about your grand daughter / grandfather.

Thank you Sadsam they have decided to call her Lea

Surfermum · 27/06/2005 13:16

She is so gorgeous Squirrel. And beautiful hair. You must be very proud and I'm feeling very broody!

Squirrel3 · 27/06/2005 13:34

Thank you Surfermum, she is very beautiful, looks just like dd did when she was born (dd has done modeling part-time, only her face as she is very short due to her spinal probs, but her face is stunning)

They must take after me!!! lol

ninah · 27/06/2005 13:36

Hello squirrel
Baby lea is a beauty! how are you?

Squirrel3 · 27/06/2005 13:44

A bit better thank you ninah, I spoke to dp, he is being a bit more suportive, after I'd visited GD on Saturday I just broke down and cried it all out, think it shocked dp as I try to keep it under control most of the time but I just couldn't on this occasion.

He was supportive and careing for the rest of the day but the following day it was 'business as usual' and he invited his parents around for dinner at the last minute and sat back and let me do all of the work as he wasn't feeling very well.....AAAAAAARRRRGH!!

SadSam · 27/06/2005 13:45

Hi Squirrel, omg Lea is absolutely beautiful!!!! and like Surfermum I too am feeling very broody!! Lol

Im so pleased that everything went well and she is healthy and dd is doing well. Are things going between you and your DP now?

OP posts:
SadSam · 27/06/2005 13:47

Sorry Squirrel messages crossed. So sorry to hear things are still not going too well. Have you tried writing/typing a letter to your DP and telling him exactly how you feel? I did this a while back (about 3 pages long) but it did seem to make him understand how I was feeling a little bit better than if I talked to him.

OP posts:
ninah · 27/06/2005 13:49

Good, glad you could let dp see how upset you are. That's the problem with always being the one in control, it's very hard to let go and be the one needing instead of the one giving. Even a little bit of understanding goes a long way though, doesn't it. How is your grandad, still very sick I assume, hope you can spend time with him. Is he aware, and able to share news about Lea etc?

Squirrel3 · 27/06/2005 13:54

Sam, try reading my thread in the relationships section "don't know who is being more selfish him or me?" it will explain why writing to him is no good for me (sorry its too long and sad to go into here)

I really hope that the probs with your step childrens BM can be resolved quickly then you can have your own baby, you will make such a great mum.

Squirrel3 · 27/06/2005 13:57

ninah, Gd is still very unresponsive but I am hanging on to the fact that when I told him about Lea I'm sure he smiled and looked proud (after all he is a great great grandad!)

ninah · 27/06/2005 14:06

great great grandad, respect! that's good to hear. xxNinah

SadSam · 27/06/2005 14:09

Squirrel, just read your other thread. Sorry I duplicated what someone had always said.

I hope you manage to talk things through with DP and things get better for you. Lots of love and hugs xxx
