OOPS!!!!

60th birthday!! Grin

FIL would murder me if he saw that!!!

Squirrel3 · 19/06/2006 13:52

I'm sure things could be resolved with her Nan by then, so don't worry about it.

Ds has arrived back from Southampton so I have to go into town to help him buy a pressie for Lea. Why are men so useless, why can't he go into town and choose a pressie on his own? Mind you he would probably come back with an Action Man if he did! Wink

Talk to you later. Smile

Oooohhh Squirrel!! Well done you!!!! Grin Do give us more info Grin Where? When? What?

Happy birthday to little Lea, give her a big kiss from me Smile

Squirrel3 · 20/06/2006 11:32

Well, ages ago I went for an interview and I came a very close second (but didn't get the job), anyway the person who did get the job didn't work out so they offered it to me.

They also noted that I had applied for several positions within the company and that I did have several interviews coming up, would I still be going to those interviews? I told them I would be very happy to accept the job offer and I would not be attending the other interviews.

It saves me the hassle of trying to find out which interview is for what job! The job I was offered today is the better job anywayso I am a very happy squirrel today. Grin

I will give Lea a big kiss and a cuddle from you Naam. Smile

Glad Lea's having a nice birthday Squirrel Smile

ooohh alligator, 'family invasion' doesn't sound good! Hope the weather's nice then at least you can send some of them outside Grin

Squirrel3 · 20/06/2006 13:59

Alligator, I know you will have a lovely time, I guess its your sisters coming over. You will prob have loads of guiness and chat loads and loads.

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 20/06/2006 14:01

They will get well and truly drunk, then you can throw them out into the garden (they won't mind if it is raining) Wink

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 20/06/2006 14:51

lol Squirrel - yes that's true, they won't care if they get wet once they're drunk. Or 'flootered' as alligator says Grin

Squirrel3 · 20/06/2006 15:06

'flootered' I really like that word.....

Shall we get \link{http://www.kathwalker-illustration.co.uk/folios/k_work/drunk-at-work-1_h.jpg\flootered} now?

\link{http://dragonneo.com/malathar/rough/drunk-welsh-dragon-paintball.jpg\This} must be alligator!

(yes, yes, yes, I know its a dragon, but use your imagination and it could be a drunk alligator! Wink)

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 20/06/2006 15:26

PMSL Grin

Getting flootered sounds tempting, very tempting in fact....

Bet FANC is sunning herself now, lucky bugger. Hope she's having a good time

Wonder where everyone else is? Loopy, surfermum and workingmumnhs haven't been on for ages, hope they're OK

Squirrel3 · 20/06/2006 15:36

Surfermum is probably camping by the Sea in Devon, catching a few waves and partying with some hunky lifeguards. Envy

Don't know about workingmum, hope she is ok.

I'm really Envy of FAnc too, hope she is having a lovely time.

I'll be going away the end of July to Cornwall for two weeks with the kids (I hope we have nice weather, nearly every holiday we have had the weather has been against us, lets hope this year its different).

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 20/06/2006 15:55

That'll be nice - Cornwall is lovely. DP has never been, we said we might go one day. Trouble is to get down to the 'bottom end' of Cornwall from here it's about a 6 hour drive, far too long for a weekend

We go back to Ingoldmells again 4 weeks on Saturday Grin didn't realise it was so close. dsd is coming with us this time though, and we're taking her friend with us. I didn't really want to take her friend tbh - I'm still getting used to having dsd around without throwing another one into the equation LOL - but we figured that if we take her friend then we don't have to go round the arcades/fair - we won't be far away (in the pub!) so they'll be fine to go on their own

Fingers crossed for good weather for us both Grin

alligator · 20/06/2006 16:01

PMSL at the thought of my mum getting pissed and standing in the rain. She quite proper my mum and worst I've ever seen her is a bit giggly on 2 glasses of wine Grin

Yes the family 'invasion' is 3 of my sisters and my mum (6 women and dp in a 2 up 2 down..poor dp). Mum's baby sitting Sat night (hurrah) so we are all going t'pub for a grand piss up. Hope the weather holds up cos we are thinking of going to the coast on Saturday.

Wish I was camping by the sea now Envy Cant wait for Aug. I wanna go NOW!!!!

Squirrel3 · 20/06/2006 16:02

I sometimes think it would be nicer for dss to bring a friend along when we go on holiday but if we did dsd would have to bring one too then we would have four kids to look after and pay for so its not going to happen.

I told dss that he'd better just make a friend on the camp site because if he didn't I would go up to every teenager on the site and ask them if they would be his friend, and if there were any likely teenage girls I would go up to them and say "dss fancies you!"

He wouldn't cringe much would he? [evil grin]

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 20/06/2006 16:04

Alligator, your poor dp, all of them women - talk about out numbered!!!!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 20/06/2006 16:08

You two are sooooo brave going camping - I wouldn't even consider it. I do like the freedom of being in a caravan though

alligator you must be a bit of a drive from the coast too. I'd love to live by the sea....

LOL at squirrel and 'dss fancies you' Grin

Can't wait to see DPs face if dsd and friend find some boys to hang around with, he'll go loopy Grin
