Gutted for Jesus-seems particularly awful as he had just found his form. I can't help rooting for him but sadly I suspect he won't play again for us.

Loved Declan Rice's post match interview where he said it felt like we could have scored 10. Maybe if we had a striker????

And am really really behind Havertz. Was so hoping for a goal for him.
His wife has been on the receiving end of unbelievably vile posts on twitter after the ManU game. I hope the police investigate and there are repercussions. I am not a fan of "hurty words" being a crime but this was beyond.
Saying they hoped she had a miscarriage and threatening to kill her baby etc.

And isn't Myles Lewis Skelly a bloody gem??

Yes, I so wanted Havertz to score but also pleased Trossard did . I think Havertz got the loudest cheer at the start of the match.

It is ridiculous that one idiot out of a fan base of millions can cause so much upset. I really hope he goes to prison.

Yes, MLS is amazing but not a convincing win at all and we are lucky that we played them before a lot of their injured players return at the end of the month.

That Bergvall's a nasty piece of work...

What did he do?

I know that he should have been shown 2 yellows in one of their other matches and ended up scoring the winning goal.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 16/01/2025 16:21

I'm not too sure who should be more worried after the NLD.

Them because they brought on all their strikers in the second half and still couldn't score or us because we couldn't sore in spite of that.

Generally nasty all around. Several tackles that could easily have been yellows. Throwing Lewis-Skelly into the net at a corner and trying to claim he was fouled. Smacked someone in the face (can't remember who now).

Just a dreadfully dirty player.

Oh yes, I saw him throw MLS to the ground and then pretend MLS had thrown him.

Yes, the tackle that he should have got a second yellow for against Liverpool was bad.

Hopefully the referees will watch out for him now.

Guess Man City are safe from punishment

9.5 years, really?

I feel for Southampton fans, sucker punch.

Who knows.

Yes, they were playing like Duracell bunnies all match so it was hardly surprising that they were worn out at the end and couldn't cope with the Man U subs. Really felt for Ramsdale too.

They said on Sky Sports News the hearing was completed this week, both sides have the opportunity to appeal so the world won't know anything until March?

As an aside (despite us being rubbish), I always partly feel for away fans who come to OT when their team are the better side for 75 minutes and they end up with a loss. It's a long way back to Southampton on a Thursday night. I say partly as my sympathy waned when Sugawara had a go at us for not getting the ball quick enough for a goal kick after we'd scored (before then they'd spent 40 minutes time wasting). I'm pretty fickle 😂

Loss of another legend today, the last of the United Trinity. RIP Denis Law ❤️

Wow, Bournemouth!

DuncinToffee · 18/01/2025 14:38

I put Kerkez on my bench thinking Isak and Gordon would get me more points, curse of FPL 😂

DS has Kluivert.

never mind tried to post link but it's already gone from twitter 😤but it looked bad-Bergvall grabs lewis skelly by the arm, pushes/throws him down and then flings himself down holding his leg as if the injured party.
Really despise this part of the "game"
He seems to get away with it and whilst he does he will carry on.

What a great match, the Newcastle v Bournemouth match. So much good football, lovely passes, lovely periods of play. Best match I've seen in ages. As a neutral.

Worried that spurs needs to show up against Everton.

Yes, it was a good game. Either team could have won, but Bournemouth did some vital clearances off the line.

The Bournemouth manager seems like a decent guy.

JasonTindallsTan · 18/01/2025 19:18

Newcastle not at the races today. Never mind, can’t win them all, Bournemouth were the better team on the day by a country mile.

TheSleepingGiant · 18/01/2025 20:31

No new manager bounce for the Gills, lost 1-0 to Donny.

We were correct to be worried. Can a manager be sacked at half time?!!

Oblomov25 · 19/01/2025 15:16

Giant Martin Jol was sacked by Spurs at 1/2 time. And he was a good manager. Will they sack Ange? 3-0 nil down to Everton at 1/2 time? Possibly.

There comes a point where banter about a team's misfortune reaches the end, things cannot get much worse if at all. Maybe with Spurs that point is being reached.

Excellent another win at old Trafford! We would happily play there every week I think 😂
