@ButterPiesAreGreat , I see Harrison Armstrong got MotM on the BBC website.

Thierry Small was at Everton before he went to Southampton, was offered a contract but I think his agent adviced him against it. Good to see he is doing well.

He did, tho Vukcevic got MotM at the club and DS (who watched online) agreed. Glad that Harrison is settling in now and getting some game time under his belt. I know Everton fans really rate him. Alfie Devine is also doing well for us. He came on and got an assist for the second goal.

So looking into it the San Siro is being used for the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics (although that is a Friday)

so yes moved to Perth Australia!

Of course Milan aren’t in Europe are they so I guess no midweeks

UEFA are against it though so can see rules coming in

Brefugee · 07/10/2025 11:13

Lucky me that since the 70s nobody outside Mönchengladbach has heard of us.

waily waily

5-0 loss to Coventry, and probably at least a 15 point deduction because the wanker owner hasn't paid players and staff. Again.

The owner should cease to be owner if not paying people on time. The only debate should be what form the new ownership should take, to stop someone avoiding debts incurred.

JasonTindallsTan · 07/10/2025 21:38

4 years today since our takeover. It’s been eventful but I don’t miss Mike Ashley one little bit.

Whatever anyone's opinions about the current ownership, Mike Ashley was never someone who should have been allowed to own anything, never mind a football club.

Dunc sorry this is so blurry but your team did me well at darts tonight. Won £15 off the football card we do. I picked West Ham, Wednesday and Everton. First time I’ve ever won one as well.

3-0 for us at halftime at Gayfield. And it’s a lovely day so I had to take my coat off. 🤣

TheSleepingGiant · 11/10/2025 18:15

It was a sunny day at Priestfield too. Not as many goals as your match though @Tarkan Ended 1-1, with Nevitt scoring in the 95th minute to rescue a point. Disappointed as Gillingham were dominant throughout, but at least it stopped us facing our 4th defeat in as many games.

Everyone was given a blue heart to hold up when the fans sang the Last Waltz as tribute to Ainsworth and his successful heart surgery which I thought was cute.

Tarkan · 11/10/2025 18:26

4-1 for us by full time. Some great play and I didn’t need my coat for the entire match. 🤣

Queen’s Park’s goalie also had a hell of a clearance at one point too. He looked like a dolphin jumping to head the ball out of the way. 🤣

DuncinToffee · 11/10/2025 18:51

I am already bored with the international break.

Our women play at the new stadium tomorrow, they closed a large section but more than 17,000 tickets have been sold.

There's not even any Match of the Day to watch...

TheNewGaard · 14/10/2025 20:12

Wishing Jack Wheelchair success at Luton Town.

DuncinToffee · 14/10/2025 21:56

That's Lee Dixon off the Christmas card list

Urgh. Mike Ashley to buy Sheffield Wednesday? is that out of the frying pan and into the fire?

Would he pass the fit and proper test? (Chansiri clearly wouldn't and yet here we are)

JasonTindallsTan · 14/10/2025 23:49

Mike Ashley will suck the very soul out of the club. My deepest sympathies.

If he does, then the football regulator should intervene. He won't of course as almost all regulators end up going native and being ineffective.

Tiswa · 15/10/2025 19:43

The new football governance act is pretty much coming out now isn’t it with the new independent football regulator and looking at it the IFR will have the power to block unsuitable owners

JasonTindallsTan · 15/10/2025 22:49

1st Nov I think. I work in regulatory periphery type things and would love to be involved so I’ve been keeping a vague eye on it.

Tiswa · 15/10/2025 23:47

@JasonTindallsTan yeah that fits with it commencing (it has already reached royal assent) got down to a final interview to do some proof reading work for the Government to ensure all the guidance makes sense for those reading it but use Microsoft rather than Google and have no security clearance

Sheffield Wednesday yiu assume would be something covered.

Brefugee · 16/10/2025 14:24

Wednesday deeper in the poop. Am travelling so only caught a glimpse, but I think a winding up order is about to be issued.

O am alternating between 😡 and 😭

burblish · 16/10/2025 18:55

@Brefugee It's just awful that unscrupulous, uncaring, unfit owners can bring a club with so much history and such a passionate fan base to its knees like this. 😥

DuncinToffee · 17/10/2025 09:39

We dodged a massive bullet with 777. The fans didn't want them but for a while it seemed like Moshiri was hell bent sellng the club to them.

It's always the unknown. We weren't keen on the Kronkes at the start, because they weren't putting in any investment. Many people wanted Usmanov, as he would likely have been more like Abramovich at Chelsea, throwing money at the team. But seeing what a horrific person he is I'm very glad he has nothing to do with the club.

When Josh Kronke caught the bug, they started investing, and we're (mostly) happy with them now (there's always a group of any set of supporters who will never be happy with anything!).
