Hi everyone does anyone know if the scan date is the day they recieved the forms? I sent my twins forms of on the 9th of feb and recived conformation on the 10th, would the 10th be the scan date?x

It's when you called for the forms. If you printed them out at home then it'll be the date they recieved them

The scan date is the day they scanned them in (10th when they text you) but you would be backdated to the day you called for the forms. I called them today & he confirmed my scan date was 05/01 but I rang for forms in November

Thankyou, they seem to be doing new claims quite quick👏 ive only just sent off both my twins new claims, hoping they dont take to long. I hope your child is rewarded the claim. Defo makes sense to do a new claim rather then MR as they seem to be taking forever x

Thank you!! 🙏 I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you too. Do you have a scan date? I’ve seen recent MR’s flying through but didn’t realise that at the time so that’ll be our next step if this application is rejected but I sent in more evidence this time whereas our claim in December was purely my account as mum. Such a tough process emotionally, when we’re already going through the grinder every day, it’s a difficult process for sure!

Im praying its enough evidence. I think their scan date is the 10 of feb, i only sent them of this monday on the 9th and sent them travked ans signed for. I received a text on the 10th to say they had the claim form so im that is the scan date🤞. Praying you get good news soon x

0800reverse · 14/02/2026 11:13

Hi all,

renewal last July they changed my daughters award from LRC and LRM to just LRC.

my daughter has cerebral palsy and her care needs are higher than a child of her age.

MR date 31st July, just received a letter to say they aren’t changing their decision.

I don’t know if I have any fight left in me for a tribunal.

feel so deflated
x

Sskanf · 14/02/2026 11:38

@0800reverse I would definitely go to tribunal that's ridiculous that they've lowered the award considering the condition. Get a doctors letter to back your claim or any other professionals involved

Kmcx93 · 14/02/2026 11:44

Morning everyone and Happy Valentines Day 🥰
xan anyone shed any light on waiting times for renewals currently? SD 29/01 so very new in the game, have put it to the back of my mind but wondered when I should start thinking about it again haha!
thanks in advance x

I’ve decided to go to tribunal!

she’s always received LRC and then LRM when she turned 5, she’s now nearly 13!

ive just never had it in me to fight for an MR until her renewal last year when they took away the LRM!

it really baffles me how they come up with their decisions especially with all the evidence I sent in too!

Sskanf · 14/02/2026 14:38

@0800reverse I really can't understand why your daughter would be on low rate surely it should be a lot higher than that. A child with cerebral palsy has very high care needs. Ask the school senco to write a supporting letter too. I've seen a lot go for tribunal and getting the award they deserve. My sons got severe global development delay aged 6 but mentally like a 12 month old and is non verbal but still on middle.rate care. He has 1-1 support for the whole time he's in school. So surely yours should be higher.
If you get middle or high u can even get carers as u are very much owed it. Keep going don't give up

This is awful, im the same as you my daughter has cerebral palsy and has just turned 3 and still can't walk or stand, I done a mr on July 15th 2025 and it wasn't with a dm last week, she was awarded low care but I believe and know this should be higher with her other diagnosis, I did a coc in December for the mobility as physiotherapy insisted and gave loads of evidence. Please take this further 🙏

When does your current award end? I think they go by the end date rather than when they received forms. Mine took nearly 3 weeks for a decision so not long at all, my award was til March, but I've seen others who put their renewals in before me but their award doesn't end til may and they've not had a decision so that's why I'm assuming they go by the end date of the current award rather than the order the renewals came in, hope that helps. It was my first renewal too so was clueless but this thread helped a lot, good luck.
