No, I'm getting worried, they said they were waiting for references, I can't see that being a problem, but I was unhappy at my last job so maybe they are refusing a reference. [worried emoticon]

Maybe I should phone them and chase up the references, what do you think?

I think I probably would ring them Squirrel. Its been over a week since they offered you the job hasnt it? (or am I loosing track of time?). Might be good to contact them show that you are really keen and interested still.

Just phoned them, the personnel manager has been off sick so hasn't been able to sort out the paperwork, she is going to pop it in the post today so I should know soon. Phew!

Got to admit I was getting worried.

Also phoned the old work place and there will be no problem with a reference, they seemed genuinly pleased to hear from me and wish me well!

It's clouded over here now, still dry and very warm though so not complaining

DPs gran was taken to hospital yesterday she's got a kidney infection. Poor dear looks so ill, really hope she's going to be OK. She's hardly eaten for 3 days and she's frail at the best of times. Fingers and everything else crossed that she'll be OK. We're going to see her again later

DPs gran looked sooooo much better last night, thanks both of you She looked like 'her' again iyswim, big relief to us all. She thinks she's going home today - don't know where she's had that from, wishful thinking we reckon LOL

What's everyone up to at the weekend? It's DPs weekend off I'm going out tonight with my workmates - first time for aaaaages, we're having a BBQ tomorrow night after the football (and a drink or two!) and we're taking PIL out for dinner on Sunday

Whoooopie! Dp (after much nagging from me and me thrusting camp-site details into his hand as he left for work this morning) has at last booked our holiday!!!!

It looks like a nice holiday park, there are teen clubs where they can join in a movie maker club, A DJ workshop, sports competitions (just down dss's street, sport mad that one!) and talent shows. There is lazer combat and lazer clay pigeon shooting for him too, three swimming pools (one has a giant 200ft waterslide!) All we need is the weather to stay like this and I will be a very happy Squirrel!

I'm glad dp's Gran is better Naam.

Dss told me that he loved me this weekend!!!!!

Well sort off, dp and I were out fishing on the boat on Saturday and dp had asked dss to txt him the football goals. Dp's phone battery died so I phoned dss to txt them on my phone. During the match he sent a txt to say it was 0-0, and "don't you wish you was watching football even though you hate it x".

ME: Awww, was that little x on the end for me or your Dad? See I knew you loved me really!"

DSS: "I always put x's on the end of my txts, dont feel special or anything! lol"

ME: Boo hoo! Now you have gone and shattered all of my illusions!

DSS: Awwwww, I do love you really!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, everybody has been abducted by aliens?!?!!!!!

No just by a software package. Its taken over my soul. Help me someone please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. We did, had dsd's two friends to stay for the first time, it went well. We've gained another one to come on holiday with us! Seemed unfair to leave her out seeing as the 3 of them hang around together

But....I do not want to talk about football!! [sob]

Why? Did we lose? Are we out of the cup thingy?

BTW Naam, make sure you don't take on too much!

You will be running around after them so much you will need another holiday to get over it!
