trying to book - tickets have got through to the requesting stage but time waiting varies between 7 mins then goes back to at least 15 ...I am wasting my energies are there any likelihoods of getting tickets????

I would try for a couple of singles rather than 2 if that is what you're doing.

thekingfisher · 04/08/2012 19:54

aaargh trying for 3 and 4 in 2 different sessions so probably a no hoper really... Sad

SorrelForbes · 04/08/2012 20:16

I managed to get two tickets last night for the waterpolo on the 12th. I'd been trying since Saturday, clicking refersh about every 30 secs between 8am and 1am! Don't give up Smile

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 04/08/2012 20:18

There are still tickets left for paralympics.

Rhubarb78 · 04/08/2012 20:20

thanks hokey will have a look, i desperately want to see the stadium while the games are on

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 04/08/2012 20:24

Us too, we got tickets for a family of four for £30.00 to see paralympic athletics.

Rhubarb78 · 04/08/2012 20:24

i lost out in the ballot too kingfisher think it would be easier to watch the games in rio next time!

BettySuarez · 04/08/2012 21:39

I honestly wouldn't bother with the Olympics now unless you are minted.

Paralympic tickets however are still available - We now have tickets for 4 different dates.

When we tried to book a combo of full price plus junior (£5) tickets, we had no luck. But when we tried again with everyone on a full price ticket we got them.

BettySuarez · 04/08/2012 21:40

You will have better luck looking for tickets in Excel now rather than Olympic Park - good luck

mymatemax · 04/08/2012 21:43

We have tickets for paralympic swimming, can't wait!

rathlin · 04/08/2012 22:45

I got tickets for paralympic athletics last night...really quick and straightforward. Bought two adult and one child. Excited at getting into see the stadium. Gave up on olympic tickets as have better things to spend £450 upwards on. Our tickets were £20 each and £5 for child (not sure why paralympic child tickets are not aged based but not too worried...only hope we can keep DS amused in stadium for few hrs).

I got two hockey tickets tonight but was really lucky in that I've been refreshing all day DP threatened to remove the laptop three times and arranged for us to go out tonight so I wouldn't be on the Internet. I was also lucky in that I hit refresh just as they came up (about 6:50pm) so just grabbed the first ones in our price bracket.

This Twitter account is good for letting you know when they are about to release a raft of them. It was suspended by Locog and then started up again unexpectedly about 6:30pm. I found that the ones it linked to went fast but it gives a heads-up so you can refresh fast on the main search page and just grab the first thing (this is what I did). Hope that helps someone :)

sparkle1981 · 04/08/2012 23:07

I finally managed to get tickets yesterday so there are some around still. Got the £20 ones too. I tried all day and like you the waiting time kept changing and then got the no tickets found message............but it was worth it in the end

Littlemissimpatient · 04/08/2012 23:17

I'm also trying for fri. DH is working the Olympics so we couldn't get tickets in ballot as we didn't have his shifts. We now know he is off fri but the website is rubbish. Athletics tickets were made available but who realistically has £725 per ticket??!!

curiousgeorgie · 04/08/2012 23:38

Keep trying! It does sometimes work... I managed to get 4 £150 athletics tickets, 4 £95 football final and 2 £50 (I think!) Eton Dorney...

Seriously drove myself mad refreshing the page every thirty seconds for about 14 hours but got there in the end!

I tried all week to get tickets, spending every evening refreshing and searching. Managed to get some tonight just before 7pm for athletics tomorrow night and diving next Saturday night. Expensive though. Athletics were £420 each and diving £295 each. Huge amount but once in a lifetime opportunity so beans on toast for the next few months will be worth it.

CharminglyOdd · 05/08/2012 00:19

To reassure those looking for cheaper tickets, mine were £65 each (our upper limit)... even so DP's eyebrows hit the roof when I told him the total before we even leave. Train tickets were £158 with my 18-25 discount Angry

bisjolympics · 05/08/2012 00:57

Thankfully I already have a season ticket for the train and ds's fare will be under £10. It adds a lot if you can't get the games travelcard. It says you can collect them from the venue but that doesn't help you get there.
