Howdy!!!! Squirrel 3 and I have decided that as we are a bit nutty, we'd like to set up the Nutty Stepmum's Club or NSC. If anyone would like to join us, please add to this post and prove that we are not the only nutters out there!

We would like to add a little bit more nuttyness to our already insane lives!!!!

Hello,

Grandad was moved into a home, he is medically stable now and there is nothing more they can do for him in hospital so it was decided that a home (24hr care) was the best thing for him. Hopefully my mother will now get back on her broomstick and fly away for a while and give me some more quality time with him.

Now back to a peviously discussed problem...

Aaaarrrrghhh! Yuk, yuk. yuk...

SS did it again!! 'icky' boxers.

I know its not his fault but why does he 'hide' them in his bed? He knows I make the bed and wash the sheets ect. He must know I find them...

OMG!!!!!!!

I've just realised....

When SS's not there and DP's snoring........

I SLEEP IN THAT BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tarantula · 29/04/2005 09:38

Oh thanks. Just eating my brekkie and that has put me right off my saus sandwich

squirrel3 · 29/04/2005 09:39

tarantula · 29/04/2005 09:40

Its ok tho Im sure Ill manage to choke it down one way or another.

squirrel3 · 29/04/2005 09:43

How are you today tarantula?

Apart from choking on your brekkie.

tarantula · 29/04/2005 09:46

Im fine got a busy weekend ahead as got dss over and 2 of my sisters are coming over from Ireland as well so going to have a full house. Its gonna be a nutty weekend

Glad to hear your Grandad is a bit better too. Hope you get to spend some time with him on your own without your mum interfering.

squirrel3 · 29/04/2005 09:49

Hope you've got your big knicks at the ready then!

Sounds like a fun weekend though, how often do you get to see your sisters?

tarantula · 29/04/2005 09:59

I went home for my dads birthday 3 weeks ago so saw all the family then except one sis whos in Aus atm (shes doing a years travelling). All three of my younger sisters have been off galivanting over the past two years lucky sods so I havent seen much of them at all but hopefully will see lots more now. they are total doting aunties where dd is concerned (1st child of the next generation, tho not for long as bro has one on the way which gives me a good excuse to fly over soon)

Ps Ive got a broomstick if you want to brrow it for your mum. The goblins have just finished mending it and its in tip top condition guarenteed to drop her home and then brush aside any thoughts she might have of coming back

squirrel3 · 29/04/2005 10:06

I've got two brothers, one older and one younger. unfortunately I lost contact with my older brother years ago and I don't know where he lives now (another long sad story, all down to my witch of a mother). My younger brother lives quite close but sadly we hardly ever see each other, don't really know why (think it just brings back painfull memories of our childhood).

I'd love to have a close family like yours seems to be, even though you haven't seen much of them lately I bet when you do you'll have a brilliant time!!

squirrel3 · 29/04/2005 10:17

Anyway its a lovely sunny day in Kent and DP and I bought some plants for the garden yesterday and they are 'calling' for me to put them into the garden so I'll speak to you later.

If I don't catch you later, I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

tarantula · 29/04/2005 11:50

Have fun planting your plants Dp is out in the garden this morning tending the veggies. cnat wait for them to grow so we can have lovely fresh veggies for dinner yum

tarantula · 29/04/2005 15:39

How did the planting go Squirrel?

squirrel3 · 29/04/2005 15:50

My garden's looking all pretty now! My hands are not though, thought I'd better do some weeding before putting in plants and my hands are covered in scratches and cuts!!! Ouch!!

Still the weather's lovely, can't wait until the summer, DP's parents have a big swimming pool and a sauna in their garden and they spend half of the year in America. So take a guess where we go for the summer?

That's my cue for another bad joke;

telephone rings
"Hello?"
"Hi, honey, this is Daddy .... Is your Mommy near the phone?"
"No,Daddy.
She's upstairs in the bedroom with Uncle Frank." After a brief pause,
Daddy says, "But you haven't got an Uncle Frank, honey!"
"Oh Yes, I do, and he's upstairs in the bedroom with Mommy, right now!"
"Uh, Okay, then ... here's what I want you do. Put down the phone, run upstairs and knock on the bedroom door and shout to Mommy and Uncle Frank that Daddy's car's just pulled up outside the house." "Okay, Daddy!"

A few minutes later, the little girl comes back to the phone.
"Well, I did what you said, Daddy."
"And what happened?" he asks. "Well, Mommy got all scared, jumped out of bed with no clothes on and ran around screaming, then she tripped over the rug and went flying out the front window and now she's dead."
"Oh my God!!!!! And what about Uncle Frank?"
"He jumped out of bed with no clothes on too and he was all scared and he jumped out the back window into the swimming pool ... but he must have forgotten that last week you took
out all the water to clean it, so he hit the bottom of the swimming pool and now he's dead too.
There is a long pause Then Daddy says,
"Swimming pool???? Is this 555-7039?"

gotta go home now have a good weekend all.

squirrel3 · 03/05/2005 08:54

Good morning nutters, I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend.

