It ok, managed to get it sorted, its going to take nearly two hours traveling though!! Shock

The actual place where I will be working is within walking distance of my home but the interview is miles away! Not looking forward to it in this heat wearing a suit! Still its an interview, wish me luck? [nervous grin]

Posts crossed alligator, hope you are ok.

Dss did something to my computer over the weekend, I had to delete him as a user, wonder what would happen if I started a thread stating that over the weekend I deleted my Step-Son! lol

I'm sorry, I won't be about much today (because of the interview) as soon as I get back I will log on if you need to chat.

Hello, hope you had a lovely holiday Naam.

Its Lea's Birthday tomorrow! How quick has that year flown by?

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 19/06/2006 11:43

Hello Squirrel Smile

Had a lovely time thank you, went too quick though - doesn't it always?? I really did miss dsd though, which I think is a good thing, and she said she'd missed both us of too which was nice

Can't believe Lea is 1 tomorrow Shock that has gone soooooo quick

How are you? Have you heard anything from the job yet? Good luck for Thursday's interview Smile

Squirrel3 · 19/06/2006 11:52

Didn't get the job, never mind hopefully I'll get the next one, just been researching it and I know quite alot about the company ect. Trouble is, I have applied for 5 jobs within this company and I'm not sure which one it is I have the interview for! Blush I am trying to find out, can you imagine going in for an interview not really knowing which job it is you are being interviewed for? So typical of me. Blush

Btw, my brother arrives home from getting married abroad today; we have 'decorated' their house and car with flags, balloons and banners saying 'just married', you can hardly see the house. Grin

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 19/06/2006 12:18

That's the kind of think I'd about the interview Squirrel Smile

Sounds lovely about your brother's house Smile where did he get married? We're still no further forward with ours, tbh I really don't think we can afford it next year

NotActuallyAMum · 19/06/2006 12:25

btw that's good news about your driving test Smile can't wait to hear you've passed, you'll be fine

Squirrel3 · 19/06/2006 12:34

Naam, about the driving test, it was the new instructor who told me to put in for my test (remember the old instructor was a crap teacher but I liked his car but the new instructor was a great teacher but I didn't like driving the car), well I had a lesson with the old instructor on saturday and I was going to tell him I was putting in for my test but he p-ed me off big time even before we got to the end of my road and I told him to stick his lesons where the 'sun doesn't shine' and I am just going to stick with the new instructor. I will get used to the car and I will put in for my test quite soon.

Don't know how many attempts it will take me to pass though. Wink

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 19/06/2006 12:38

Dp was really shocked that I got so angry with the instructor, I told the instuctor that I was just throwing my money away having him give me lessons, he had shouted at me once too often and he can stick his lessons up his ! Shock

Dp said "But you don't get really angry like that and start shouting at people!", I replied "Well I do now!".......

Dp has been very careful around me since. Wink

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 19/06/2006 12:48

You'll be fine, trust me Grin And you really will get used to the car in time

I hate the first day back after a holiday!! When I have time off I always come back to a big pile of work that someone else could have done and I always get inundated with questions that people could have asked someone else while I was away!!! GRRRRR!!!!!

DP had an irate phone call from BM while we were away saying we weren't looking after dsd properly and he was "sweeping her under the carpet" All because she was staying at PILs for the week! (BMs mum had told her) She had a go at him too because dsd has geen going round to her DPs ex-wife's house. We actually didn't know dsd had been there - the house is near to PILs - but we don't have a problem with it. I can kind of see why BM doesn't like it - if I had children I wouldn't want them going to BMs house - but we think she's got a cheek complaining about anything tbh seeing as she hasn't even bothered to contact her dd for nearly 7 weeks!!

NotActuallyAMum · 19/06/2006 12:50

x posts there Squirrel, LOL about your DP being careful Grin

I don't do shouting either, DP doesn't know that though Wink

Squirrel3 · 19/06/2006 12:54

OMG! Shock How can she do that? What a cheek! Shock

Her BM hasn't seen or had any contact with her for 7 weeks and she wants to lay the law down!!!

Words fail me!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 19/06/2006 13:01

That's what we thought Squirrel, glad you agree Smile We've actually both learned not to let her get to us now, hasn't been easy but DP just puts the phone down on her Grin

dsd is still absolutely adamant that she doesn't want to see or speak to her. DP still asks her sometimes but it seems her mind's made up. BM has been causing trouble between her mum and dsd now too Sad so dsd isn't speaking to her nan atm. Honestly she's worse than a child - keeps ringing her mum up and saying "dd has said this to so-and-so" then dsd's nan rings her up and has a go at her. We don't know of course if dsd has said these things or not but even so, we can't believe how childish BMs being

Squirrel3 · 19/06/2006 13:15

She sounds like she would be happy in a school playground tbh.

If she wants to know what her dd has been saying why not talk to her direct.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 19/06/2006 13:26

Exactly! And tbh I think dsd's nan is almost as bad - if I was her I'd tell my dd not to be so childish and get on the phone to her dd. But as I've said before, her nan thinks it's dsd's responsibility to phone her mum. We still disagree and there's no way we're going to make dsd phone her. We have a bit of a problem now though, dsd was meant to be going to her nan's for the week at the end of August - DP and I are going away with PIL for FILs 80th birthday so now we either have to not go or take her with us, neither of which are the end of the world tbh but we do need to get it sorted quick
