I don't know why it has become such a point of discussion, their Ultra's are vile but they could have banned them and allow the other fans to attend.

It's a high risk match, and it's not the first time this season away fans are banned

There is an interesting discussion going on about football in the 80's after Jenrick called it 'largely good natured fun" 😬

I'm finding this a difficult one to call. You shouldn't ban normal fans just because of what their government is doing, although given that Russia is banned from all competitions that might be a better option.

However, if the authorities are definitely worried about safety and security it should be their call.

Brefugee · 17/10/2025 22:48

Why has it all blown up now? didn't they announce it last week?

In other news. Gladbach lost again. We're definitely going down, i can't see where we can pick up any points at all. Bayern at home next week.

Spanish clubs are going to protest against La Liga game in Miami, La Liga clubs will halt play for 15 seconds at the start of games this weekend.

Tonight's protest wasn't shown on tv, they cut out for those 15 seconds.

I agree it is such a sensitive topic it is hard to really see what the solution is. safety should always be first but at the same time you are penalising them

whst is clear to me is that the Birmingham Safety Advisory Group should not be the ones who make the decision FA/UEFA/Home Office absolutely

but the level it has been made at no for me. It needs higher level of involvement and decision making for me to be comfortable with it

the beginning of the match is the wrong time, it should be different in every match, and after 15 minutes or so. And maybe 30 seconds...

I can imagine how a German protest would look, and i hope i never see it. (also: do we know how that works for season ticket holders? do they just get a refund?)

Exactly. There are legitimate views on both sides (although I think that everyone will agree that their Ultras should not be allowed to get tickets), however why should our police get injured or worse?

All the people who are calling for it go ahead should be prepared to go and join the riot police and see how they cope with the violence.

All I care about is the police and they should not be put at risk because of a football match.

Oh no. Have you gone down before?

Brefugee · 18/10/2025 11:32

yes they have been down before, and escaped relegation a few times, but this time if they go down the 2nd division is very strong and i can't see them going back up again right away.

Have just watched a clip of the team standing in front of the away fans getting a dressing down from the chief ultra. TBH as a player i'm not sure i'd put up with that, on the other hand well done to the ones who did and listened.

Wow, announcement within 20 mins of the final whistle - that's cold. I feel sorry already for whoever will take over from him.

Tiswa · 18/10/2025 14:53

This is clearly a Forest issue though

It think it might have beaten Ancelotti's sacking by Chelsea at Goodison

Checking in to the shiny new thread.

At Gayfield again today. Against St Johnstone who have been doing really well recently so not overly hopeful for today’s result but stranger things have happened.

Forest are the new Watford. Except that Watford is still Watford and on their 431st manager since the pandemic. (Or sommat like that!)

Ange sacked after 39 days, setting a new Premier League record for the quickest firing.

Amazing work from Marinakis, Edu and, of course, Ange himself.
