Squirrel3 · 25/05/2006 16:56

So I know who to call if it all goes wrong then alligator!! Grin

ds just arrived home from work, loaded up his car then rushed out, 'cos his band had been asked to do a last minute gig, he hasn't eaten anything, do you think I have ruined his 'cool' by shouting out after him "But you haven't eaten, you'll waste away, make sure you eat something"? Blush

Just getting ready, been looking at your link to ACT Naam, just so that I can talk a little bit about it, just got to do a little more research on the company so that I can ask relevent questions.

Could do with reflection to do a sun dance here though, its pouring, I'm in danger of turning up soaked through.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 26/05/2006 10:08

It's pouring here too - again!! Had a really nice day yesterday though which is more than some have had in the last week so I shouldn't grumble

My eldest nephew leaves school today, can't believe where the years have gone - doesn't seem 5 minutes since he was a baby....

Good luck again Squirrel - you'll be fine Smile

Hope everyone's OK Smile

mummyno2 · 26/05/2006 10:48

Morning. London is wet and miserable. The rain can't make its mind up. At least it stopped raining for the 15 minutes when I took the dsd's to school. Was quite glad as dsd2 left the hood from her coat at school yesterday.
Hope you enjoyed the beer Naam?

NotActuallyAMum · 26/05/2006 10:58

Hello mummyno2 Smile

Yes certainly did enjoy the beer thank you Grin Last chance for a week - DP starts nights tonight till next Thursday, boooo!! Hate it when he's nights

I've got a pepperami fanimal Grin It's a rubber pepperami, about a foot long, with arms, legs, big black boots and a scarf and when you whack it against something (or someone Grin) it says daft phrases like "the referee's a veggie" Grin Right up my street it is, love it!!

Squirrel3 · 26/05/2006 11:06

Naam, your mad!

I'm off now, talk to you later. Smile

Grin

Someone at work called me an effing nutcase earlier Shock Can't really disagree though Grin

Squirrel3 · 26/05/2006 14:35

Ha, ha, ha! Oh my life! What a total waste of time!

I completely f*cked that up! First there was a computer test, I don't know why but my nerves got the better of me and I didn't finish it, then it was a panel of four people all firing questions at me. It soon became clear that they wanted someone much better than I to do the job, more experience, more qualifications, more this, more that. They were asking questions I didn't have a clue how to answer, I felt like \link{http://www.jtrue.com/cartoons/art/fish_out_of_water_rgb.jpg\this}.

Then, whilst waiting at the bus stop to go home, there was a sudden gust of wind which moved all of the rain that had settled on top of the bus shelter and deposited it on top of my head.

So, now I had made a complete idiot of myself and I was standing there in my best designer suit dripping wet!!!

When it came to my bus stop I pressed the buzzer to get the driver to stop and got up to go to the door and the driver sailed straight past my stop, when eventually the driver heard my cries of "Oi, you've gone past my stop you 'silly driver'!" (or words to that effect) it was quite a walk to my house.

Then while walking home, my heel got caught between the paving slabs and wrecked the heel!!!

So this is me, totally p-ed off, dripping wet with a ruined suit and boots, and a total confidence rating of zero.

Think I might go and climb under the duvet for several hours.

NotActuallyAMum · 26/05/2006 15:02

Oh no Squirrel!

Really sorry to hear that, what a nightmare!

Look on the bright side though - at least you get more time off Smile

Squirrel3 · 26/05/2006 15:37

Got another interview on the 6th and on my answer phone there was a msg from a company close to where I live asking me to phone them back to arrange an interview, but you are right, I really do think I need some time out, see the Dr, and get myself well again.

I've got to admit, I think I do need to see the Dr and get to the bottom of what is wrong with me atm. No matter how many tests it takes, I'm fed up with feeling this tired all of the time and the pain in my joints and limbs its getting toooooo much, I feel in 90's not my 's (not telling you how old I am, but I do hit a big birthday very soon).

\link{http://www.gotlaughs.com/index.cfm?action=view&id=12606&scid=9662\This} had me in fits laughing though, think the granny is me, well it explains the pain in my shoulders anyway!!! (it needs sound btw)

mummyno2 · 26/05/2006 15:53

Good luck in whatever you decide to do Squirrel. Sorry that it didn't turn out how you wanted this morning Sad
Not sure I'm going to be able to post over the weekend, got soo much packing to do. Plus dp always hogs the computer at home Envy! So I hope everyone has a nutty weekend and I'll catch up when I get back from my hols.

Squirrel3 · 26/05/2006 15:56

You're right, you really do need to get yourself fighting fit Smile

mummyno2 hope you have a wonderful holiday Smile

This afternoon has really dragged....

Squirrel3 · 26/05/2006 16:05

Quiet at work?

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 26/05/2006 16:11

I keep thinking "one week, thats all I've got left in that job, I'mlooking forward to having some time to myself but on the other hand its gong to be hard to find another job. I think I am over qualified for a lot of the jobs I am going for but not qualified enough for the others. Its difficult to find one that is just right. Don't know if I want to be 'unemployed', Oh well, whatever happens, happens.

What a load of drivel I am spouting today! Blush

OP posts:
reflection · 26/05/2006 16:16

Squirrel. Well done you for getting to the interview. Remember everything happens for a reason.

And the reason for your day has to be to give us a laugh Grin....no sorry not funny

You pooor thing I would have been ranting by the time I got home. It would have been crap anyway the next interview will be better I'm sure.

reflection · 26/05/2006 16:19

I feel rough today Sad

My own fault but it was good fun Grin ...too old for all this crazyness. Should've known better!

However...IT IS HALF TERM!!!!

(reflection is singing and dancing around the room)
