It's always the unknown. We weren't keen on the Kronkes at the start, because they weren't putting in any investment. Many people wanted Usmanov, as he would likely have been more like Abramovich at Chelsea, throwing money at the team. But seeing what a horrific person he is I'm very glad he has nothing to do with the club.

When Josh Kronke caught the bug, they started investing, and we're (mostly) happy with them now (there's always a group of any set of supporters who will never be happy with anything!).

We dodged a bullet with Chris Kirchner a few years ago. He was going to come in and turn us into a huge club, some of the fans were taken in and drank the Kool Aid. Then the club pulled out basically saying he’d been messing them around. Simon Jordan claimed someone had been rude to Kirchner so off he went to Derby, and royally messed them for months. Now he’s in jail for fraud. Bullet dodged, and glad the owners really cared enough to check his credentials. I think he also never proved he had the money.
Still, you hear of fans wanting a new billionaire owner and a day in the sun, but at what cost?. Hemmings saved us and yet people talk of the family not being ambitious enough, some bloody gratitude.
