The time has come round yet again for the Insight team at MNHQ to host our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year! Xmas Smile

We have had lots of staff changes in the team this year and sadly RebeccaEMumsnet is leaving us at Christmas to go back up north - we wish her the best - she’s a Star.

Read on for the chance to win...
~ A Just for Tots weekend break at Butlins in Minehead in May - this would be for a family in a newly refurbished Seaside Apartment with premium dining (worth more than £800) or
~ A £50 giftcard to spend at M&S or
~ A £50 giftcard to spend in Matalan or
~ A REN skincare Moroccan Rose Otto Luxury set worth £49

In 2016, we have given away over £50,000 in prizes - mainly in the form of vouchers in exchange for sharing feedback, completing a short survey or for simply sharing a tip on a thread Smile.

Our faves this year have been giving MNers and their families money to spend in PizzaExpress on their new menu, sending them to the Slumberland factory (and then hearing how their new mattresses helped make bedtime bliss), having a Wizarding Time with a massive MN group at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Watford and being one of the first to try and hear loads about new Coca-Cola Zero Sugar at Coke HQ. We LOVED your imaginary play tales for MegaBloks and we were thrilled when our baby names survey made the headlines.

For a chance to win one of the prizes, please do one of the below

a) Share on this thread what you have enjoyed taking part in this year, or appreciated reading about OR
b) Tell us on this thread what you’d like to product test next year OR
c) Join the panel * - where you'll have the opportunity to share your views with MNHQ on a variety of topics and with the companies we work with and chances to win vouchers OR
d) Follow us or retweet one of our tweets over on our new-for-this-year twitter page @MumsnetInsight *

  • NB if you do c or d post on this thread to let us know you’ve done it to be entered into the draws!

Most of the product tests, surveys etc are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely insight research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please do sign up now. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it’s not for you.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Smile

Happy Christmas! Xmas Grin

Thank you MN for choosing me to try out the Samsung AddWash machine, I am still loving it and it is really being put though its paces! Next year I'd love to review a Centre Parcs break or a theatre show, you know if you can wave a magic wand! A very happy new Year to you all. Mich x

KarenCBC · 28/12/2016 20:10

I loved testing the little dish pizzas. Always happy to text more food!!! Grin

columbine75 · 28/12/2016 20:18

I'd love to test potty training pants (cloth preferably) as we're about to head into that territory 😱

Mouseface · 28/12/2016 20:42

I've loved being a part of the MN panel over the years and reading other's points of view, sometimes agreeing, sometimes not Grin But, I've loved the variety of the products, a small few I've passed on as they had no use here, and then posted the feedback.

All in all, I've LOVED being lucky enough to be involved in so much. Long may it last!

SaladDressing · 28/12/2016 20:56

We were lucky enough to take part in the Pizza Express test - DC took it very seriously with a notebook to write his comments.

I seem to remember the Easter Eggs being less successful though.

Count me in for any restaurant/meal tests. It would also be good to have some opportunities to try let local 'family friendly' attractions and parks and report back.

oneplus2is3 · 28/12/2016 21:13

My DCs enjoyed testing baby food and nappies. I would like to product test bunk beds (a big purchase and you never know if DCs will get on with them or not) as well as smaller home gadgets/products. Thanks all.

TheMasterBaker · 28/12/2016 21:15

I'd love to test just about anything please! I've been lucky enough to test dog food and nappies this year. An appliance would be fantastic, any kids toys/gadgets, food, drink etc.

CheeseEMouse · 28/12/2016 21:18

The Easter egg was memorable for slightly the wrong reasons (still got eaten though), and I enjoyed testing the pitrock deodorant. I enjoy trying out new products I would never normally try

kod88 · 28/12/2016 21:43

I've joined the panel

MrsIB · 28/12/2016 22:02

I have absolutely loved testing products for my boys. We have discovered new and exciting brands in the process! Thanks Mumsnet! We feel very grateful! Smile

edwardcullensotherwoman · 28/12/2016 22:10

Our favourite by far was the Digby Dragon test - DD1 was over the moon with her DVD and activity book!
I'd love a chance to test a family sized (8+ Mam) tent, maybe an airbeam?

RedKites · 28/12/2016 22:45

We enjoyed testing the go gos. We've kept buying them and indeed will need to buy some more soon!

mummytime · 28/12/2016 22:46

The paint last year was good. The only thing I remember this year was the financial product which wasn't really useful for where we are at.
Something teen related would be good, or food or outings (sad to miss HP).

Sarah170185 · 28/12/2016 23:05

although im rather new to the insight panel i must admit iv found it rather enjoyable so far, iv been able to comment on a few threads and have enjoyed reading other peoples posts, i have enjoyed reading up on the post's people have been able to test products as i was able to read a honest review of items from real mums and dad's, i hope in 2017 il be given the chance to get more involved but thank you to everyone for their hard and amazing work this year

SazBombDon · 29/12/2016 07:04

I would love to product test outdoor toys or new toddler snacks please

justamoment · 29/12/2016 07:52

Don't think I've tested anything this year, but was part of a focus group which was quite fun and interesting. Would like to test a steam mop - can they really be as good as they appear to be? Also eco-products and/or hair or skin care for sensitive skin - always keen to try new ones of those. Experiences/days out for approaching-secondary-age kids also good. The Harry Potter would have been amazing to participate in, as HP has been the main preoccupation for my tween over the last year or so. Thanks mumsnet for a brilliant year of a brilliant site - looking forward to seeing it continue to go from strength to strength throughout 2017! Smile

CordeliaScott · 29/12/2016 10:42

I loved reviewing Himself by Jess Kidd

I could do with a new tumble dryer so testing one of those would be useful!

sillygoof · 29/12/2016 11:05

I've joined the panel! I've got two year old and a baby so I'd like to test anything that would make my life easier with them.

lalamcbride · 29/12/2016 11:20

I really enjoyed taking part in the Pedigree test. The dog really loved testing out the food. I also loved reading some of the books on the book club, and I was able to pass them onto to friends to enjoy also. So they benefited to. I would love to test more food or beauty products in 2017. Thank you for all the products tests in 2016 Mumsnet. Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and here's to a fantastic 2017

WeeMadArthur · 29/12/2016 12:06

I'm a happy panel survey answerer, but missed out on a few products I would have loved to test (the new washing machine for one). I would like more of the product trials to be suitable for school aged children, DS is too old for most of them now.

Bearsinmotion · 29/12/2016 13:23

I'd like to test anything baking / cooking related! I am a good cook, but only took up cooking in my 20s and baking with DD (now 4) in my 30s. I really want her and DS (2) to grow up enjoying cooking and eating healthily.

katiewalters · 29/12/2016 17:13

I Am already signed up to the panel. Next year I would love to test a smart TV or Dyson as I've always wanted a Dyson vacuum.

duggerlugs · 29/12/2016 17:51

I'd love to test beauty or household products. U K breaks would be great too.

Enjoyed getting a winners email for a prize drawer and every test I've been on this year.

Thanks mumsnet.

SmileAndNod · 29/12/2016 18:38

We loved testing the new pizza express menu and have since been back twice as a family.

Selfishly I would love to test out beauty products, a fitness tracker or failing that, spanx.

Oh and gin. If there's any gin testing going on please sign me up 🍸😁
