mummyno2, when I was much younger I 'did' the Gladstonebury and Stonehenge festivals, this was back in the days when the toilets were just holes in the ground, ds tells me that there are even showers at this festival! Shock Funnily enough I can't remember much about them (must have a great time) Grin

Naam when is it you go off on your hols?

Hello mummyno2, glad you had a good holiday Smile

squirrel I'm going at 12 Grin can't wait Grin

alligator · 08/06/2006 11:16

lol SHOWERS at a festival. Whos got the time for that when there is so much else to be done. I missed the Stonehenge festivals but dp goes on (and on and on and on) about them and how little he remembers [innocent Grin]. Loved Glastonbury tho before they put up all the fences etc. ah the memories of those holes in the ground.

Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 11:18

Thought it was tomorrow (I'm a lazy cow who couldnt be bothered to scroll down to find out for sure) Blush

Have a great time won't you! Smile

NotActuallyAMum · 08/06/2006 11:23

All this talk of festivals, I've never been to one - think I must have lead a sheltered life Grin

Thanks squirrel Smile hope you manage to get things sorted

Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 11:40

Hope you have a lovely time Naam, we are going to miss you on here though.

Got to run, got a driving lesson, am I ever going to pass my test? I've been driving for over a year now but I haven't had a test yet, I might just book it, if I fail, I fail. On average these days it takes three attempts before you pass.

alligator · 08/06/2006 11:53

Have a great time Naam wish I was going off in 10 mins. Oh well I've got the joys of lunch in the canteen to look forward to today. Joy of joy.

NotActuallyAMum · 08/06/2006 11:54

Thank you Squirrel Smile

Hope your lesson goes well - of course you'll pass Grin

NotActuallyAMum · 08/06/2006 11:54

Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 13:38

Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 13:49

Some of those pedestrians just don't know how to run fast enough when they see a learner heading towards them! Wink

OP posts:
alligator · 08/06/2006 13:59

My horrible cat has just got a baby bird, it was trying to fly away from it, I managed to get the bird away from the cat, it doesn't look to injured just shocked. Obviously I haven't handled it with my hands, I picked it up with some leaves so that it didn't get my scent on it. I phoned dp, he has looked after loads of birds in his life and he told me to put it in a box, he is going to look at it this evening. He told me if it recovers enough by this evening we should get the cat in and put the bird up high in the tree and hope that the parents come to get it or he will teach me how to feed it and we will rear it until its old enough to be set free!!!!! Shock

I don't fancy hunting worms and feeding them to a young bird! But I do feel responsible, it was my cat!

alligator · 08/06/2006 16:45

lol pmsl at your mental image. Can you find a picture of that tho Now theres a challenge.

Ahhhhh poor wee birdie. Lets hope its parent come back for it. they might. otherwise I'm sure you'll make a fab mother bird Grin (pictures squirrel dressed up as bird roting in soil for worms)

alligator · 08/06/2006 16:48

\link{http://www.dodoland.com/storytellingjuly/chitose.jpg\here} you are Grin

Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 20:32

Oh poop! I can't get that link alligator.

I'm a little bit p**ed, had more crap news this evening, so I decided that a little drink (a bottle of veno) would help!

Hic, I love you guys. [drunk emoticon] Why don't we have a drunk emoticon? We need a drunk emoticon! Smile

Dp got a phone call on the way home from work from the firm that he gets 98% of his work from to tell him that in 6 weeks time there will be no more work! Shock

Dp employs both ds and dss, he knows that one of them will def have to go, he doesn't know if he will be able to keep on the other! The one he keeps on has to be dss really, he is doing so well kicking the drugs etc and is thriving (sp? got a humdinger of a hangover!) he may well go backwards if he loses his job. ds is better at the job because he has been doing it for much longer but dss 'needs' it much more iykwim. So when ds comes home from holiday we have to tell him that in 6 weeks time he will lose his job.

It also means that money is going to be really tight for us too (serve me right for thinking that I could relax a bit and only work part time).

Squirrel3 · 12/06/2006 08:31

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Smile

Got another interview today, trying to work out how to get there is causing major stress, don't know about the interview itself!

OP posts:
alligator · 12/06/2006 08:53

Crossed fingers for the interview squirrel Hope it goes really well.

I had a pretty crap weekend TBH. Might have been better if I could have ranted on here but I'd just started a thread on here when the computer blue screened. couldnt get it to reboot. Dss got it going (just) on Sunday but its snail pace esp internet. think I need to reinstall it. Bloody technology.
