Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

Hello!

tarantula · 04/07/2005 15:49

Hello Hows things with you?

Squirrel3 · 04/07/2005 16:23

Hello tarantula, I'm ok, I was reading your post again about the flight home. Maybe a silly question, how scared was you?

tarantula · 04/07/2005 16:35

Actually I wasnt really that scared because it was nowhere near as bad as when I went home for my granddads funeral and also all the bucking actually makes me feel less sick than I normally do (how wierd is that??). Was more panicing that we'd miss our bus home and have to take two buses which take twice as long and I was tired enough as it was without that on top too or that wed get diverted to another airport which would have been hell. Was sooooo thankful that dd wasnt old enough to be scared either.

How the new grandchild getting on? Everything going ok there? And hows your grandad? And everthing ok with your dp?

Squirrel3 · 04/07/2005 16:58

One question at a time please my poor little brain can't cope.

I had a brain-wave as far as Grandad goes, (it does work sometimes), he is very religious and was a Salvation Army Officer and we (my uncle and myself) had organised for the local Sally army band to play and have an 'open air meeting' outside his window at the home, he loved it and smiled and perked up a bit. This got me thinking and I got a CD player and CD's of hymns ect and whenever I leave I put one on for him to listen to, (I've also asked the staff to put one on occasionally for him too) he seems to really enjoy it.

Lea is beautiful

Things are still strained with dp but we are trying to rebuild what we had, events lately have really harmed our relationship and we both need to work to put things right.

tarantula · 04/07/2005 17:12

so glad to hear your grandad perked up a bit with the music that was a fantastic idea!! Im sure Lea is a wee dote and you are a totally doting grannie . Keep working on dp and Im sure things will get better. Ive been havign some bad times with my dp too. we are going to sit down tonigth and try and talk through a few things. Anyway time for me to head. Have a good evening.

SadSam · 05/07/2005 11:34

tarantula · 05/07/2005 12:44

Squirrel3 · 05/07/2005 12:48

Actually, (going back to your airplane ride) Before I met DP I'd never been on an airplane because I was a single mum who couldn't work (because of dd) I couldn't afford holidays abroad so when I met dp and he wanted to take me I was soooooo excited!

DP hates flying but he couldn't stop smiling at me because I loved it (see he is sweet really), I'm desperate to go again but think I need to rob a bank first .

SadSam · 05/07/2005 13:07

Hi Squirrel, hi Tarantula. I know the feeling Squirrel, I desperately need a holiday this year, but for reason you already know, it just aint gonna happen!