Tarantula, hope your sisters visit was a nutty one!

My weekend was really good, Saturday we just did some gardening and a bit of DIY, we have got a fishing boat so we went out to 'play' Sunday, the weather was glorious the sea was calm and we caught loads of big fish, (got a freezer full of fish now) Monday we visited DP's parents in the morning (they're just back from America for a little while) in the afternoon we had a barbieQ and a couple of bottles of wine.

It was just a really nice relaxing weekend, and we spent time on our own with no kids, think we needed it...

Ahhhh... think I'm falling in love with him all over again....

squirrel3 · 04/05/2005 15:09

Ok, so the weekend was the calm before the storm.

Where is everybody? Sadsam, Reflection where are you?

Hope you are all OK.

I saw This on another thread and thought it was funny, so I 'stole' it! Tee hee!

tarantula · 04/05/2005 15:49

Hey squirrel dunno where all the other nutty SMs are. Had a lovely weekend with my sisters It was great. things not so good with BM tho as dp rang to say when hed be over but she wasnt in and didnt turn up till 2 hours later cos dhe was out sunning herself and drinking beer. I was fuming cos dp had dd with him and it was very hot. Luckily he had water etc with him and they went to the park. Itll not happen again cos Ive told dp thatll hell have to go pick dss up in the evenings instead. Im raging that she could see nothing wrong with dd having to hang round for two hours after a long train journey to get there. ggggrrrrrrrr.

tarantula · 04/05/2005 15:49

love te llammas BTW think they are great

squirrel3 · 04/05/2005 15:59

Is there ever a time when things do well with BM's? They always seem to get right up your nose don't they? No consideration, Grrrrrr!!!

You've got me going now, BM no2 (the mad one) phoned DP yesterday and obviously he wasn't thinking to clearly because he gave her his credit card details!!!!!!!!!!!

We had bought SS2 a new top and the stitching had come undone so she was taking it back and she said she needed DP's credit card details so that the money could be put back. Don't know if I trust her, gonna check the credit card statement very carefully this month....

and next month....

and the month after....

tarantula · 04/05/2005 16:21

blimey yeah def need to check them carefully. Oh the fun of step parenting eh.

SadSam · 04/05/2005 17:42

Hi fellow nutters, sorry I havent been on here for a while, Im afraid I am having a major hard time with BM at the moment and things have got very nasty! Access now has to be arranged through a solicitor as she is refusing to arrange it with DP. Apparently he is not having them frequenty enough (once a month due to the 640 mile round trip to get them) and is always dropping them back early (we take them back at about 4pm to leave time to drive all the way back home, have tea, drop into bed exhausted ready for work next day)!

This is now going to cost us around £150 + VAT each time because she has instructed her solicitor that she wants no contact at all with us about contact with the skids! Its okay for her, afterall she has got legal aid so it doesnt cost her a bloody penny!!! (mind you if they knew that she wasnt exactly entitled to legal aid as she is working)!!! god it makes me so angry is there no lengths she will stop at???

LooptheLoop · 04/05/2005 18:50

Sadsam - sorry to hear you're having such an infuriating time. Sounds like she's bullying to get her own way - if you don't do it my way, you can't see the kids at all.... . Just curious - I'm assuming she's not rejecting your child maintainance at the same time????

tarantula · 05/05/2005 12:36

Jsut dropped into this thread quickly. So sorry to hear about the problems you are haivng SS. thats really bad. guess Im lucky really all the problems I ahve are smll niggly ones compared to what most of the rest of you deal with. Hope things get sorted out soon

squirrel3 · 05/05/2005 15:03

Oh Sam, what gives the BM's the right to treat the father of their children like this, not to mention what it must be doing to the kids. Its about time the BM started to put the children first and stoped using them to get her own way!!! GRRRRRRRR!!!!!

That's really wound me up, how would she like it if it were reversed and she was the one fighting for the right to see her children?!

I really feel for you {hug}, please let us know how you get on and HAVE A RANT!! It might help you to feel better and there may be someone who has experienced similar and they might have some advice for you, I'm sorry I can't give you advice because I haven't 'been there'... yet.

SadSam · 05/05/2005 15:57

Thank you Loop the Loop, Tarantula and Squirrel. It is driving me crazy with anger we have an appointment with the solicitor tomorrow and I can just see our funds draining before we even start.

Loop, all maintenance is done through the CSA as she is "not working" - yeah right, not including the cash in hand jobs she does!!! So yeah shes still happy to get paid left right and centre.

She is turning the kids against DP big time! He hasn't spoken to them for nearly a month and they used to ring up at least once or twice a week! It breaks my heart!

But the thing that upsets me the most is that DP just buries his head in the sand and wont talk about it. I know he is upset and worried, but he doesn't like talking about it whereas I do. What he has made clear though is that he hates her guts and he is telling the solicitor that from now on he wants NO CONTACT whatsoever with her unless it is a dire medical emergency regarding the kids. She has dug such a big hole for herself now!!!!!
