Our seat location is 203. Is that near you? Grin

BlisdergamesbeginPack · 10/08/2012 22:12

No ours is 231 :).

I have my driving licence with me all the time anyway so photo ID is sorted. Looks like Athletics start at 6.45pm, does that mean we'll get to go and have a nose around the stadium before that?

TheDoctrineOfEnnis · 10/08/2012 22:13

No, you can't go into any venues except the one you have a ticket for. You can walk around the outside though.

TheDoctrineOfEnnis · 10/08/2012 22:14

Passport or photo driving license should be ok.

Glad I'm not the only one finding the ticket website frustrating , on Wednesday afternoon I managed to easily buy on Wednesday afternoon 3 ExCeL day passes (full, senior & young person prices) for Friday the 31st of August, I then looked at Olympic park day pass tickets or Olympic stadium tickets for the same day but none were available, I then checked later in the evening to be amazed that they were now available to buy, it was when I added them to my shopping basket and after waiting for 2 minutes, trying again & waiting 7 minutes that I found out that none were available, I found it strange as advertised were quite a lot of tickets (55). It's now Friday evening and I still can't seem to grab the elusive tickets I require.
A friend told me that some tickets get released just after dinner time and around 8pm, so today from 12pm-8pm none came up then at 8.17pm tonight tickets were available to buy, at first the Session ticket limit was 22 BUT when i went to buy them I couldn't add them to my shopping basket, a few minutes later, I then could add them, after adding the 3 that I required to my shopping basket I prayed that I was lucky......but no, every time I have tried to buy tickets I have put in the higher price tickets and also the lower price tickets but I have no luck.
Came across this website www.2012ticketalert.com/ not sure if people will find it helpful.

I'm sorry can anyone tell me how to subscribe to twitter and how to see the feed without subscribing is that on the phone or computer screen?

AngelDelightIsIndeedDelightful · 11/08/2012 07:30

Don't give up hope anyone still trying! I have literally just got 4 tickets for the pentathlon tomorrow! Thought I'd never get any but finally my persistence has paid off Grin

Did anyone manage to buy a Closing Ceremony ticket today? Some were released this morning, apparently. I missed it, despite being by the PC for most of the morning.

bisjolympics · 12/08/2012 13:53

I could only find £1500 ones this morning.

Sparklegeek · 12/08/2012 13:58

It seems like that's it on the tickets site Sad I feel like I've barely moved from my computer for the last 2 weeks & was hopeful right to the end that persistence would pay off. I am usually so good at ticket buying too, have had loads of Take That tickets right up the front etc.

Was quiet excited when they announced they'd put up more Closing Ceremony ones once the stage is in as I thought it was one last chance, especially as today's my Mum's birthday. What happened to them?! Please put them on now, we're only 40 mins away, plenty of time!

bisjolympics · 12/08/2012 14:08

I reckon there will be Paralympic tickets being released once those games start. There seems to be good availability for early Sept but of course that is hard as the schools go back that week.

LeeCoakley · 12/08/2012 16:20

Amazingly that £1,500 ticket for the closing ceremony seems to have been bought at last Grin

They said they would release more once the stadium had been emptied, maybe it's taking longer than expected.

As for Paralympic tickets I can't believe they have filled the stadium every day. If so, then they must be intending to dismantle the top tiers of seating before they start.

bisjolympics · 12/08/2012 18:38

I agree about the Paralympics. I have no doubt that tickets will appear during the Paralympics as they did during the Olympics although they maybe equally hard to bag. I'm sure lots of people have done as we have - book Paralympic tickets in order to be able to go and experience the venues.

We've got tickets for athletics, cycling, basketball at the O2 and a day at the Excel centre. We were hugely lucky to get given back corporate seats for the athletics but more than happy to go to the stadium again. In the original ballot I bid the most I could afford for cycling but got nothing so I'm delighted we have been lucky this time.
