trying to book - tickets have got through to the requesting stage but time waiting varies between 7 mins then goes back to at least 15 ...I am wasting my energies are there any likelihoods of getting tickets????

Yet again failure, this time I tried for 1 x top price (gulp) ticket for Handball (Swedish guest coming over, we already have semi final tickets)........why list it if it's not available......note to Rio2014.....faster ticketing website

exexe · 05/08/2012 19:15

I've been stuck on 3mins for the past 6 minutes. Such a rubbish site.

cocoachannel · 05/08/2012 19:21

Keep going- its frustrating but you may get there. We were lucky enough to get stadium and velodrome tickets and the nightmare if refreshing, losing tickets at the final stage was small sacrifice for being there on Friday and last night.

exexe · 05/08/2012 19:26

Its still on 3 mins but the animation is spinning and moving. Is it worth sticking to it or shall I just forget it?

DebiTheScot · 05/08/2012 19:26

I've been trying for days too to get athletics, handball or football. Thought I was in with a chancce on the football earlier but no, 3 refreshes of sitting in the queue and then it told me there was none before even putting me in the queue.

I wish they would take them off the list when there's none available though. There's loads on the 'all Olympic park venues' option that then say ticket limit 0.

And it's very annoying that it suggests you can buy 20 football tickets at a time but none at a sensible price.

BettySuarez · 05/08/2012 19:27

stick with exexe, the clock can be a bit reliable and will sometimes go forwards as well as backwards but you will get there eventully.

Rhubarb78 · 05/08/2012 19:31

trying to get Olympic tickets for mon, tue or wed because I have a place I can stay in London then so would keep the costs down.

Rhubarb78 · 05/08/2012 19:32

I wish I could afford £450, get the feeling I would get a ticket for that

angel1976 · 05/08/2012 19:35

Rhubard78 Been trying for 1 £450 ticket for athletes and STILL no luck...

Rhubarb78 · 05/08/2012 19:41

that makes me feel a little better angel, thought the expensive seats would be available. good luck though.

exexe · 05/08/2012 19:44

think I'm gonna have to give up

angel1976 · 05/08/2012 19:49

Rhubard78 Good! DH is desperate to go to athletics but I am not fussed (well, would love to go if tickets were crazily ex!) as I have been to athletics at the Sydney Games. That's why we were trying for 1, still nothing!

minsmum · 05/08/2012 20:08

I just got tickets for the table tennis Yay

Dinocroc · 05/08/2012 20:14

I just got some 65 pound athletics ones for tomorrow, selflessly for husband and boys as I'm working. Must have tried about fifty times ( iPad on lap), but there is hope I tell you, never give up !!!

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 05/08/2012 20:15

I'm going round in an endless loop for triathlon tickets.

lapsedorienteerer · 05/08/2012 20:17

...and so the list reduces again to 8 events....I'll keep trying (I think).

minsmum · 05/08/2012 20:17

I was trying for those athletics ones so enjoy them for me as well

lapsedorienteerer · 05/08/2012 20:19

...it also appears to change depending on search criteria (date or event or location), not consistent?

CharminglyOdd · 05/08/2012 20:30

I'd noticed that lapsed. I didn't get any tickets that way though, just with a straight search with 'Olympic Park' as the only filter. The one thing it was good for - despite not getting me any tickets - was that as I kept applying for phantom tickets (as the search terms changed) it kept me logged in.

renovatinghouse · 05/08/2012 20:31

I just got tickets for table tennis after trying non stop for three days... a bit expensive though, 125 each!

curiousgeorgie · 05/08/2012 21:37

Rhubarb - the expensive tickets are also ridiculously not available...

Put the £850 ones in the basket and came up no tickets.

Then out of curiosity tried the most expensive closing ceremony ticket (1,500 or something) for one ticket and also said no tickets!

It is actually the stupidest website in existence.

Three iPads, two iPhones and a laptop all on the go eventually got me four £95 gymnastics for Friday...

seven77 · 05/08/2012 22:02

How come there's loads of tickets still for the Olympics but bugger all for the Paralympics? I thought getting Paralympic tickets would be easier!

angel1976 · 05/08/2012 22:04

Been trying for that sole £450 athletics ticket for tomorrow night ALL NIGHT tonight, why keep showing as available when it blatantly isn't? Argh! seven77 The Paralympics tickets were widely available a few weeks ago but it looks like everyone is now getting on the Paralympics bandwagon... I know loads of people now going to the Paralympics after getting tickets in the last few weeks!

YouBrokeMySmoulder · 05/08/2012 22:34

Seven because they release more everyday so when the Paralympics starts they will release loads of those as well.

caramelwaffle · 05/08/2012 22:46

It's taken me less than 10 minutes to get some paralympics tickets (£20 for two people - well 1 and a half). I have no real interest in the sport we're going to see, I just wanted to get Olympic Park Day passes (not available) but the sport event includes the Day Pass.
