And again, you're saying what you want him to say, not what he actually says!

It's bizarre...

Are you saying he didn’t say Arsenal were the best team in the Champions League? And that he isn’t part of the problem now

there is other football though than Arsenal and the Premier League including Chelsea lifting the WSL today and Bayern celebrating at home.

MaybeNotBob · 10/05/2025 11:37

There is indeed.

Have you never heard any other managers bigging up their team in order to prove morale? If not, then you haven't been paying any attention to any other football...

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 10/05/2025 16:56

Wooo well done Southampton they got to 12!

DuncinToffee · 10/05/2025 17:02

Well done Southampton!

Great win for us 💙UTFT!!

please cross all your fingers for Gladbach to beat Bayern today.
I don't mind if Müller scores a goal in his final match at the Allianz Arena, but i will be needing my boys to score one more.

burblish · 10/05/2025 19:24

@Brefugee Sorry to see the Gladbach game didn't go your way.

Cuwins · 10/05/2025 19:32

Important 3 points for us to stay in the chase for Europe.
Lovely to see Welbeck hit double figures in premier league goals for the first time in his career- at the age of 34!

TheSleepingGiant · 10/05/2025 19:43

Goes without saying I'd love Spurs to win the EL, it's all about the trophy for me. My DS is 11 so hasn't witnessed them winning anything to date, and League Cup aside, I was a small child in 1991 when they last lifted a major trophy. All that being said, Tottenham are a long way off CL level and the thought of them possibly competing in it next season is a scary one.

@Tiswa Am also looking forward to the Notts v Dons game. Team Wimbledon here.

@Brefugee Sad

@Brefugee Sorry to see the Gladbach game didn't go your way.

Thanks. Not unexpected but we have been the only team to consistently ein or draw against them so there's always a spark of hope!

Absolutely harrowing reading. So so sad. RIP.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 11/05/2025 11:59

Remembering the documentary on the 30 years anniversary. So sad and so scary how quickly it went from a small flame to completey being engulfed. Just lucky people could escape onto the pitch...

RIP

i remember that day - shocking. Awful.

burblish · 11/05/2025 14:46

Awful, entirely preventable tragedy. RIP

@Brefugee You probably already know this, but Mönchengladbach and Bradford are twin towns.

Brefugee · 11/05/2025 17:55

I think I say that every time I drive past the sign, then promptly forget it

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 11/05/2025 21:27

What a horrible man Evangelos Marinakis is, but I suppose we knew that already.

The bbc documentary is heartbreaking.

The link above was a very sad and shocking read. Can't imagine the terror they would have all felt and with no counseling offered after. Just awful.

I'd like Spurs to win the Europa League, because it will mean more disappointment for the Manchester United glory seekers. Manchester United went 26 years without winning the league, and if that is repeated, then it will be 2039 before they win it again.

To be fair if it was upset about Awonyi and not being taken off which he is now arguing… although is that a smokescreeb

definitley team Wimbledon - live near there now and the fan base is amazing

Cuwins · 13/05/2025 21:46

Just reading about Goddison park going to be the home of Everton’s women- now that’s going to be a massive stadium for the WSL, will they be able to get it anywhere near full?

DuncinToffee · 13/05/2025 22:24

I am really happy with this move.

The plan is to close off the upper tiers of Goodison Park, creating an intimate dome around the pitch. The club say that the capacity will be flexible. Banners, flags and other branding could be used to cover the empty upper tiers, while seats will be sold as close to the pitch as possible first, then moving backwards to meet demand.

That sounds good

Sounds like a really good plan and so much better than replacing it with flats. Women’s football is certainly on the rise - Chelsea where I am do get good attendance for the Stamford Bridge matches and the academy is growing - our local school has a contract with the academy

good match last night love the playoffs (Mondays was a disappointing one way affair for the neutral)

and big La Liga night we could get this week with only the Serie A to fight for

and have removed all Liverpool players from my FPL as clearly a 4 day trip to Dubai is not going to make a good performance

Finally, Reading FC have new owners! It's a very happy household. Champagne cork has been popped!
