Well done FANC Grin

Love some of those dresses! Haven't even thought about what the bridesmaids are going to wear, in fact I don't even know how many I'm going to end up with yet! Then again I don't even know when the wedding is so I'll not stress about it Grin

I'm tired again today, I was up till gone midnight ironing last night. And I made dsd a playboy bed canopy - looks lovely even though I say so myself Grin

Haven't packed any things yet for the weekend, going to get DP and dsd to help me later - won't take long if we all do a bit

FruitAndNutcase · 02/06/2006 12:45

Ironing until gone midnight? bloody hell, I dont iron hardly any of my stuff, buy stuff that dont need it! Lol

You sound very creative making DSD that, I wouldnt even know where to start!

I bet you are really looking forward to the weekend? Make sure you do get DP and DSD to help though, you shouldnt have to do everything.

NotActuallyAMum · 02/06/2006 12:49

btw, keep forgetting to mention this....

DP and I have finally got round to doing our Wills. We've done them through hulababy's DH's article on the legal section. He's great - he sends a questionnaire to fill in then draws up the Will from your answers and sends a draft to check before the originals are drawn up, very little effort required! We had the Wills through yesterday, just need to find 2 witnesses now and it'll all be sorted. £110 +VAT which is very cheap - I phoned round local solicitors and was quoted between £280 and £460!! And because we're planning to get married he's written this into the Wills so we won't have to re-do them after we get married Smile

NotActuallyAMum · 02/06/2006 12:52

x posts there FANC Smile

Yes I'll certainly get them to help. Won't take much doing though in all fairness, we're only away for one night. Next week is another story though, 9 days worth of clothes and 6 days of school uniform for dsd. But it'll be worth it for 9 days away with DP Grin

FruitAndNutcase · 02/06/2006 12:57

God that does sound cheap for the wills NAAM, where did you find them from? Hulababys? Sorry probably reading it wrong! Lol

NotActuallyAMum · 02/06/2006 13:03

hulababy is a MNer, her DH is a solicitor specialising in Wills & Probate. \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/bigissues/makingawill.html\His article} tells you how to get in touch with him

FruitAndNutcase · 02/06/2006 13:08

Cool, I think I will opt for that, ill speak to DP tonight and try and persuade him. Did you say that you dont have to have it redone if you are planning to marry in the future? even if a date isnt set yet?

NotActuallyAMum · 02/06/2006 13:32

Yes that's right FANC. One of the questions says something like "Do you intend to marry in the near future?". I phoned him and said yes we do but don't know when - does it matter? And he said no it's not a problem, there's no time limit on it, it's simply a question of do you plan to get married because if you do he can write it into the Will to save you having to re-do it when you do get married

FruitAndNutcase · 02/06/2006 14:03

Thats brilliant, think ill have a word with DP tonight after a few beers! Lol

NotActuallyAMum · 02/06/2006 16:21

Squirrel3 · 05/06/2006 06:33

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 05/06/2006 10:18

Really glad you enjoyed your birthday Smile

My weekend was good thank you, hectic but good. The kids really enjoyed themselves too. Yesterday morning DP and I took them all for breakfast so that my brother could clean the caravan in peace. His 7yo ds2 came out of the loo in the cafe with his t-shirt pulled up over his nose and announced at the top of his voice "It stinks in there!" We just laughed, didn't know what else to do - we got some funny looks though Grin Could really do without being at work this week, got soooooo much to do before we go away

Your next interview is tomorrow isn't it? Hope it goes well Smile

GORGEOUS day here! Far too nice to be stuck indoors. Looked at the 5 day forecast on BBC this morning, it says it's going to be 27 degrees on Friday Grin

Squirrel3 · 05/06/2006 10:21

I'm locked up indoors today, my hayfever is really bad, I've had to shut the doors and windows, I've taken two lots of anti-alergy tablets, don't know what else to try.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 05/06/2006 11:20

Didn't realise you suffered from hayfever, poor you. Never had it myself but I've heard it can be nasty Sad Hope you get better soon

Wonder where everyone else is?

reflection · 05/06/2006 22:22

Hi all. Glad you had good weekends. I am mega busy at the mo so I hardly get a chance to log on. Thinking of you all trhough.

Squirrel I was up because I have to do some work before school today.....you are a temp lady of leisure!! Enjoy it while you can. Good luck for tomorrow. Fingers crossed xx

NotActuallyAMum · 06/06/2006 08:52

Morning all Smile Hope everyone's OK

Squirrel hope your interview goes well

Squirrel3 · 06/06/2006 12:49

Hello everyone, thank you for the good luck msgs but I didn't go to the interview, had some really shocking/upseting news that I can't go into on here.

Talk to you later.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 06/06/2006 13:17

So sorry to hear that Squirrel Sad

Thinking of you

{{{{hugs to you}}}}

NotActuallyAMum · 06/06/2006 13:19

I've just e-mailed you Squirrel, don't know if I've got your address right though - I'll check it when I get home

alligator · 07/06/2006 10:28

Hi everyone

Hope you are ok Squirrel. If you need someone to talk to my email add is tarantulas at hotmail dot com.

Hows everybody else? Ive been really busy at work this week Sad even had phone calls at home which is a real pain esp on Monday which is my afternoon off. Still at least I got out to enjoy the sunshine.

Glad your boss got his wheely cool box sorted Naam. Dd has one of those carts from Tchibo Its FAB and she refuses to use her buggy any more. Shes known around our area as the 'little girl with the cart'. Grin

NotActuallyAMum · 07/06/2006 10:45

Hello alligator Smile

My boss was really impressed with his wheely cool bag, I told him where I got the information from - he knows I come on here and he doesn't mind as long as I get my work done bless him Smile

I'm OK thank you, on countdown now, I finish at 12 tomorrow till 19th, can't wait. Don't know how I'm going to cope with 9 days without MN though Shock

Know what you mean about phone calls at home, I get the odd one when I'm on holiday. I've told them this time though that if they ring late in the day they won't get any sense out of me because I'll probably have been in the pub since 12 Grin

Squirrel I really hope you're OK [worried emoticon]

Hope everyone else is OK too Smile
