yes exactly ladyfio. And it rather suggests that there has been responses that require wariness. Given that everyone has stayed off the bloody threads it has made me a bit . But then lots of things have made me a bit the last few days.

Exactly. Especially given how personal and painful it might be for some on here, a very respectful stance was taken. That doesn't appear to have been noticed, and the very act of having a different opinion/ different thoughts has been twisted into some sort of act of judgment. I'm pretty annoyed about it, but note my response (respectfully kept to a different thread) hasn't been replied to.

I enjoy lurking on here and get upset when things like this happen.

I'm anti homebirths coz my mum's friend told of how her very first week as a doctor fresh out of med school involved having to decapitate a dead baby that was born breech and it's head was stuck in the mother who was looking like she was in danger of dying too. Everyone here on the sn thread have been a source of strenght for me.

granted that it was in a village in a developing country and was 30 years ago, it still scared the living daylights out of me. considering that the very same country still has a maternal mortality rate of 95 per 1000 births, I'll never take the chance (I personally know of at least 20 women who have died giving birth).

Plus I don't understand why anyone would want to give birth and get up to do the housework a few minutes later. Giving birth in the hospital is the closest I've come to being waited on hand and foot and I was happy to take advantage of it.

I didn't choose to 'save my child from a life of uncertainty' by terminating him. Definitely no sainthood or Rt Honorableness for me then.
