I really don’t know how you can evidence it. Could you get the citizens advice to help you with it as it’s wrong your having to fight so hard but clearly deserve the award. It’s all so wrong isn’t it xx

I might have to. Ive got my disability worker writing me a letter of statement about her night time needs and im going to call the gp tomorrow. Im also going to speak to my health visitor and see if she can help too. Its always the case i always have to fight for my children its awful. Im still waiting on my MR from july and ive got two new claims but i have a feeling il have to fight for them too, i semt so much evidence for all of them!! Xx

Just to let you know my scan date was 28th November (called for forms 13th Nov) and I received £527.30 this morning which is MRC and £10 Christmas bonus I think.

Really pleased with this as my daughter has just turned 4 years old awaiting autism diagnosis.
Keeping fingers crossed for those of you waiting.

CGGMmum · 07/01/2026 06:46

We were awarded MRC 14/10/25 and sent back letter and evidence for a MC within 2 weeks. I know we are in for a long wait but not even had a scan date yet, is that normal. Thank you :-)

Crispbutties · 07/01/2026 07:30

My scan date was 30/12. Phoned up for the form on 24/11. Received payment of £628.60 today, can anyone help me work out what we are receiving? Thanks!

NC sent on 23/12 royal mail tracked. Was delivered on 24/12. I’ve just rang now to see what my scan date was and they said it still hasn’t been scanned in and they are working around 21/12 so to ring back next week. I’m so worried they’ve lost it. Is this usual for it to take this long to scan it on ? TIA x

You said your scan date was 30/12. Do you mind if I ask when u actually sent it and how long it took for them to scan it onto the system. I sent mine off on 24/12 and still not been scanned. Congratulations on your award x

user1497874196 · 07/01/2026 11:44

My daughters dla claim was rejected. They say I cannot claim it as she doesn't require help with personal care or bodily functions through out the day. Which if they had read the form properly they would see that she does. I now have evidence in the form of a letter from her paediatrician and a sen plan from school. My question is, do I have to do a MR or can I just do a new claim?. I'm not really bothered about losing out on backpay. But I am struggling to keep working and meeting her needs so I just want the option with the quicker decision if that makes sense x

Wow that was super quick from being scanned on then. So only a week from being scanned you were awarded? I spoke to them today and they said it can take 10 working days to be scanned so with Christmas and new year I assume I’m not at that point yet. I’ll call them again next week to see if it’s been put on the system xx

SD 02.12.2025
Decision 05.01.2026
called today, claim rejected. absolutely heartbroken, life is so hard right now, I can’t believe they couldn’t see that.

Ncheetham01 · 07/01/2026 13:06

Finally!
NC SD 1/10/25
approved 6/01 (called yesterday morning and hadn't been done so must of been in the afternoon) MRC LRM till 30/09/27.
Now to wait for other sons renewal due to end 12/02 forms sent back 7/10

Vickymumof3 · 07/01/2026 13:40

NC SD 31/12 I don’t think DLA have a clue what they’re are doing. Received a letter this morning saying that the full name I have put on the forms for my son doesn’t match with the records they hold for him and to send proof of his full name. Confused by this I rang DLA to be told they don’t understand why I’ve been sent the letter as the name I put on the form matches all other DWP info that they hold for myself and my son. Was then told the letter must have been sent in error and the person dealing with my claim must have been “tired” or having an “off day” 🙄either way I’m sending the birth certificate regardless. My son’s claim last year ran smoothly and received an outcome after 15 weeks. Not holding much hope this time when I’m already being sent letters in error 😂

They definitely haven’t got a clue what they are doing. Deffo send over the birth certificate anyway. I sent my NC back on 24/12 and I know it got there because I sent it tracked but he said it’s not been scanned yet. Can I ask what date you sent yours back please ? I’m hoping mine gets scanned on soon and it’s not lost ! X

Did you receive a letter? I sent my forms royal mail tracked, they were delivered on the 22nd then they sent a letter back saying they had my forms and to send my sons birth certificate which was dated the 23rd of December? I received these on the 2nd Jan and sent of his birth certificate the same day. Have not received his birth certificate back yet.

Nope nothing at all. No letter or anything. I rang them today and they said it hasn’t been scanned yet so not sure what’s going on 😩😩

COC scan date 16/09
Renewal scan date 25/11
Renewal end date 10/02
Had a text this evening to say my child qualifies for DLA, which is one huge relief. I called and left a note on my account yesterday to say I’m sending in further evidence to support higher rate mobility so fingers crossed

Hi does anyone know what I should be getting from UC if I get awarded MRC and LRM?

£158.76 disabled child element and £201.68 for carers element if you dont already get it for another child. Make sure you also ask for it to be backdated to the day you was awarded. X
