Hi granny,
It is important.
I think everybody feels regret and or guilt about something when it comes to being a mother.
Guilt comes with the territory.
I waited 'till i had a nursing career, a husband and our own house before having children.
But as soon as dd1 was here i decided that i couldn't continue with my career.

Also, as my 2 daughters have got older i have chosen to be there for them when they are not at school. I have done shitty jobs for the last 5 years to make ends meet.
Dh has worked bloody hard to become a nurse manager.....we recently downsized house to save money........but still we can't afford the trips to disneyland.
I am not complaining 'cos ive chosen to ditch my career to be here with dds.
I know that if i were to work full time and make use of my qualification we would be so much better off.......but i will wait 'till my girls are no longer children.

Getting back to SD, i'm not sure that she can see that far ahead.
She is fixated on the whole baby fantasy.
