Well, they've announced the calendar so we can have a thread now Grin

2015 races

Live on the beeb

Congrats Jenson and Jessica!

Will Lewis and Nico snipe at each other all season? Will little Verstappen (must stop calling him Jos jr) impress in his first race? Will Ferrari and McLaren improve or still be a bit shit? Can't wait for Melbourne!

Enjoyed that race and also really glad to have competition for the Mercs.

That link is hilarious, Eau.

EauRouge · 30/03/2015 11:47

Hopefully the season will be a bit more exciting now rather than just the Mercs winning all the time. I'm hoping the Ferraris can really challenge and that the win wasn't just down to Mercedes' strategy cock up.

OP posts:
magimedi · 30/03/2015 16:42

And it would be great to see Kimi win.

PowderMum · 30/03/2015 20:10

A Kimi win - yes. And who then would be best for the podium interviews? Someone who could be really excited then Kimi can deliver one of his measured one liners.

CMP69 · 12/04/2015 16:36

My performance in the Fantasy F1 league is almost as mediocre as today's race. Apart from Jenson and Maldonado Im not sure anything happened at all Sad
This season is not sucking me in at all yet. I assume you all feel the same as the thread is rathet quiet

GrouchyKiwi · 12/04/2015 17:07

Apart from a few funny transmissions from Kimi and more whining from Nico you're quite right.

Oh, and Ricciardo and Ericsson were fun, as was Verstappen (till his car broke, alas).

I'm pretty sure we're going to get some more trouble between Nico and Lewis as Nico's head seems to be in the same place it was last year. Lewis is definitely winning the psychological game at the moment.

EauRouge · 12/04/2015 21:26

LOLdonado was up to his old tricks again. That pitlane incident was hilarious.

Little Verstappen is good, isn't he? Considering his voice hasn't even properly broken yet. Some fab overtakes. Such a shame that he didn't finish.

I love Kimi on the radio Grin and Nico sounded well pissed off in the post-race interview. I think his relationship with lewis will deteriorate a lot more quickly this year.

LondonHuffyPuffy · 12/04/2015 21:29

Oooh! I'm top of the league!

GaryBaldy · 12/04/2015 23:14

Nice one London, I've just changed mine round as I was doing so badly :(

Enjoyed seeing a bit of racing today and found Nico's grumbling amusing ut that was about it.

magimedi · 13/04/2015 16:53

If Rosberg was so bloody fast why didn't he race & overtake Lewis?? Grin

JADS · 13/04/2015 19:20

I'm glad you said about Nico. He never seemed close enough to Lewis to be holding him up but I only watched part of the highlights so wondered if I had missed something. Well done Lewis though.

I love Kimi and want him to do well. I actually feel really sorry for Alonso, he seems to have jumped from one lemon car to another whereas Vettel seems to be completely jammy.

CMP69 · 14/04/2015 09:04

Def agree Lewis and Nico will be a disaster before long. I just hope no one gets hurt if either of them does something daft. Yy re Nico just passing Ham if he was so slow. I said several times to DH that getting too close was ruining his tyres was total bs. There's not much overtaking these days but there would be none if that was the case Angry
Loving little Verstappen and Joss' proud face every time he's on the screen

GaryBaldy · 19/04/2015 11:32

Where have you all gone???

Bahrain today...hoping for an exciting race now that the cars are mixed up a bit Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 19/04/2015 11:51

The race today does look fun. Hopefully it fulfils its promise.

I really want McLaren to sort its issues.

EauRouge · 19/04/2015 12:49

I'm still here! This keeps dropping off my threads. Ferraris were so close yesterday, should make for an exciting race. DDs will be unimpressed that I'm interrupting their Peppa Pig marathon.

EauPea · 19/04/2015 15:23

So Bernie will step down immediately to let Audi in to F1.

I think especially after his comments about Marussia, he needs to go.

GaryBaldy · 19/04/2015 15:58

Sad that JB not starting

magimedi · 19/04/2015 18:18

Great finish to that race. So pleased for Kimi.

Just watched a bit of the red button forum & saw Pat Symonds - I haven't seen him for years & could not believe how much weight he has put on - he really looked as if he had health problems with it, he seemed quite short of breath.

EauRouge · 19/04/2015 19:02

Well done to Kimi, too bad he ended up on the podium in a country with non-alcoholic fizz Grin

I love it when there's a race right up to the flag.

Such a shame about Jenson.

OP posts:
magimedi · 19/04/2015 19:47

Yes, I was thinking that Kimi must have been wanting some proper fizz!

PersonalClown · 19/04/2015 20:01

Is it me or is Vettel cultivating a more likeable personality?
I find myself warming to him a bit now.

Happy to see Alonso higher up the rankings compared to previous races. Bit disappointed for Red Bull but only because I love Riccardo. C Horner gets my hackles up for some reason.

EauRouge · 20/04/2015 08:35

I think most people would seem more likeable sitting next to Hamilton Grin

Did anyone see this being shared on FB?

OP posts:
Archer26 · 20/04/2015 08:55

I said the same to my husband- Vettel came across well in the interview with Hamilton. He seemed very down to earth. Hamilton on the other hand....

Trying to be a rapper more and more each day.

AlpacaLypse · 20/04/2015 09:06

Poor Jensen. But good to see the McLarens are getting vaguely competitive, hopefully he'll have a functioning car next round. And well done to Stevens for not being last!

EauRouge · 20/04/2015 09:09

I did laugh at that question Lee asked them about the most influential person they'd met and Seb just said his mum and dad. I don't think Lewis was expecting Seb to top his answer of Nelson Mandela and the queen.
