NotActuallyAMum · 07/06/2006 14:31

Just been out for lunch, it's hot out there - looks like I picked the right week to go away Grin

Squirrel3 · 07/06/2006 15:22

Thank you, I'm ok, just a bit shocked still.

I'm really sorry I can't talk about it atm but I am very touched by your concern.

DS is going away camping with his girlfriend today, so I hope the weather holds out for him as well as you Naam. He is going to a music festival, talking about music, did I tell you that DS was at a train station (not local to us) when somebody came rushing up to him gushing "Oh wow man, you are the lead guitarist from 'such and such a band'! (can't give the name because it will give away my secret identity) "Can I have your autograph? Can't believe I have actually met you!" [proud mummy emoticon]

So glad to hear from you Squirrel, you don't have to apologise - we just wanted you to know we're here for you if you need us Smile

aawww how lovely for you and ds Smile I doubt I would have heard of the group anyway - from what you've said it doesn't sound like my kind of music Grin

Hope you're feeling better soon Smile

Squirrel3 · 07/06/2006 15:52

Its not my kind of music either, but it is nice that he is getting recognised, how will I ever cope as the mother of a famous rock star?

Morning all Smile Hope everyone's OK

Squirrel, hope you're feeling better Smile

Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 09:14

Hello, it is a lovely morning today.

Naam, dp is always winning things from them grabber machines, he gives them to me, I give them to dsd.

The postie brought two letters inviting me to interviews, one on the 12th and one on the 22nd, fingers crossed.

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 09:21

Posts crossed, I wouldn't say I am feeling better about things but I am coping thanks. (BTW, it is not health related, I just thought you may think that I'd found out something about my health, I'm not dying or anything so don't think that!)

alligator · 08/06/2006 09:24

Morning all. What a gorgeous day It was even warm as I leaving the house which was a surprise as there is normally a wee chill at that time. Its going to be a fab day. Pity I'm stuck in here Sad Wanna be down the park with dp and dd having a picnic and going on a caterpillar hunt Grin

alligator · 08/06/2006 09:26

thats great about the interviews Squirrel I'll keep my finger and toes crossed for you.

Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 09:27

Morning Alligator, Just to make you jealous, I might use ds's laptop and sit in the garden and MN all day in the sun. Wink

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 09:29

Both jobs are part-time (only 20 hours per week) but that suits me, dp is earning a bit more now so I don't have to bring in as much (lucky me!)

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 08/06/2006 09:41

alligator I'm with you on being stuck in the office - boo!! Only till 12 though for me Grin

squirrel I'm so glad you said it wasn't health related, I was thinking it might be. You are going to the doctors though now you're off work aren't you???

alligator · 08/06/2006 09:42

Pah well in that case I'm gonna stop trying to type with crossed fingers [sticks out tongue]. Enjoy the weather while you can.

Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 09:46

I can't really use ds's laptop, I wish I could but I still can't work out how to network them, they both recognise the router but they won't recognise eachother, I figure it may be the firewall, I may have to try to sort it out for him for when he gets back from his hols. Any ideas.

Yes, Naam I will be going to the dr's at some point, can't realy think about it atm.

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 08/06/2006 09:47

Obviously there was meant to be a ? after any ideas. Blush

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 08/06/2006 09:53

Can't your isp help squirrel? Don't know very much about them myself I'm afraid when it comes to technical stuff Blush

mummyno2 · 08/06/2006 10:59

Hello everyone. I see I'm just in time to wish Naam a good holiday. Came back from mine on Tuesday morning, with batteries fully recharged! Dsd's had a great time with my parents and their grandparents and were spoiled rotten by all! It was great to see them again Smile, can't believe how much I missed them.

Squirrel hope your hayfever is better today, mine is not too bad, have only sneezed about 10 times!!! Going back to an earlier post you made, I am sooo envious of your ds Envy. I went to the isle of wight festival last year and had a blast, wish I could of gone this year too! hope his set goes well.
